BREMEN - Evelyn Johnson, 91, of Bremen died Tuesday at 2:10 p.m. at Bremen Health Care Center.

She is survived by her sons Wayne A. Johnson of Bremen and Roy A. (Sarah) Johnson of West Lafayette; and a sister Virginia L. Wurst of Hometown, Ill.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen, with Rev. Neil Wonnacott officiating.

Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, 5-8 p.m., at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen.

Memorial gifts may be given to Bremen Health Care Center.

Donna Louise Edgington

March 26, 2004

CULVER - Donna Louise Edgington, 91, 286 South Shore Drive, died Friday, March 26, 2004 at 11 p.m. at her residence.

Donna was born Jan. 19, 1913 in Culver to Claire (McLane) and Charles Medbourn.

She was a Culver resident since 1932, moving from Logansport. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church of Culver.

On June 16, 1935 she married Harry D. Edgington in Culver. He preceded her in death March 25, 1989.

She is survived by her sons Charles (Judy) Edgington of Culver, Fred (Peggy) Edgington of Harrodsburg, Ky., Rodney (Terri) Edgington of Culver and Philip (Andrea) Edgington of Clermont; a daughter Sherrill (Tom) Fujimura of Culver; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and a sister Merilyn Herrmann.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 31, 2004 from 2-8 p.m. and Thursday, April 1, 2004 from 10-11 a.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church, Culver.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the church with Pastor Linda S. Craig officiating.

Burial will follow at Culver Masonic Cemetery.

Memorial gifts may be given to Wesley United Methodist Church.

Andrew J. Hochstetler

March 27, 2004

PLYMOUTH - Andrew J. Hochstetler, 27, of 817 North Michigan Street, Plymouth, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2004 at 7:07 a.m. in Goshen Hospital after a car accident.

He was born on Sept. 16, 1976 in Bremen, to Alton and Jill (Jones) Hochstetler.

He was employed by Keystone Recreational Vehicle industry in Goshen.

Andrew is survived by his mother and stepfather, Jill and Mark Engle of Plymouth; his father and stepmother, Alton and Thelma Hochstetler of Argos; his stepbrother, Joshua Engle of Plymouth; his paternal grandmother, Jean Engle of Plymouth; and maternal grandfather, James "Pete" Wickey of Plymouth.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Hochstetler, his maternal grandmother, Rosalie Wickey, and his paternal grandfather, Edward Engle.

Services will be held Thursday, April 1, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at the Van Gilder Funeral Home in Plymouth.

Cremation will take place. Andrew will be buried with his brother in New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth, at a later time.

Friends may call Wednesday, March 31, 2004 from 4-7 p.m. at the Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison Street, Plymouth.

The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Timothy Hochstetler Scholarship Fund c/o the Marshall County Community Foundation, 2701 North Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN 46563.

Jessie M. Holland

March 28, 2004

PLYMOUTH - Jessie M. Holland, 95, 600 Oakhill Ave., Plymouth, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2004 at 3:17 p.m. in Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.

She was born Sept. 21, 1908 in Marshall County to Burt and Naomi (Wilson) Bradley. She had been a Marshall County resident most of her life. She lived in Florida for seven years.

Jessie and Floyd "Tom" Holland were married on Nov. 5, 1927. Tom passed away in 1997.

Jessie was a member of Plymouth Baptist Church, Marshall County Homemakers Extension in LaPaz and had been singing with the Marshall County Extension Choir for several years. She graduated form LaPaz High School in 1926. Jessie worked as a seamstress in her home as well as in a bridal shop in South Bend.

Jessie is survived by her son Ted (Peggy) Holland of Bourbon; her daughter Marilyn (Jim) Culia of Mentor, Ohio; her daughters-in-law Beverly Holland of Florida, Phyllis Dill of California and Cindy Holland of North Carolina; her son-in-law Jesse Mullins of Argos; 23 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sons Floyd (Sandy) Holland, Wayne Holland and James Holland; her daughter Ina Dean Mullins; and a brother and sister.

Services will be Friday, April 2, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at Van Gilder Funeral Home, Plymouth, with Rev. Douglas Jividen officiating.

Burial will follow in New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 1, 2004 from 4-7 p.m. at Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 W. Madison St., Plymouth.

John D. Schlosser

March 27, 2004

PLYMOUTH - Lifetime Plymouth resident, John D. Schlosser died at his residence, 2000 Felix Place, on Saturday, March 27, 2004.

