Mildred L. McVey
Mildred L. McVey, 63, Logansport, died unexpectedly at 5:13 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 29, 1945, in Carroll County, she was the daughter of Chester and Georgia Sterrett Hartman. On April 15, 1966, she was married to Wilbur E. McVey, who survives.
Mildred was a 1963 graduate of Camden High School.
A homemaker, she enjoyed spending time at home with her family. Mildred’s hobbies included sewing, crafts and gardening,
Surviving with her husband are her mother, Georgia Blickenstaff, Logansport; one son, Edward McVey, Kansas; three daughters, Melissa Venard and her husband, John, Kansas, Lillian McVey, Wyoming, and Marcia Swimm and her husband, James, Logansport; one sister, Carla Hartman, Benton, Tenn.; brother-in-law, Lowell McVey and his wife, Jean, Colorado; two stepbrothers; two stepsisters; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, one brother, and her stepfather, Eugene Blickenstaff.
There will be no services. Private intermenty will be in the Camden Cemetery, Carroll County.
Fisher Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association or the Riley Children's Hospital Foundation.
Debra Jo Hall
Services for Debra Jo Hall, 55, Logansport, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in The First Assembly of God Church.
She died at 5:35 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, in St. Vincent Carmel Hospital, Carmel.
Born July 29, 1953, in Rochester, she was the daughter of Garl L. Hopper and Edna Mae Chapin. She was married May 29, 2005, in Logansport, to Reginald “Reggie” O. Hall, who survives.
Debra was a homemaker and member of the First Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed yard sales, knitting and reading. She enjoyed collecting peanut butter for Haitian children and making care packages for serviceman.
Also surviving is a son, Mark Stine and fiancée, Nicole Nichols, Logansport; daughters, Rhythm Hartman and husband, Raymond, Logansport, Patience Cottrell and husband, Bobby, Logansport, Harmony Newman and husband, Anthony, Lafayette, and Cherish Stine, Logansport; mother, Edna Mae Bedford, Rochester; step-daughter, Jeannine Everett and husband, Servonzel, Chicago; step-son, Reggie Cogar and fiancée, Kristy, Bolingbrook, Ill.; brother-in-law, Cecil Collins, Orlando, Fla.; sister-in-laws, Haroleon Cross, Chicago, and Andrea Michelle Hall, Bolingbrook, Ill.; former husband, Lloyd Stine II, Logansport; five grandchildren; and seven step grandchildren.
One sister, Janet Sue Collins; one brother, Thomas Allen Hopper; and stepfather, Omer Bedford; and father, Garl L. Hopper, all preceded in death.
Pastor Andy Weil will officiate. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Rochester.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in the church.

David W. Yeater
WHITESTOWN - Services for David Wilbur Yeater, 60, Indianapolis, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Traders Point Christian Church, 6590 S. Indianapolis Road in Whitestown.
He died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, surrounded by loving family and friends.
Born Feb. 28, 1948, in Logansport, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Vera Largen Yeater. He was married Nov. 3, 1973, to Julie Williams, his wife of nearly 35 years.
David was a 1966 graduate of Logansport High School and a 1970 graduate of Manchester College. He worked for more than 20 years in accounting for the state of Indiana.
He was an active member of Traders Point Christian Church, volunteering in guest service ministry and any other area where he was needed.
David is survived by his wife, Julie Yeater; sisters, Marjorie Way (Carl), Rena Lou Woolever, Martha Cory (Norman), and Charlotte Bowen (Gary); and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Charles.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and one hour before services Monday at the church.

Glenda K. Banter
Services for Glenda K. Banter, 64, Walton, formerly of Georgetown, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Marocco Funeral Chapel.
She died at 11:45 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, at her residence.
Born June 15, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Von and Viola Webb Banter.
Glenda attended Sunrise Worship Center in Galveston. She was a member of the Logansport Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, and enjoyed crocheting, painting, decorating cakes, nature and reading her daily devotions. Glenda also loved spending time with her family and friends.
She formerly worked at Mr. Happy Burger East and was also a homemaker.
Survivors include daughters, Christina McHenry-Dunn and fiancé, Pablo Toledo, Kokomo, Loretta Vitello and husband, Chris, Logansport, and Karen Smith and husband, Virgil, Kokomo; sons, Fred Welsh, Logansport, and Bill Welsh, South Carolina; sisters, Nina Ralston, Walton, Juanita Reed and husband, George, Logansport, Mary Downing, Idaville, Peggy Jagger and husband, Bob, Deer Creek, and Norma Horton, Walton; brothers, Danny Banter and wife, Brenda, and Jeff Banter, all of Logansport; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Glenda is also survived by her beloved dog, G.G.
She was preceded in death by son, Larry Welsh, and brothers, Rickey and William Banter.
Pastor Jeff Tinney will officiate, and burial will be at Davis Cemetery in Burnettsville.

