Goodwin B. Lubliner, 83, of 10107 W 100 N, Medaryville, IN, passed away at 12:00 AM Thursday, June 1, 2006 at Indiana Univ. Medical Center in Indianapolis, IN.

He was born June 8, 1922, in Chicago, IL, to Daniel and Sadie Meyer Lubliner.He was married was to Lorraine Teplitz. She died in 1971. He married Evelyn Midghall in Winamac. She survives.

He resided in Medaryville for the past 10 years. He formerly resided in the Chicago area.

He was a WWII Amry Air Corps veteran. He served with the 730 Bomb Sq., 452 Bomb Gr. in Europe, receiveing 6 Bronze Stars. He was a member of American Legion Post # 71, Winamac.

He was a retired mechanical engineer. He was retired from Verson All Steel Press Co., Chicago, IL. He worked there his entire career.

He enjoyed canoeing.

Graveside Services will be held at 3PM CDT Friday, June 2, 2006, in White Post Cemetery, Medaryville.

Burial will be in White Post Cemetery.

Military graveside services will be conducted.

Memorial contributions may be made to any Conservation organization.

Donna Irene Garringer Snyder

SPEEDWAY - Services for Donna Irene Garringer Snyder, 68, Indianapolis, formerly of Logansport, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center in Speedway.

She passed away Thursday, April 10, 2008.

She was a cashier for Wal-Mart, and was a member of the Red Hat Society.

Survivors include her husband John “Jack” Snyder; children, Yonda Snyder, Nancy and Garrett Sato, and John and Angie Snyder; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Judy Shake.

Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Betty Lou Brown Michaels

DELPHI - Services for Betty Lou Brown Michaels, 84, formerly of Lafayette, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Abbott Funeral Home, Delphi.

She died at 5:25 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2008, in her sister’s residence.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. until her funeral Tuesday in the funeral home.

Rev. Nord Zootman will officiate. Burial will be in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Elmo J. Everett

DELPHI - Services for Elmo J. Everett, 82, Delphi, will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Living Faith Church of the Brethren, Flora.

He died at 9:25 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2008, in his residence.

Rev. Jeff Tomson and Rev. Andy Glass will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora.

Friends may call Monday 3 to 8 p.m. in Abbott Funeral Home, Delphi.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana School for the Blind or Living Faith Church.

Emerson Eugene Whybrew

Services for Emerson Eugene Whybrew, 81, Logansport, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Gundrum Funeral Home.

He died at 7:17 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2008, in Chase Center.

Born June 1, 1926, in Fulton County, he was the son of Marion and Estey Mae Snyder Whybrew. He was married Nov. 14, 1981, in Logansport, to Caroline Bertha Moon, who survives.

A graduate of Fulton High School, Emerson was a lineman for the Logansport Municipal Utility Company.

He was a veteran who served in the Korean Conflict.

He was a 50-year member of IBEW, life member of the VFW Post 3790, where he also was a past commander and a president of the Veterans Council, and a member of the American Legion Post 60, Voyager 721 and Eagles 323.

Mr. Whybrew was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time at Bruce Lake and also spending time with all of his grandchildren.

Also surviving are children, William Whybrew and wife, Carol, Peru, Deborah Williams and husband, Bob, DeRuyter, N.Y., David L. See, Denver, Russell W. See and wife, Phyllis, Andover, Ill., Roberta J. Smith, Wabash, Ron See and wife, Marla, Peru, and Jackie S. Fultz, Logansport; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Marion Whybrew.

Pastor Edward Johnson will officiate. Burial, with full military graveside rites, will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today and one hour before services Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.

Loraine K. Geyer

FRANCESVILLE - Services for Loraine K. Geyer, 51, Francesville, will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Francesville.

She died at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2008, in Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare in Monticello.

Pastor Susan Jennys will officiate at the services. Private burial will be at a later date in the Roseland Cemetery, Francesville.

Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to John Purdue Club-Women’s basketball, Francesville United Methodist Church or the Our Lifetime Foundation.

Thomas A. Crowe

Services for Thomas A. Crowe, 76, of Logansport, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in All Saints Catholic Church.

He died Tuesday, April 11, 2006, in his residence.

Born July 26, 1929, in Cass County, he was the son of Manice J. and Agnes M. Plummer Crowe. He was married Nov. 26, 1955, in Logansport, to Mary Teresa O’Neill, who preceded in death Sept. 30, 1984.

