ROCHESTER - Wayne E. Weidner Jr., 44. 501 N. Thayer St., Bourbon, died Oct. 26, 2004 at 3:42 p.m. at Community Hospital, Bremen, shortly after arrival.
Wayne was born Dec. 30, 1959 in Plymouth to Wayne E. and Norma (Lotz) Weidner Sr.
He had lived in the Bourbon Community for the past five years, moving from Bremen. He attended Plymouth High School.
He was a member of United Methodist Church, Bourbon.
He is survived by a daughter Stephanie Holderread of Bourbon; two sons Travis Weidner of Macy and Taylor Weidner of Bremen; his mother Norma J. Lemler of Bourbon; two sisters Tonya (Chester) Shuster of Etna Green and Brenda (David) Haag of Walkerton; a stepsister Gina (Frank) Courtois of Warsaw; two brothers Mike Weidner of Plymouth and Steven Weidner of Bourbon; a stepbrother Jon Sapp of Cincinnati, Ohio; his paterna grandmother Opal Weidner of Rochester; maternal grandmother Olive Shaffer of Plymouth; three nieces; and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Wayne E. Weidner Sr. on March 23, 1998; his grandfather Harley O. Weidner on Aug. 18, 1987; and a maternal grandfather Caroll Lotz.
Services will be Friday, Oct. 29, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. in Foster and Good Funeral Home, 128 W. Sixth St., Rochester, with Pastor Robert Raschka officiating.
Burial will follow in Reichter Cemetery, northeast of Rochester.
Visitation will be Thursday, 4-8 p.m., or one hour prior to services in the funeral home on Friday.

Timothy Enos

PLYMOUTH - Timothy Enos died Oct. 21, 2004, in Kaiser Permanente Hospital, San Francisco. The cause of death was cancer.
Surviving are his daughter Krista of Moss Beach, Calif.; his son Theo of Palo Alto, Calif.; his brother Matthew of Evanston, Ill.; his sister Catherine Mandt of Madison, Wis.; and his mother Edith (Boys) Enos of Plymouth.
Memorial services in the San Francisco area and in Plymouth will be held later.

BREMEN - Gerald Wayne Higgins, 80, of Lake of the Woods died Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. at his residence.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Higgins; two sons Kenny Higgins of Wakarusa and Kevin Higgins of Syracuse; a daughter Terry (Tom) Miller of Carmel; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Bremen Cemetery with Jim Morse and Tom Padberg officiating.
Memorial gifts may be given to Hospice of Marshall County or Bremen Community Hospital.

ROCHESTER - Dale Rhodes, 81, of Rochester died Tuesday at 3:23 p.m. at Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, Plymouth. He had been in failing health for the past year.
He is survived by his wife Vernice N. Rhodes; three daughters Sandra Rogers of Rochester, Kimberly (Robert) England of Vandalia, Ohio, and Michele (Todd) Hubenthal of Logansport; a son Dale Lynn (Karen) Rhodes of West Carrollton, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three sisters Irene Miller of Rochester, Lorene (Don) Spice of Rochester and Nina Chapman of Rochester.
Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Foster and Good Funeral Home, Rochester, with Pastor Rodney Ruberg officiating.
Burial will follow in Independent Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester.
Visitation will be Friday, 4-8 p.m., or one hour prior to services on Saturday in the funeral home.

KOONTZ LAKE - George Edward Singleton, 59, of Walkerton died Wednesday at Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, following an illness.
He is survived by his wife Mary Jo; two daughters Chana Mikel and Mary Singleton of Walkerton; a son Ivan Singleton of LaPorte; sisters Ramona Everly of Plymouth, Ida Mae Robinson and Velma Phenis, both of Walkerton, and Glenna Hahn of North Judson; and brothers James Singleton of Walkerton and Larry Singleton of Grovertown.
Visitation will be Friday, 3-8 p.m., at Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel, and Saturday at the church one hour prior to services.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Blissville Church of the Brethren.
Matthew Heckaman-Ferraro

Matthew Heckaman (Ferraro) former resident of Plymouth, died Oct. 20, 2004 at the age of 22.
He is survived by his wife Stacie; his mother and stepfather Claire and Eddy Ferraro; his stepsister Cynthia Ferraro (Daniel Aston) of Montreal, Quebec; his father and stepmother Marshall and Sharon Heckaman of Columbia City; along with his siblings Deana Baker of Star Prairie, Wis., Andria Macdonald, Mukwonago, Wis., David Heckaman of Paris, Texas, and Alan Heckaman, of Wasilla, Alaska; his grandparents Adrien and Cecile Blanchette of Montreal, John and Ruth Heckaman of Columbia City.
He will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.

PLYMOUTH - Carl J. Bradford, 81, of Las Vegas, Nev., passed away Monday, Oct. 28, 2004.
He was born Oct. 25, 1923 in Plymouth to Carl E. and Stella (Klapp) Bradford.
He married Ruth Bradford on Oct. 2, 1947 and she passed away May 30, 2003.
Carl was a graduate of Lincoln High School in 1942 and went to DePauw for one year. He was a sales representative and served his country during World War II in the Navy. He was a third class petty officer on U.S.S Randolph in charge of the ordnance.
They had lived between Plymouth and South Bend for several years and then moved to California for seven years before living in Las Vegas for the past 21 years.
He is survived by his children Pamela Miller and Jody Bradford, both of San Carlos, Calif., Mark Bradford of Palmdale, Calif., Kirk Bradford of Edwardsburg, Mich., Lisa Bradford of Henderson, Nev., and Michael Bradford of Las Vegas; along with 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Friday, Nov. 5, 2004 at 2 p.m. at New Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Dean Fagan officiating.

