WALKERTON - Christine H. Moore, 46, of Walkerton, died Saturday, Aug. 28 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth of an illness.
She is survived by three daughters: Andrea Michell, Mishawaka; Valerie Moore, Knox and Megan Moore, Walkerton; son, Jerry Moore Jr., Chicago; her mother, Viola Barden, Walkerton; sister, Sandra Rough, Walkerton; and four brothers: Larry Barden, Evart, Mich.; Danny Barden, Duane Barden and Norman Barden, all of Walkerton.
Visitation is Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel.
Funeral services are Tuesday, Aug. 31 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

CULVER - Mary B. Slick, 86, of Culver, died on Friday, Aug. 27 at 7:03 a.m. at Miller's Merry Manor, Culver.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Alice (Jim) Weirick, Culver and Katherine A. (Kent E.) Perry, South Bend and one grandchild.
There will be no visitation.
Funeral services are Monday, Aug. 30 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church, Culver with Father Glenn Kohrman officiating.
Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, South Bend.

KNOX - Audrey W. Stephenson, 91, of Knox, died on Friday, Aug. 27 at her son's home in Plymouth of an illness.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Lou McDaniel, Knox; sons, Monte Stephenson, St. Cloud, Fla. and Duane Stephenson, Plymouth; four half-sisters: Ilene Hight, Warsaw; Corraine Mechling, Tippecanoe; Madeline Seniff, Sycamore, Ill. and Kathy Helton, Cleveland, Ohio; two half-brothers, Frank Hardesty, Mentone and Keith Hardesty, California.
Visitation is Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to services at the Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel.
Funeral services are Tuesday, Aug. 31 at noon at the funeral home.

CROSSVILLE, Tenn. - Samuel "Sam" Benjamin Carr, 88, of Crossville passed away Aug. 20, 2004 at Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville, Tenn.
He was born Oct. 6, 1915 in Rochester, son of Ray and Ruth Dawson Carr.
Mr. Carr was a block operator for Penn Central Railroad and member of First United Methodist Church. He was also a farmer, golfer and member of the Exchange Club and Lions Club.
Sam and Marie (Kline) Carr had been married since Sept. 1, 1940.
Sam is survived by his wife Marie Carr of Crossville; son Tom (Carolyn) Carr of Crossville; three daughters Donna (John) Williams of Milford, Conn., Janet (Steve) Miller of Shady Shores, Texas, and Mary (Karem) Mallick of Shepherdville, Ky.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister Helen Slemons of Sun City, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Ruth Carr; a son Richard Carr; two daughters Baby Girl Carr and Judith Carr; two brothers Walter and Harry Carr; and two sisters Irene Myers and Mary Frances Carr.
Memorial services will be Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004 at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Revs. Carleton Thackston and Raymond Pierson officiating.
Visitation will be noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
Memorial gifts may be given to First United Methodist Church Building Fund.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Lawrence; her daughter Suzanne Lynn (Gary) Noble of Shepherd; two sons Steven Alan (Cathy) Holmes of Shepherd and Scott (Jane) Holmes of Warsaw; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers Robert (Maxine) Smith of Dafter, Mich., William (Marcella) Smith of Sumner and Lee Smith of Alma; and three sisters Mary (Carl) Wheeler of McBride, Marjorie Burton and Helen Demoray of Ithaca.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home. Rev. Steven Wimmer will officiate.
Donations may be made to Gratiot County Cancer Fund.

He is survived by his wife Edna; daughter Joan (Robert) Ohm of Prescott, Ariz.; son Dale (Melissa) Carlson of Cassopolis, Mich.; sisters Beryl Green of Apache Junction and Sandra Carlson of Koontz Lake; and brothers James Carlson of Apache Junction and Richard Carlson of Titusville, Fla.
Visitation will be Thursday, 6-9 p.m., and Friday at 9 a.m. until the time of services at Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel.
