Harvey Clary Jr.
ROCHESTER -- Services for Harvey Clary Jr., 76, of 114 1/2 E. Eighth St., will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Foster & Good Funeral Home.
He died at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2000, in South West Florida Regional Medical Center, Fort Myers, Fla., near his winter home in Leigh Acres, Fla.
Born March 29, 1923, in Rochester, he was the son of Harvey Sr. and Elva Grace Lowe Clary. On Sept. 4, 1954, he was married in Marion to Annabelle Rouch, who survives.
Mr. Clary was a partner in the Rouch Insurance Agency in Rochester for 27 years until he retired.
A 1942 Rochester High School graduate, he was a lifetime resident of Rochester, wintering in Florida since 1984. He attended Grace United Methodist Church in Rochester and First Presbyterian Church in Leigh Acres.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II in the European and South Pacific Theaters, and was actively involved in the D-day invasion of Omaha Beach in France.
A member of the LeRoy Shelton American Legion Post No. 36, he also belonged to Rochester Manitou Moose Lodge No. 1107, Elks Lodge No. 2120, F&AM Lodge No. 79, Scottish Rite Valley in South Bend, and the Oxbow Golf Club in LaBelle, Fla.
Also surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Darla and Murro Martens, Lewisville, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Carlita Clary, Garland, Texas; one sister-in-law, Pat Clary, Rochester; two granddaughters, Jeana Clary, Dallas, Texas, and Melinda Clary, Lubbock, Texas; and two grandsons, Kevin Martens and his wife Cara, Lewisville, Texas, and Kurt Martens, College Station, Texas; and one nephew and his wife, James and Beverly Clary, Peru
A brother, Richard Clary, preceded in death Jan. 15, 1993.
Pastor Rick Taylor will officiate the services. Burial, with American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars graveside rites, will be in Fulton Cemetery, Fulton.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and one hour before the services Thursday in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association and Grace United Methodist Church in Rochester.
Grace M. Baldwin Hall
DELPHI -- Services for Grace M. Baldwin Hall, 95, formerly of 1447 N. Washington St., Delphi, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Abbott Funeral Home.
She died at 9:20 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2000, in St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center, Delphi, where she had resided since October 1998.
Pastor Steve Viars will officiate the services. Burial will be in IOOF Memorial Gardens, Pittsburg.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lockport Church.
Dixie L. Arven
Graveside services for Dixie L. Arven, 78, of 4501 High Street Road, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in IOOF Cemetery, Rochester.
She died at 11:26 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2000, in St. Vincent’s Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born Feb. 21, 1922, in Decatur, she was the daughter of Harold and Francile Burger Harvey. She was married on Sept. 4, 1941, in Rochester, to E. Dean Arven, who survives.
Mrs. Arven was a homemaker and a former member of the Rochester First United Methodist Church.
She was a 1941 graduate of Rochester High School.
Also surviving are two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Mary Harvey, Monroe, and Gary and Mary Ann Harvey, Decatur; one sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Jack Parker, Pierceton; and several nieces and nephews.
Two brothers, Jack Harvey and James Harvey, preceded in death.
The Rev. George Hapner will officiate at the services.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in McCloskey-Hamilton-Gundrum Funeral Home.
Michael J. Hill
KOKOMO -- Michael J. Hill, 44, of 3588S County Road 350E, Kokomo, died at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2000, in Howard Community Hospital, Kokomo.
Arrangements are pending at Ellers Mortuary.
Maxine Huddleston
PERU -- Services for Maxine Huddleston, 81, of 355 Blair Pike, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home.
She died at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2000, in her residence.
The Rev. George McCarty will officiate the services. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico.
There will be no visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church and the Salvation Army.
Timothy ‘Tim’ Arnold
PERU -- Services for Timothy "Tim" Arnold, 21, of 254 1/2 E. Sixth St., will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home.
He died at 3:27 a.m. Thursday, March 16, 2000, as a result of a vehicle accident at Miami County roads 550E and 400S.
The Rev. George McCarty will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Peru.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Eric K. Fort
KEWANNA -- A gathering for Eric K. Fort of Kewanna will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kewanna Church of Christ.
He died at 6:50 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2000, in a car accident at U.S. 31 and 100N, Peru.
Born Dec. 21, 1947, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Benjamin and Madeline Masters Fort. On May 19, 1979, in Mystic, Conn., he was married to Vanesse L. Taylor, who survives.
Mr. Fort was the owner of Kewanna News Agency and an independent agent for the Indianapolis Star.
A 1964 graduate of Indianapolis Arsenal Tech High School, he had served in the U.S. Navy for 23 years. He was leading Yeoman on submarines.
He was a member of Kewanna Church of Christ.
Also surviving are three sons, Shaun Taylor, San Pierre, Jaeson Fort and Mikel Fort, both at home; one brother, Dr. Kyle Fort, Lewisburg, Ky.; his father, Benjamin Fort, Carmel, and three grandchildren.
His mother preceded in death.
Pastor Cliff Gano will officiate at the services.
Friends may call one hour before to the services in the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation.

