SHERMAN OAKS, Calif. - Robert Livinghouse, 82, died April 22, 2004 in his home.

He is survived by his wife June; a daughter Patty Livinghouse of Sherman Oaks; a son Tom Livinghouse of Boseman, Mont.; and a brother Dale Livinghouse of Plymouth.

PLYMOUTH - Inga Truman, 80, of Plymouth died Thursday at Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.

C. Glen Hayes

April 9, 2004

MISHAWAKA - C. Glen Hayes, 74, residing on Currant Road, Mishawaka, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2004 at Regency Place of South Bend. Mr. Hayes worked as maintenance supervisor for AM General Corporation, retiring in 1985 after 19 years of service. He previously worked at South Bend Lathe and Bendix Corporation. Mr. Hayes was born on November 6, 1929 in Yuma, Ariz. to Grant and Harriet Esther (Tidrick) Hayes. On August 27, 1950 in Argos he married Roberta L. Shafer who survives.

Along with his wife, Roberta Hayes of Mishawaka, he is survived by his daughter, Julie (Rev. Ron) Roberts of Laconia, N.H.; his son, Terry Hayes of Mishawaka; five grandchildren, Noelle, Chantelle, Robert, Daniel and Micah; and four brothers, Alvin Hayes of Texas, Frank Hayes of Arkansas, Keith Hayes of New Mexico and Roy Hayes of Missouri. He was preceded in death by his son, James Hayes on December 24, 1968; one sister, Julia Downs; and two brothers, Ray Hayes and Virgil Hayes.

Mr. Hayes served in the United States Military in the medic division during the Korean War.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. (Indiana time) Tuesday, April 13 at Edwardsburg United Pentecostal Church, 27341 US 12, Edwardsburg, MI 49112. Rev. Robert Geans, pastor of the church will officiate. Graveside services will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend and one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the church.

Contributions in memory of Mr. Hayes may be made to United Pentecostal Church Building Fund.

Ellen E. Heim

April 8, 2004

PLYMOUTH - Ellen E. Heim, 97, 7189 King road, died on Thursday, April 8, 2004, at 6:50 a.m. in Pilgrim Manor, Plymouth.

Ellen was born in Chicago, Ill. on Feb. 24, 1907, to John and Louisa Johnson Swanson. Both parents were from Sweden. Her family moved from Chicago to a farm in Polk township when she was 3 years old.

Ellen graduated from Tyner High School in 1925 and then earned her diploma from Manchester College.

On March 15, 1935, Ellen and David W. Heim were united in marriage by the Rev. Frank Lineberry in Elkhart. She taught primary school in Tyner for seven years and was a devoted farm wife.

Ellen was a long time member of the Helpful Hour Club. She was a precinct poll taker for the Republican party and a member of the Farm Bureau.

Having begun her faith in the Swedish Mission Church in Donaldson, she continued as a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church in Plymouth.

Ellen is survived by two sons, Stephen Heim, Plymouth and Don and Evelyn Heim, West Hills, Calif.

Three granddaughters also survive. They are Deborah Heim-Waddill and Nathan Waddill, Plymouth; Kathlyn and Glenn O'Shea of Castaic, Calif., and Karen and Bryon Zambello of Mason, Ohio. Two great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters survive as well. They are Sean and Kayla O'Shea of Castaic, Calif., and Lauren and Cameron Zambello of Mason, Ohio. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, David, in 1999, and by a sister, Ethel Nelson.

Friends may call at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth on Tuesday, April 13 from 4 to 8 p.m.

Services will be in the funeral home on Wednesday, April 14 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Dr. Dean Fager, pastor of the First United Methodist Church will officiate.

Burial will be in the New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth, Indiana

Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Plymouth, Indiana.

Lucile N. Fisher Speck

April 9, 2004

BREMEN - Lucile N. Fisher Speck, 95, of 316 Woodies Lane, Bremen, died Friday, April 9, 2004 at 4:50 a.m. at Bremen Heath Care Center.

She is survived by a daughter, Peggy (Carl) Ernsberger, Bourbon; sister, Betty (Bob) Miller, Leesburg, Fla.; brothers, Manford (Ruth) Norris, Wanatah, Ind. and Wendell Norris, Sebring, Fla.; seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; one great-great-great grandchild; four step-grandchildren and numerous step great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are Monday, April 12 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Bremen with Pastor Jerry Smith officiating.

Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church.

PLYMOUTH - Inga M. Truman, 80, of 625 Oak Hill Ave., Plymouth, died Thursday, April 8, 2004, at 1:40 p.m. at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.

She is survived by two children, Krista Megomae (William) Furry, and Lawrence Everett Truman; five grandchildren, Gregory (Katie) Truman Furry, Megan Nicole (Jack) Elsey, William Edward Furry, Trevor Kress Truman, and Kayle Kress Truman. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is Tuesday, April 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, Plymouth.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 13 at the church.

Burial will follow in New Oak Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions, in memory of Mrs. Truman, may be made to the Plymouth Arts Commission, 321 North Water Street, Plymouth, IN 46563.