Beulah V. Berkshire
Services for Beulah V. Berkshire, 108, Burnettsville, will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Fisher Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Bono Cemetery, near Clinton.
She passed away at 2:12 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born June 8, 1900, in Crisman, Ill., she was the daughter of John and Catherine Maxwell Wilfong. Her first marriage was to Orval VanHuss, who preceded her in death in 1935. She was married to George McLeland, who preceded her in death in 1957. She was married to Fred Berkshire, who also preceded her in death.
A homemaker, Beulah attended the Center Presbyterian Church. She was the oldest member of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union. She enjoyed crocheting and reading the Bible. At the time of her death, it is believed she was the oldest resident in the state of Indiana.
Surviving are daughter, Mala Kauffman, Burnettsville; three stepsisters, Viola Wolvers and Bernice Wilfong, both of Oskaloosa, Iowa, and Esther Schwinn of Crane, Mo.; five grandchildren, David Kauffman and Russell Kauffman, both of Burnettsville, Rowena McMasters and her husband, Bill, Delphi, and Michael Kauffman and his wife, Susan, and Blaine Kauffman, all of Monticello; four great-grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother and one stepsister.
Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel.

AKRON - Graveside memorial services for Pamela L. Lowe, 49, Rochester, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
She died at 8:11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008, in the emergency room in Woodlawn Hospital.

Danny J. Johnson
Services for Danny J. Johnson, 34, Logansport, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at Marocco Funeral Chapel in Logansport.
Danny passed away at 4:35 a.m. Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, at Howard Regional Health System in Kokomo after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on Jan. 11, 1974, in Kokomo.
Danny was a 1993 Logansport High School graduate, a member of Faith and Family Baptist Church in Logansport, and he was an avid Green Bay Packer and NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed roller skating.
He was formerly employed at Indiana Pest Control in Kokomo.
Survivors include his parents, Joetta and Robert Wilson, Logansport; daughter, Devyn Johnson, Kokomo; sisters, Tina Martin and Katrina Hirschler and her husband, Robert, all of Logansport; maternal grandparents, Clarence and Alice Stanton, Logansport; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jake Johnson; brother, Robert Wilson III; and grandparents, Robert Sr. and Eula Wilson.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.
Dr. Robert Cosby will officiate and burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery.

He passed away at 8:56 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, in St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette.
Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora.
Steven R. Shull
Graveside services for Steven R. Shull, 49, Logansport, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Mount Hope Cemetery.
He died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008, at his residence.
Born Oct. 10, 1959, in Logansport, he was the son of Kenneth and Mary L. Felty Shull.
A 1978 graduate of Logansport High School, Steve was an avid sports fan. In earlier years he had coached girls softball.
Surviving are son, Steven R.G. Shull (Cheryll), Logansport; brothers, Kenneth “K.G.” Shull Jr. (Cheryl), Muncie, Rick Shull, Greenwood, and Keith Hillman (Sandy), Wyandotte, Mich.; sisters, Lois Hillman and Anita Mottley, both of Logansport; grandchildren, Isaac Goin, Savannah Shull, Ryley Shull and Madison Shull; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, Elijah Shull.
The Rev. Dr. Gregory Elkins will officiate.

Tommy Lee Corcoran Sr.
Services for Tommy Lee Corcoran Sr., 70, Logansport, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Gundrum Funeral Home.
He died at 12:10 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born June 6, 1938, in Logansport, he was the son of Carl and Virginia Parsons Corcoran. He was married Dec. 30, 1994, in Logansport, to Carol A. Bennett Crisman, who survives.
Tommy retired in 2000 from the Carpenters Union.
He attended Cross-Wind United Methodist Church and was a former modified midget racer for 40 years. He enjoyed building street rods as a hobby.
Also surviving are sons, Dennis Corcoran, Logansport, Ed Corcoran and wife, Ilona, Monticello, and Tommy Corcoran Jr., Logansport; mother, Virginia Corcoran, Logansport; sisters, Jerry Culp, Logansport, Rita Kochel and husband, John, Royal Center, and Betty Angle and husband, Don, Florida; stepson, Bryan Pownell, Bedford; stepdaughters, Debbie Campbell and husband, Brad, and Cheryl Howell and husband, Tim, all of Logansport; eight grandchildren, Brock Corcoran, Steven Corcoran, Karen Corcoran, Kyle Corcoran, Tommy Corcoran, Sheldon Corcoran, Katie Corcoran and Connor Corcoran; four stepgrandchildren, Zach Weatherwax, Brooke Campbell, Britteny Howell and Ciara Howell; one great-grandchild, Boston Corcoran; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Kali Ditto and Laci Leffert; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
