Naoma Margaret Gilbert
Services for Naoma Margaret Gilbert, 85, of 221 Humphrey St., will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Marocco Funeral Chapel.
She died at 12:05 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2000, in Chase Center.
Born Nov. 17, 1914, in Clay City, she was the daughter of Ira and Rosa Hostetler Taylor. On June 23, 1934, she was married to Clyde L. Gilbert, who died on Aug. 22, 1986.
A homemaker, she was a 1937 graduate of Gerstmeyer High School in Terre Haute.
Surviving are three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Ada and William Ziegler, Speedway; Sally and Morris Short, Logansport; and Rosemary Peebles, Paso Robles, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
Two brothers and one sister preceded in death.
Pastor Mark Berg will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Seymour., where a graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday.
Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
Lewis A. Lawson
ROYAL CENTER -- Lewis A. Lawson, 70, of Royal Center, died at 3:12 p.m. Thursday in Community Hospital East, Indianapolis.
Arrangements are pending at Harrison-Metzger Royal Center Chapel.
Vera Pearl Burns Hughes
MONTICELLO -- Services for Vera Pearl Burns Hughes, 87, of 402 Tioga Road, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home.
She died at 1:58 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2000, in Home Hospital, Lafayette.
The Rev. James Cobb will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Riverview IOOF Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour before the services.
Memorial contributions can be made to the White County Historical Society, Indianapolis Museum of Art and the First Presbyterian Church.
Jane Justice Miller
MARTINSBURG, W. Va -- A memorial service for Jane Justice Miller, 56, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Church, 200 W. King St.
The wife of John Douglas Miller, Marshy Dell, Gerrardstown, W.V., died Wednesday, March 8, 2000, at City Hospital.
Born Feb. 6, 1944, in Logansport, she was the daughter of William Franklin and Paulita Sheets Justice.
She was a 1962 graduate of Logansport High School and a 1966 graduate of Purdue University, earning a degree in interior design. She moved to Washington, D.C., after graduating to work at Woodward and Lothrop, Incorporated, as a staff interior designer. She later became an assistant to Mariam Crocker, a lamp and shade designer in Georgetown.
It was at Woodward and Lothrop where she met her future husband, also an employee. They were married in 1971 and moved to Gerrardstown.
She operated an interior design business, Jane Miller Interiors, in the eastern panhandle area. Her work was featured in regional and national publications, including Colonial Homes Magazine.
She was active in the Trinity Episcopal Church, Martinsburg, and was a member of the Olde Berkeley Garden Club.
Also surviving are her mother, two children, Anne Comfort Miller, Durham, N.C., and Douglas Gold Miller, Breckenridge, Colo.; one brother and sister-in-law, Wilson C. and Leah Justice, Logansport; and one sister and brother-in-law, Mary E. and Jim Lavender, Logansport.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Brown Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, Boyd Orchard Road, Martinsburg, WV 25401.
Kroeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Lewis A. Lawson
ROYAL CENTER -- Services for Lewis A. Lawson, 70, of Royal Center, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Harrison-Metzger Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel.
He died at 3:12 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2000, in Community Hospital East, Indianapolis.
Born Feb. 18, 1930, in Cecilia, Ky., he was the son of Lee Lawson and Ethel Wilmouth. On Feb. 3, 1951, in Pike Creek Christian Church, Monticello, he was married to Irene Weaver, who survives.
He was a retired service station owner and operator in Royal Center.
He was a former member of the Royal Center Town Board. He was also a member and past master of Royal Center F&AM Lodge #585, O.E.S. #375 in Royal Center, and Scottish Rite, Fort Wayne.
He enjoyed camping and fishing.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Also surviving are one son, David L. Lawson, Royal Center; two daughters, Janet Miller, New Palestine, and Diane Lawson, Star City; one brother, Junior Lawson, Monticello; two stepsisters, Helen Landrum, Missouri, Mabel Haygood, Monticello; one stepbrother, Jim, of Pennsylvania; stepmother, Alma Lawson, Monticello; one aunt, Ida Sprinkle, Elizabethtown, Ky.; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
One granddaughter and one stepbrother preceded in death.
Burial will be in Bell Center Cemetery, Idaville. A Masonic memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday, with a graveside military service.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy can be made to the American Heart Association.

Mary E. Voglund, 76, of 712 Glenway Drive, Logansport, died at 12:40 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2000, in SCCI Hospital, Kokomo.

ROCHESTER -- Harvey Clary Jr., 77, of 114 1/2 E. 8th St., died March 11, 2000, in South West Florida Regional Medical Center, Fort Myers, Fla.