John was born the son of William A. and Anna F. Stuprich Schlosser on Sept. 27, 1951, in South Bend.

A 1970 graduate of Plymouth High School, John continued his education at Purdue University, graduating in 1974, then he went on to Valparaiso University School Of Law, graduating in 1985.

On July 19, 1975, John and Jana L. Pritz were married in Lafayette.

As an Attorney, he enjoyed working with people, and helping them with his expertise. John loved cars, golf, and anything to do with Purdue.

John's family and friends were important to him, and he enjoyed spending time with them.

Active in many organizations, John was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, the Marshall County Bar Association, the Purdue Alumni Association, the John Purdue Club, the Plymouth Country Club, and the Valparaiso University Alumni Association.

John is survived by Jana, his wife of 28 years, a daughter, Trinna J. Schlosser and a son, J. David Schlosser, both of Plymouth, a sister, Elizabeth "Betsy" (Jack) Thomas of Yuma, Ariz., and two brothers, Sam and Karen Schlosser and Bill and Ann Schlosser, both of Plymouth. Several nieces also survive.

John's parents preceded him in death.

Visitation with the family to celebrate John's life will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at Johnson -Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, and at the Trinity United Methodist Church on Thursday, April 1, 2004 for one hour prior to the 11 a.m. memorial Service. Rev. William Kaster, pastor of the church, will officiate.

Internment will be in Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth.

Preferred memorials may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.

Gladys Irene Warren

March 28, 2004

ARGOS - Gladys Irene Warren, 74, formerly of 209 E. North St., Argos, died March 28, 2004 in Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth, following a 10-year illness.

Gladys was born June 17, 1929 to Verne and Flossie (Musselman) Rush. She lived her entire life in the Argos and Tippecanoe communities.

On June 25, 1949 she married Dale Edward Warren, who preceded her in death Aug. 20, 1991.

She was a homemaker and employed at the former Hart Schaffner and Marx Corp., Rochester.

She is survived by two daughters Clara (Carl) Hollar of Argos and Jeannette (Tim) Horvath of Plymouth; two sons Don (June) Warren of Culver and Raymond "Pee Wee" Warren (Pam Kruder) of Plymouth; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a brother Buel Robinson; and a sister Hazel Hannaway.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and five siblings.

Services will be Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. in Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos. Pastor Wayne Mikel and Tom Padberg, chaplain of Marshall County Hospice, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos.

Visitation will be today, March 30, 2004, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home and one hour prior to services.

Memorial gifts may be given to Marshall County Hospice.

Carolyn Rose Weakly

March 28, 2004

BOURBON - Carolyn Rose Weakly, 80, of 600 W. Liberty Ave., Bourbon, died at 1:05 a.m. on Sunday, March 28, 2004 in LuAnn's Nursing Home of Nappanee. She had been ill for the past year and a half. Carolyn suffered with rheumatoid arthritis for most of her life.

Mrs. Weakly, the daughter of Martin Louis and Lydia Olga Tomlinson Rullman, was born in Plymouth on Dec. 21, 1923. She attended Plymouth High School and graduated with the class of 1943. She then attended the Elkhart Business College.

Carolyn married James Weakly on Jan. 1, 1948 at the Methodist Church in Plymouth.

She was a faithful member of the Bourbon First United Methodist Church and was active in the United Methodist Women for many years. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Carolyn always had a smile for those she came in contact with. She always had a positive outlook and never had a bad word to say about anyone.

She is survived by her husband, James; daughters, Ann (James) Auer, Clunette and Lydia (Dan) Wiseley, Nappanee; son, Delbert Weakly, Bourbon; four grandchildren, Megan (Troy) Miller, Courtney (Gary) Wareham, Jacki Wiseley and Ashley Auer; five great-grandchildren, Steven Stouder, Shelby Wagoner, Trevor Miller, Kalifornia Wareham and Nevada Wareham; and brothers, Tom Rullman, Oklahoma City and Paul Rullman, Borger, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Louis Rullman.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 31 from 2 to 8 p.m. in the Deaton Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 1 in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions can be made to Southern Care Hospice or LuAnn Nursing Home in her memory.

Visitation is today from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Strabler Funeral Home, Toledo and on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen.

Graveside services will be on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Bremen Cemetery.