Elaine Stoneburner

PLYMOUTH - Elaine Stoneburner, 74, 5417 N. Queen Road, Plymouth, passed away April 11, 2004 at 1:19 p.m. at Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.

She was born April 8, 1930 in Plymouth to Henry and Florence (Day) Hartman.

Elaine and Homer Stoneburner were married June 2, 1948 in Plymouth.

Elaine was a member of Tyner United Methodist Church and Tyner Rebecca Lodge 865. Elaine worked for the State of Indiana in the Bureau of Motor Vehicles as a driver examiner and retired from that in 1997 after 23 years. She is now the Polk Township trustee.

Elaine is survived by her husband Homer; her daughters Theresa (Don) Arthurhultz of Monterey, Rhonda (Steve) Cole of Paoli and Kim (Mark) Knight of Tyner; her sons Jeff Stoneburner of South Bend and Wayne (Brenda) Stoneburner of Hamlet; her sister Donna (James) Lamb of Plymouth; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Elaine is preceded in death by her parents and two grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday, April 15, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at Tyner United Methodist Church in Tyner with Rev. Cheryl Stratton officiating.

Burial will follow in Tyner Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 14, 2004, 2-4 or 6-8 p.m. at Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 W. Madison St., Plymouth, and one hour before the service at the church.

There will be a Rebekah Lodge memorial service Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.

The family requests memorial contributions be given to Tyner United Methodist Church.

Merton Bruce Snyder

April 12, 2004

SOUTH BEND - Merton Bruce Snyder, 52, residing on Central Ave., South Bend, passed away at 5:20 a.m. Monday, April 12, 2004 in the emergency room of South Bend Memorial Hospital.

He was born Jan. 11, 1952 in Plymouth as the son of Merton Elmer and Jessie (Becker) Snyder, and has lived in Marshall and St. Joseph counties all of his life.

On March 17, 1979 in Grace Baptist Church, South Bend he married Bonnie Lynn Aurand.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Bonnie, along with his two daughters, Rebekah and Anna Snyder both of South Bend; his mother, Jessie Snyder of Lake of the Woods; his two sisters, Sandra (Fred) Cook of Plymouth; Nancy (Darrel) Lee of Argos; and his two brothers, Stephen (Margie) Snyder of South Bend; and Stewart (Rosemary) Snyder of Plymouth. Also surviving Bruce is his father and mother-in-law, Lewis and Betty Aurand of Edwardsburg, Mich.; two sisters-in-law, Debbie (Randy) Anderson of South Bend; Dawn (Jim) Wise of Nappanee; and two brothers-in-law, Paul (Pam) Aurand of South Bend; and Dave (Sue) Aurand of Granger.

Bruce has been employed with the United States Postal Service for the past 24 years where he was currently serving as customer service supervisor at the Chippewa office.

He was a graduate of Bob Jones University, and a member of Community Baptist Church in South Bend where he also played in the church orchestra.

Services for Mr. Snyder will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 16, in Community Baptist Church, 5715 Miami Road, South Bend. Dr. Bud Steadman, pastor will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.

The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Thursday in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 South Michigan Street, South Bend, and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.

The family requests that memorial gifts in memory of Merton Bruce Snyder be offered to Community Baptist Church or Gideons International.

Kathy S. Bucher

April 11, 2004

AKRON - Kathy S. Bucher, 44, died Sunday at 12:22 a.m. at Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, Plymouth. She had been in failing health since January.

She is survived by a son Shawn (Jennifer) Bucher of Akron; one grandson; her mother Anna Belle Coughenour of Akron; a brother Mike (Vickie) Coughenour of Akron; and three nephews.

Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron with Pastor Steve Fleck and Pastor Terry Canfield officiating.

Visitiation will be Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 W. Rochester St., Akron.

Memorial gifts may be given to American Cancer Society.

Catherine L. Cox

March 20, 2004

PLYMOUTH - Catherine L. Cox, 94, of 12563 Hillside Drive, Plymouth, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at 8:40 a.m. at the Catherine Kasper Life Care Center, Donaldson.

She was born Feb. 25, 1910 in Polk Township to Hugh and F. Elizabeth (Bluebaugh) Biggins.

Catherine married Leonard Cox on May 29, 1971. He passed away in 1952.

She was a member of Saint Michael's Catholic Church, and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She also had been a volunteer at the hospital as a Pink Lady.

Catherine is survived by her son, Harold (Sherry) Cox of Plymouth; her daughters Dorothy (Larry) Starr of Plymouth, Marilyn Justice of Plymouth, and Marie (Dennis) Cannan of Plymouth. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and her sister, Margaret Niday of Peoria, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by two of her grandsons; Jason and David, and her brother Lewis Biggins.

Services will be held Saturday, April 3, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Saint Michael's Catholic Church, Plymouth, with Father William Kummer officiating.

Burial will be in New Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitation with the family, will be Friday, April 2, 2004 from 5-8 p.m. at the Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison Street, Plymouth.

The family requests memorial contributions be given to Saint Michael's Catholic Church, 612 North Walnut Street, Plymouth, IN 46563.