WARSAW - C. Darl Craft, 81, of Etna Green, died at 7:53 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30 in Grace Village Health Care.
He is survived by his children: Debra (Ron) Robinson, Etna Green and Greg (Candy) Craft, Bourbon; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and his sister, Nelline Pike, North Fort Myers, Fla.
Visitation is Thursday, Nov. 4 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Deaton Funeral Home, Bourbon.
Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 5 at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Robert Cover officiating.

She is survived by two daughters Wilhelmina Lashley of Brunswick, Ga., and Anneka Warner of New Carlisle; a sister Annie Neeltue Kerkelaan of Amsterdam, Holland; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, 5-8 p.m., at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, Plymouth.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at New Oakhill Mausoleum, Plymouth.

CULVER - Stuart E. Warren, 71, of Culver died Sunday at Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, at 7:55 p.m.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Warren; a son Steven E. (Janet) Warren of Steamwood, Ill.; two daughters Susan J. (Jeffrey) Trogman of Elk Grove Village, Ill., and Gloria J. (George) Trunek of Johnsburg, Ill.; four grandsons; and two granddaughters.
Visitation will be today, 3-9 p.m., at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave., Chicago.
Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Dorothy Gene Huff

PLYMOUTH - Community leader and teacher, Dorothy Gene Huff, 88, formerly of 120 South Liberty St., Plymouth, died of natural causes in Plymouth's Miller's Merry Manor at 12:05 p.m. on Tuesday, November 2, 2004.
Born in Wheatland on March 11, 1916, she was the daughter of Richard Frederick and Emma Jane Zimmerman Ringham. Her father was a school principal and later a superintendent of schools. Her mother was a former elementary teacher.
Dorothy attended public schools in Brook and LaPorte and graduated from Bloomington High School in 1933. She received a bachelor of arts from Indiana University in 1937 and taught English, Latin and world history in both junior and senior high schools for 181/2 years, 161/2 in Marshall County public schools. She did homebound teaching for almost six years as part of the school system. She also taught English to non-English speaking people under adult education.
On March 8, 1942, in Geneva, Dorothy married her college sweetheart, Tom R Huff. For four years, 1942 to 1946, she was a military wife while Tom served with the Army Air Force. After the war, they returned to Plymouth where he practiced law and later was elected the Judge of the Marshall Circuit Court. Married for 57 years, Judge Huff died on July 15, 1999.
Dorothy was a past worthy matron and member of the Order of Eastern Star, the American Legion Auxiliary and the War Mothers. She was a past president of the United Methodist Women, the American Association of University Women and the Democratic Women's Club.
She loved literature and history, devoting a lot of time to the family's genealogy. She and Tom traveled widely in the U.S. and Europe.
Dorothy is survived by her three sons and their families. They are Ralph "Rick" and Alice Huff, Plymouth; Dale Thomas and Sue Huff, Floyds Knobs; and Ross Kent Huff, Seattle, Wash. A sister-in-law, Evelyn Ringham of Boca Raton, Fla., also survives.
Eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild survive as well.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers, infant William Owen Ringham and Richard Frederick Ringham, Jr.
A celebration of Dorothy's life and service to others will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 5, 2004, in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth and continue one hour prior to services in the church. An Eastern Star Memorial Service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, in the First United Methodist Church, 400 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. The Rev. Dr. Dean Fager, pastor of the church, will officiate.
Interment will be in New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.
Memorial gifts in Dorothy's memory may be made to the First United Methodist Church.

John H. Kuzbay

SOUTH BEND - John H. Kuzbay, 85, residing on Wild Rose Lane, Mishawaka, passed away at 12:50 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004 at his home.
He retired in 1972 after 37 years with South Bend Lathe. John was previously employed with Gates Chevy and also managed apartments.
He was born on June 17, 1919 in Mishawaka to Peter and Sophie Kuzbay and was a lifelong area resident.
On Aug. 20, 1983 in South Bend, he married Carol Clark, who survives.
Along with his loving wife, Carol Kuzbay, he is survived by two daughters Janet Kuzbay and Mary Lou Nemes, both of South Bend; one son Robert Kuzbay of Crumstown; three stepsons Dan (Dianna) Clark of Broken Arrow, Okla., Joe B. (Deborah) Clark of Fort Wayne and Phillip (Jeanne) Clark of Goshen; 11 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one sister Francis (Harold) Sheeran of Cheney, Wash.
John was a perfectionist and there was never anything in the house that needed repair. He spent many years as a model railroader. He served in the United States Navy from 1936 -1940 aboard the USS Henley and USS Tennessee. He was a member of Albright United Methodist Church, Mishawaka.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 5, 2004 at Albright United Methodist Church, 504 W. Mishawaka Ave., Mishawaka. Rev. Dennis Ingle, Rev. Warren Kirkwood and Rev. Joe B. Clark will officiate.
Friends may call two hours prior to services in the church on Friday.
Contributions in memory of John H. Kuzbay may be made to Albright United Methodist Church.
