Randy McCarty, 37, of 1645 N 1075 W, Medaryvile, IN, passed away at 8:58AM Thursday, April 16, 2009, in his residence.

He was born November 8, 1971, in Rensselaer, IN, to James and Joyce Patton McCarty.

He attended Pulaski Developmental Services in Winamac, IN, since 1993. He enjoyed going to the PDS workshop to be with the staff and co-workers there who were very good to him. He also loved to go to the local coffee shop in Winamac with Cara Berkshire and asking for "Tea, Please". He also enjoyed listening to his music and spending time with his family and friends.

Gregory "Gregg" George Bodnar, 61, of 40 W 700 N, Winamac, IN, passed away at 7:47 PM Tuesday, April 14, 2009 in Pulaski Memorial Hospital, Winamac, IN.

He was born December 30, 1947, in Gary, IN, to George and Rose Hybel Bodnar.

He married Thelma S. Lager on June 3, 1967, in St. Mary's Church, Griffith, IN. She surives.

He lived in the Winamac community since 1974, coming from Schererville, IN.

Gregg owned and operated Gregg Building Repairs for 40 years.

He was a general contractor. He specialized in custom sheet metal, specialty metals, welding and fabrication.

He and his wife formerly operated a photography business for 15 years.

Gregg enjoyed collecting tools. He also designed and rendered architectural sketches, and most recently enjoyed taking drawing classes with Don Kegarise.

He was a former member of the Eagle's Lodge and the Arens Field Pilot's Club.

He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Winamac, IN.

Mable B. Salrin, 96, of 4244 East 500 North, Wheatfield, IN, passed away at 12:38 PM Friday, April 10, 2009 at Alternacare at Jasper County Hospital in Rensselaer, IN.

She was born July 24, 1912, in Francesville, IN, to John and Augusta Reetz Smallfelt. Mable married William James Salrin on May 16, 1931 in Plymouth, IN. He died in December 22, 1972.

Mable was a member of the Medaryville United Methodist Church in Medaryville, IN.

Mable was a farm wife most of her life. She enjoyed gardening and raising chickens on the farm. She also enjoyed reading.

Mable enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She married John Jacobs on August 13, 1994, in Medaryville, IN. He survives.

She attened Gospel Lighthouse Church, Knox, IN.

She enjoyed walking, cleaning house, and helping people.

She was born December 20, 1918 in Star City, IN to Joseph and Nina Imler Doen. Annabelle married Emron Bonnell on August 1, 1936 in Monticello, IN. He died August 22, 1988.

Annabelle was a member of the Pulaski Presbyterian Church in Pulaski, IN. She had worked at the Tee-Pak Co. in Winamac and in the dietary department at Memorial Hospital in Logansport, IN.

She was a frequent volunteer at the Red Cross blood bank.

Annabelle enjoyed gardening, fishing and quilting.

Leona Pauline Shidler, 66, of 2768 East 550 South, Star City, IN, passed away at 12:50 PM Thursday, March 26, 2009 in her residence.

She was born November 26, 1942, in Winamac, IN, to Elmer and Lucy Beauchamp Peters.

Pauline was married to Thomas N. "Duke" Shidler on November 25, 1961 at Bruce Lake, IN. Duke died on February 13, 2005.

Pauline was a member of FOE 2580 in Winamac and the Order of Eastern Star in Winamac.

Pauline was a former bar tender at the Eagles hall in Winamac.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pauline enjoyed her dogs Belle and Duke. She liked raising flowers and sitting in her swing.
