MAY ALENE SHIDLER
May Alene Shidler, 89, of 317 East 13th Street Winamac, IN passed away at 11PM Thursday, January 4, 2007 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.
She was born May 6, 1917 in Winamac, IN to Chris and Irinda Farrar Linback. She married Thomas Shidler, Jr. on September 4, 1937 in Winamac, IN. Thomas passed away July 1, 1962
May attended the First Christian Church in Francesville, IN. She was the past-president of the VFW Auxillary #1728. She was a lifetime member of both the VFW National Home in Michigan and the FOE #2580 in Winamac,IN. She was formerly a home care assistant for many Winamac area residents. In 2005, May was recognized as an Oustanding Woman of Pulaski County.
May enjoyed quilting, gardening, and playing cards. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Burial will be in the Winamac Cemetery, Winamac, IN

VFW Auxillary Services will be held at 4PM CST at Frain Mortuary.
Eagles Services will be held at 4:15PM CST at Frain Mortuary.

ELLEN L. BRADY
Ellen L. Brady, 100, of 624 East 13th Street, Winamac, IN, passed away at 6:10 PM Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Pulaski Health Care Center in Winamac, IN.
She was born August 9, 1906, in Conover, WI, to Michael and Ulrika Dahl Lillund. She married Weldon S. Brady on August 14, 1929 in Waukegan, IL. He died January 11, 1993.
Ellen was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Winamac. She was a member of the L.W.M.L Ladies guild at St. Luke's. She was a charter member of Pulaski County Human Services in Winamac. She has resided in Winamac since 1985, coming her from Lake Placid, FL. She was a former resort owner and sales clerk. She enjoyed spending time traveling with her husband's band. Ellen loved her family.
Survivors include Several Nieces & Nephews.

Services will be held at 10 AM CST Monday, January 8, 2007, in St. Luke Lutheran Church, Winamac, with Pastor William Daniel O'Connor officiating.
Burial will take place in McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Winamac, IN.

VERLA G. BONNELL
Verla G. Bonnell, 88, of 806 South Market Street, Winamac, IN, passed away at 7:15 PM Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac, IN.
She was born April 4, 1918, in Grass Creek, IN, to Firman and Hazel Hiatt Haselby. She married Sherald L. (Shay) Bonnell on December 17, 1938 in Star City, IN. He died June 8, 1974.
Verla was a member of Star City United Methodist Church, and was a former treasurer of the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the OES 96 in Winamac and Rebekah Lodge. She served as treasurer of the Pulaski County Democratic Women for many years. Verla was former sales clerk at Miller's Department Store in Winamac and had worked as a secretary at the CFS Plant in Kewanna, IN. She also had worked as a seamtress for many years. Verla enjoyed sewing, baking and spending time with her family.

Memorials may be given to the Pulaski County Community Foundation Sherald and Verla Bonnell Family Education Fund or to the Foundation fund of donor's choice.
FRED D. JUNGELS
Fred D. Jungels, 76, of 2110 N 1175 W, Medaryville, IN, passed away at 1:10 PM Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Porter Valparaiso Hospital Campus in Valparaiso, IN.
He was born April 9, 1930, in Rensselaer, IN, to John and Goldie Fleming Jungels. He married Phyllis Joy Stepp on Oct. 1, 1949, in Rensselaer, IN. She survives.
He was a member of the Kniman United Methodist Church, Kniman, IN. He had been attending Teaberry Hill Estates Church, Medaryville, IN.
He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local #150 for over 45 years.
He farmed in Medaryville for over 40 years.
He enjoyed working in the garden and spending time with his family.

Friends may call 2-8PM CST Friday, January 5, 2007 at Querry-Ulbricht Funeral Home, Francesville, IN, and one hour before the services Saturday in the church.
JEROME J. CROELL
Jerome J. Croell, 58, of 2455 W 900 S, Star City, IN, passed away at 5:17 AM Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac, IN.
He was born January 6, 1948, in Gary, IN, to William and Helen Eich Croell.
He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pulaski, IN.
He was also a member of the Patriot Guard Riders, Gold Wing Riders Association, and the National Rifle Association.
He served in the US Air Force during Viet Nam.
He was an avid trike rider, hunter, fisherman, and an all around handyman.

Services will be held at 10AM CST Friday, January 5, 2007, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Pulaski, with Rev. Ronald Schiml officiating.
The Patriot Guard will participate in the funeral services.
Burial will be in the Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN.
Friends may call 4-8PM CST Thursday, January 4, 2007 at Frain Mortuary.
The Rosary will be recited at 6:30PM Thursday in the funeral home.

JAMES R. REED
James R. Reed, 82, of 8820 S 125 E, Winamac, IN, passed away at 10:00 AM Sunday, December 31, 2006 at his residence.
He was born August 2, 1924, in Elizabethtown, IL, to William and Myrtle Tinsley Reed.
He was a retired employee of Winamac Steel.
He was a member of the Winamac Eagle's Lodge #2580.
He was the former Vice-President of a coin club.
He lived in the Winamac area since 1940.