Chris McNulty
COOL, Calif. -- Chris McNulty, 32, loving husband, brother, son and friend, passed away on Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, in his residence in Cool.
Born Aug. 7, 1967, in Logansport, Chris graduated from Logansport High School in 1985. He married the love of his life and best friend, Dana, in 1994.
Chris graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago as a physical therapist in 1997. His kind heart and generous nature naturally led him to specialize in pediatrics.
He is survived by his wife, Dana; his sister, Amy, of Chicago; his mother, Betty, of Florida; and his father and stepmother, Gene and Julie, of Logansport.
Memorial contributions may be made in Chris’s name to the American Brain Tumor Association, 2720 River Road, Suite 146, Des Plaines, IL 60018-4110.
Helen M. Good Hall
WINAMAC -- Services for Helen M. Good Hall, 75, of 20175 Upton Road, Culver, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Frain Mortuary.
She died at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2000, in her residence.
Born March 27, 1924, in Buffalo, she was the daughter of Adrian and Florence Dietz Hoch. On July 31, 1943, in South Bend, she was married to Herchel E. Good, who died Nov. 5, 1985. On Dec. 13, 1993, she was married in Plymouth to John Hall, who died Aug. 30, 1999.
Mrs. Hall retired from Eaton Corporation in Winamac in 1975. She was also a homemaker and a former 4-H leader in Marshall County.
She was a member of Monterey United Methodist Church in Monterey and the Culver Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 6919 Auxiliary.
The Rev. Dorothy Jones will officiate the services. Burial will be in Pulaski Presbyterian Cemetery, Pulaski.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Beckie and Bob Hoffman, Culver; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffery and Tammy Good and Kent and Cynthia Good, all of Culver; nine grandchildren, Vince Hoffman, Kelly Hoffman, Tonja Good, Stephanie Good, John Good, Max Good, Jesse Good, Charles Good and Paige Good, all of Culver; one great-grandchild, Tanner Hoffman, Culver; two sisters, Vivian Marx and Dorothy Coonrod, both of Buffalo; one stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Trudy and Harold Scott, Atlanta, Ga.; one stepson, Jon J. Hall, Winter Haven, Fla.; two stepgrandchildren and one stepgreat-grandchild.
One sister, Annabelle, preceded in death.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 8 a.m. Monday in the mortuary.

Services for Mary E. Voglund, 76, of 712 Glenway Drive, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the First Assembly of God Church.
She died at 12:40 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2000, in SCCI Hospital, Kokomo.
Born Aug. 20, 1923, in Warren County, she was the daughter of Aaron and Edith Hurst Hewitt. On May 17, 1947, she was married in Oxford to George L. Voglund, who survives.
A homemaker, she had been employed with Federal-Mogul when it operated under the name Switches, Inc.
A World War II veteran of the WAVEs, she was a member of Logansport American Legion Post 3790. She also was a member of the League of Women Voters.
She enjoyed playing bingo.
Also surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Steven L. and Debra S. Voglund, and one daughter, Georgene Kinsey, all of Logansport; one sister, Shirley Rainwater, Arizona; and seven grandchildren, Kevin, Bob and Beth Kinsey, and Kellie, Brad, Amy and Jamie Voglund, all of Logansport.
Three sisters preceded in death.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in McCloskey-Hamilton-Gundrum Funeral Home, where the VFW Auxiliary will hold a memorial service at 7 p.m., and one hour before the services Tuesday in the church.
Pastor Andy Weil will officiate the services. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Assembly of God Church.

AKRON -- Services for Ralph E. Martin, 66, 205 N. Cherry St., will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron.
He died Sunday, March 12, 2000, in his residence.

He was stillborn at 4:35 a.m. Thursday, March 9, 2000, in Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Landstuhl, Germany.
Surviving are his parents, David and Marlene McCullum, Konken, Germany; one brother, Shawn McCullum, Monticello; one sister, Paula McCullum, Logansport; maternal grandparents, Arthur and Madeleine Hall, Sunland, Calif.; paternal grandparents, Clarence and Carol McCullum, Logansport; paternal great-grandmothers, Florence Shaw, Logansport, and Mina McCullum, Corydon; three uncles, Scott, Rick and Gerry McCullum; two aunts, Catherine Pensanti and Alexandra Hernandez; and several cousins.
One niece, Gabriel Temple, preceded in death.
Dr. Horace Smith will officiate the services.
There will be no visitation.