Mr. Crowe retired in 1989 as an insurance manager at Farm Bureau Insurance.

A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a member of the American Legion Post 60. While in the military, Tom served from 1951 to 1952 at Camp Desert Rock, Nev., during “Tumbler Snapper” atom bomb service.

Tom was a former member of All Saints Catholic Church and was past president of the former St. Vincent de Paul Parish Council. Tom was a former member of the Logansport Elks and former member and past president of the Logansport Rotary Club, past president of The Underwriters Association, and former board member of The State Underwriters Association.

In 1975, he received the designation of Chartered Life Underwriter from the American College of Life Underwriters in Bryn Mawr, Pa.

Tom also was past chairman of the Salvation Army Board of Directors and a member of Literacy Volunteers of America.

Tom had been very active in the Logansport Civic Players, where he also served on the board of directors. A statement from Civic Players reads “Tom Crowe was a longtime supporter and participant with Civic Players of Logansport. A natural comedian, he was hilarious in the comedy “NOISESOFF!” then commanded the stage as “The Man who Came To Dinner.” Behind the scenes, he was ever present as a volunteer to do whatever needed attention but his finest achievement was directing the highly successful comedy, “The Nerd.” All participants and patrons of the arts will miss his talent and professionalism.”

Since 2000, Tom had been a volunteer researcher for the Cass County Historical Society’s monthly newsletter, the “Jerolaman Times.”

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Sarah E. and Gary Lee, Muncie; two sons, Brandon M. and Kim Crowe, West Lafayette, and Adam O. Crowe, Indianapolis; one sister, Delores Risher and her husband, Barth, Logansport; one sister-in-law, Virginia Crowe, Logansport; several nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Greg Oldford, Sarah Oldford and Paul Thomas Lee; great-grandchildren, Julianah Bagsby and Jasmine Bagsby.

Two brothers, Francis Crowe and James Crowe, preceded in death.

Father Christopher Weldon will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday in Kroeger Funeral Home, where there will be a Civic Players tribute at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Scriptural wake service at 7 p.m. conducted by Deacon Juan Rodriguez.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Logansport Civic Players, P.O. Box 31, Logansport IN 46947-0031 and to a favorite charity.

Guy Lawrence DeTurk

ROCHESTER - Services for Guy Lawrence DeTurk, 77, of Rochester, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Good Family Funeral Home.

He died at 9:20 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2006, in Life Care Center of Rochester.

Burial, with military graveside rites conducted by the LeRoy Shelton American Legion Post #36 and Veterans of Foreign Wars, will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and one hour before services Tuesday in the funeral home.

Gary W. Gray

MONTICELLO - Services for Gary W. Gray, 70, of Monticello, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Miller-Roscka Funeral Home.

He died at 11:40 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2006, in White County Memorial Hospital.

The Rev. Chris Dodson will officiate at the services. Burial will be in IOOF Riverview Cemetery, Monticello.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the White County Special Olympics in honor of his granddaughter, Heather M. Arvin.

Thelma Maxine Paige, 87, Logansport, passed away at 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2009, in Miller’s Merry Manor in Peru.

Sue Ann Miller

ROCHESTER - Services for Sue Ann Miller, 60, Rochester, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Good Family Funeral Home.

She passed away at 11:24 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2009, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in South Bend.

Pastor Terry Metheny will officiate at the services. Burial will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.

Gregory George ‘Gregg’ Bodnar

WINAMAC - Services for Gregory George “Gregg” Bodnar, 61, Winamac, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Winamac.

He died at 7:47 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2009, in Pulaski Memorial Hospital.

Fathers Martin Sandhage and Bert Woolson will officiate at the services.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Frain Mortuary, where a Scriptural wake service will be held at 6:30 p.m.

Risa D. Villars

Services for Risa D. Villars, 34, Logansport, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Gundrum Funeral Home.

She died at 11 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009, in her residence.

Born Oct. 15, 1974, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Bradley and Merry Luper Villars.

Risa was a former child care worker. She had also worked at McCords Lumber Company in Logansport and most recently at Kramer Lumber Company in Frankfort.

She was a member of Calvary Union Church. Risa enjoyed telling stories to children and spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Surviving are parents, Bradley and Merry Villars, Logansport; brothers, Quint Villars and wife, Brenda, Rossville, Scott Villars and wife, Nadine, Frankfort, Jason Villars and wife, Stephanie, Tipton, and Joshua Villars, Logansport; and several nieces and nephews.

Pastor Mike Stow will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
