MEDARYVILLE - A memorial service for Willis Jasper Pullins, 84, Alamogordo, N.M., formerly of Medaryville, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Medaryville United Methodist Church.
He passed away Thursday, April 3, 2008, in his residence in Alamogordo.
Pastor Susan Jennys will officiate. Burial, with military graveside services conducted by the American Legion, will be in Independence Cemetery, Medaryville.
Friends may call from noon until time of services Saturday at the church.

Jerry D. Maple
AKRON - Memorial services for Jerry D. Maple, 53, Akron, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Hartzler Funeral Home.
He died at 9:40 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2008, in Parkview Memorial Hospital in Fort Wayne.
The Rev. Karen Ottjes will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park in Marion, where a graveside service will take place at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Friends may call from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Wayne R. Berkshire
Services for Wayne R. Berkshire, 74, of Royal Center will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2009, at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Homes, Royal Center Chapel.
He died at 4:40 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born on Aug. 9, 1934, in Logansport, he was the son of the late Martin R. “Pig” and Margaret Ann (Conn) Berkshire. On Jan. 10, 1953, he married Vivian Y. Mills, who survives.
Wayne was a 1952 Royal Center High School graduate.
He was a member of Royal Center United Methodist Church. He enjoyed singing with Church Men United, he was an avid IU basketball fan and he enjoyed woodworking, fishing, gardening and hunting mushrooms and arrowheads.
Wayne formerly worked at RCA in Monticello and he retired from Small Parts, Logansport, in 2000. He was also a farmer.
Surviving include his wife, Vivian Y. Berkshire, of Royal Center; son, Kenneth W. Berkshire and wife, Mary, of Bloomfield; daughters, Rhonda L. Sinclair and husband, Robert, of Brownsburg and Tina M. Ervin and husband, Matthew, of Logansport; sister, Martha E. Buchs, of Flippin, Ark.; and grandchildren, Martin P. Berkshire and wife, Amy, of Fort Wayne, James W. Berkshire and wife, Kara, of Solsberry, and Yvonne M. Turner of Brownsburg.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Sandra K. Berkshire; brother, Joseph L. Berkshire; and sister, Barbara A. Bowles.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour before the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Pastor Kevin Drane will officiate, and burial will be in Royal Center Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Royal Center United Methodist Church.
Meredith E. Heaston
HUNTINGTON - Services for Meredith E. Heaston, 85, Huntington County, formerly of Rock Creek Township, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Trinity United Methodist Church.
He died at 7 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2007, in WoodBridge Health Campus, Logansport.
Born March 22, 1922, in Lancaster Township, Huntington County, he was the son of Mark David and Bertha Belle Ellis Heaston. He was married July 11, 1948, in Huntington, to Dorothy A. Boyer, who preceded in death Aug. 9, 2002.
Meredith lived in the McKinney House in Logansport for the past two years before moving to the WoodBridge Health Campus.
A 1939 graduate of Rock Creek High School, Mr. Heaston furthered his education by attending Huntington College for three years. He was a Rock Creek Township farmer retiring in 1985 and worked as a custodian at Huntington North High School for nine years.
Meredith was a veteran of the U.S. Army enlisting in 1942 and serving in England, Ireland and the European Theater.
He was a resident of Huntington County for all of his life until his recent move to Logansport.
Meredith was a member of the Majenica United Methodist Church, where he taught high school and adult Sunday school classes. After it closed, he transferred membership to Trinity United Methodist Church in Huntington.
Meredith also was a member of the American Legion Grover Sheets Post 111 of Bluffton.
Surviving are two daughters, Cheryl Beougher and her husband, Ken, Logansport, and Kathryn Heaston, Cicero; three grandchildren, Kristina Hogue and her husband, Jeff, Lafayette, Craig Beougher and his wife, Caryn, Fishers, and Karen Beougher and her special friend, Yudi Chattopadhyay, Crawfordsville; and two great-grandchildren, Taelynn Hogue and Jaedren Hogue.
The Rev. David Ballinger will officiate at the services. Burial, with military graveside rites conducted by the Huntington VFW Post 2689, will be in Star of Hope Cemetery, Huntington County.
Friends may call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in the church.

KOKOMO - Gary L. Martin, 53, Peru, died at 1:05 a.m. Monday, May 18, 2009, at Duke Memorial Hospital in Peru.
Arrangements are pending at Ellers Mortuary, Main Street Chapel.
Vale S. Harless
Services for Vale S. Harless, 81, Logansport, formerly of Indianapolis, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center Washington Park North.
He died Thursday, May 17, 2007, in Indianapolis.
Born Sept. 6, 1925, he was the son of Quincy and Louise Harless.
Mr. Harless was vice president and sales manager of J&L Realty, Indianapolis, and was a prominent member of the Metropolitan Board of Realtors. He served in the 86th Mountain Infantry, 10th Mountain Division of the U.S. Army during World War II, where he earned three Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Beverly, whom he married on May 20, 1970.
Also surviving are his daughter, Valerie (Roger) Wilson; three stepdaughters, Carol (Dan) Mechuta, Linda (Russell) Brown and Robyn (Alan) McCloskey; one stepson, Eric Williamson; 11 grandchildren, Gregory Wilson, Wendy Ward, Tammi Caldwell, Eva Elmore, Alissa McDivitt, Allison Robbins, Jason Pittman, Adam Mechuta, Stanley “Trey” Brozoska III, Grant McCloskey and Morgan McCloskey; one brother, Ronald Harless; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Three brothers, Sunset “Sunny” Harless, Joseph “Joe” Harless and Wilfred “Willie” Stewart, preceded in death.
Burial will be in Washington Park North Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of services Sunday at the funeral home.

Leah, Harrison and Sophia Wagoner
Leah Wagoner
Leah Wagoner, 40, Flora, passed away at her residence from injuries sustained in a fire Friday evening. She was born April 17, 1969 in Indianapolis and adopted by Kenneth and Erma Flora, who survive in Flora.
She was a 1987 graduate of Carroll High School and attended Anderson College before graduating from Indiana University at Kokomo with a degree in education. On July 16, 1994, she married Dr. Brian Wagoner in Flora and he survives in Flora.
She had been a teacher and was a homemaker who homeschooled her children.
Leah loved the Lord and was active at Faith Baptist Church in Lafayette. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends. She was an avid runner.
She is survived by one brother, John Flora (wife Katherine), Modesto, Calif.; her father and mother-in-law, Dr. Gordon and Shirley Wagoner; a nephew and niece; and a sister-in-law, Teresa Kiger (husband Kenton), Brookston.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Baptist Church in Lafayette with Pastor Steve Viars officiating. Visitation will be 1 to 8 p.m. Monday at Flora United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Flora. Memorial contributions may be made to either Faith Baptist Church, Flora United Methodist Church or Flora Volunteer Fire Department. Arrangements by Reinke Funeral Home, Flora.
Harrison Dean Wagoner
Harrison Dean Wagoner, 8, of Flora, passed away in a fire at his residence Friday night. He was born May 27, 2001, in Lafayette to Dr. Brian and Leah Wagoner. Harrison enjoyed being in Cub Scouts, basketball and soccer. He also enjoyed reading and loved the Lord.
Sophia Marie Wagoner
Sophia Marie Wagoner, 4, of Flora passed away in a fire at her residence Friday night. She was born August 5, 2004, in Lafayette to Dr. Brian and Leah Wagoner. Sophia enjoyed following her brother, Harrison, around and they both loved the Lord.
The services for the children are the same time as their mother.