Virginia Lee Hay
Virginia Lee Hay, 77, of Fontana, Calif., formerly of Bunker Hill, died at 10 a.m., Thursday at her residence.
Arrangements are pending at McClain Funeral Home.
Michael John Hill
KOKOMO -- Memorial services for Michael John Hill, 44, of 3588S 350E, Kokomo, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Ellers Mortuary.
He died at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2000, in Howard Community Hospital.
Born Oct. 14, 1955, in Royal Oak, Mich., he was the son of Robert B. and Cecelia R. DelVecchio Hill.
A 1973 graduate of Haworth High School, Mr. Hill was employed for 20 years at Delphi-Delco Electronics as a journeyman welder machine repairer at plant 9.
He was a member of United Auto Workers, Local 292, and the World Karting Association.
Mr. Hill enjoyed music and was a national go-kart champion and NASCAR fan.
Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Cecelia T. and Emmerson Martin of Noblesville; his father, Robert B. Hill; two brothers and one sister-in-law, James R. Hill, Kokomo and R. Patrick and Candice Hill, Portage, Mich.; one sister, Judy A. Hunt, Cutler; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Michael Waitt will officiate at the services.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to the time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Frank M. Herald
WINAMAC -- Services for Frank M. Herald, 72, of 521 S. Riverside Drive, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Frain Mortuary.
He died at 12:03 a.m. Monday, March 20, 2000, in St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette.
Born Aug. 25, 1927, in Akron, Ohio, he was the son of Louis and Buna Carter Smith Herald. He was married on Sept. 17, 1955, in Pulaski, to Betty R. Boots, who survives.
Mr. Herald was a retired plumbing, heating and cooling technician for Davis Plumbing & Heating in Winamac. He was formerly a carpenter.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II.
A resident of Winamac for 42 years, he was a former Winamac Town Council member, serving from 1991 to 1995.
He was a member of the American Legion in Monticello and the Winamac Aero Modelers. He enjoyed making model airplanes, camping, fishing and the outdoors.
Also surviving are two daughters, Lori Fairchild and her husband, Dave, Elkhart, and Lisa Atsas, Hanna; six grandchildren, Heather Atsas, Melissa Atsas, Matthew Fischer, Katherine Fischer, Sarah Fischer and Christopher Fairchild; six stepgrandchildren, Aaron Fairchild, Dustin Fairchild, Nathan Fairchild, Caleb Fairchild, Moises Fairchild, and Eleanor Fairchild; two sisters, Billene Fry, Royal Center, and Linda Stilwell, Logansport; four brothers, Louis Herald, Glen Herald, Olive Branch, Miss., David Smith, Memphis, Tenn., and Jerry Smith, Winamac; three stepsisters, Florence Cotterman, Kokomo, Ruth Beckley, Logansport, and Agnes Small, Royal Center; two stepbrothers, Paul Smith, Winamac, Winamac, and Walter Smith Jr., Logansport; and several nieces and nephews.
One son, three sisters and one brother preceded in death.
The Rev. Jessica S. Young-Brust will officiate at the services.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Wednesday in the mortuary.

George R. ‘Bud’ Rouch
Services for George R. "Bud" Rouch, 74, of 7520S County Road 400W, Kewanna, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in McCloskey-Hamilton-Gundrum Funeral Home.
He died at 1:35 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2000, in his residence.
Born Nov. 27, 1925, in Fulton County, he was the son of Lawrence and Florence Dively Rouch. On Aug. 24, 1946, he was married in Richland Center to Betty L. Biddinger, who survives.
Mr. Rouch retired in 1996 as a livestock and grain farmer. He was a member of the Fulton Baptist Temple and the Rochester Elks Lodge No. 2120.
A 1943 graduate of Fulton High School, he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in the Pacific Theater from 1944 to 1946.
In 1984, Bud received the Sagamore of the Wabash award from Governor Robert Orr.
Also surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Gary VonDerheide, Peru, and Cindy and Dale Horn, Rochester; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Jill Rouch, Logansport; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Evelyn and Carl Kerby, South Bend, and Eloise and Lavon Fred, Rochester; one granddaughter, Cara Horn, Rochester; and three grandsons, Tucker Rouch, Logansport, and Tyler and Derek VonDerheide, both of Purdue University in West Lafayette.
One brother and one sister preceded in death.
Dr. David Price and Rev. Bruce Russell will officiate the services. Burial, with military rites, will be in Salem Cemetery, southwest of Fulton.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton Baptist Church and Hope Hospice of Fulton County, P.O. Box 621, Rochester 46975.
Raymond S. Lowery
ROCHESTER -- Graveside services for Raymond S. Lowery, 81, of 1080W 200N, Rochester, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
He died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday, March 19, 2000, in his residence, following a year of failing health.
Pastor Jill Wright will officiate the services.
Private family visitation will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton County Cancer Fund.
Foster & Good Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Charles H. Shouse
Graveside services for Charles H. Shouse, 73, of 922 E. Broadway, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Hope Cemetery.
He died at 8 a.m. Monday, March 20, 2000, in his residence.
