Wanda Fay Sears, 82, Indianapolis, passed away Monday, February 29, 2016. She was born in Indianapolis on October 26, 1933 to Henry H. and Violet Fox Smith. Wanda was employed by the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and worked as a caretaker at St. Patrick Catholic Church. She spent much of her free time as a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul and the St. Patrick Food Pantry. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Robert L. Sears; grandson, Steven Donald Christian; and her son-in-law, Steven Eugene Christian. She is survived by her children, Robert L. Sears II (Diane), William "Billy" Sears (Aliecia), Marsha Christian Dillon (Tom), Terri Lynne Miller (Brian); brother-in-law, Duane Mitchell; uncle, Wally Fox; 11 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 2, 2016 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. in Daniel F. O'Riley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Perley "Penny" Ann Bowling

Perley "Penny" Ann Bowling (Schoettle), 78, of Indianapolis, passed away March 18, 2016 in Indianapolis, surrounded by her family. She was born to Harold and Jeanette Schoettle on June 12, 1937 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the 2nd of 14 children. On December 27, 1958, she married Dr. Richard Bowling, with whom she had five children. Penny was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to so many, and a lifelong member of St. Mark Catholic Church. She was an avid sports fan; she loved cheering for the Colts and Pacers and for her children and grandchildren. She never missed an opportunity to spend time with her family. She especially enjoyed the large family gatherings during the holidays, and her get-away weekends with her sisters. Penny will be missed by her family and friends for her positive attitude and her caring spirit. She truly made our world a better place.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Frederick and Thomas Schoettle; and her sister, Marybeth Bowling. Survivors include her husband, Richard; children, Thomas Bowling (Susan), Philip Bowling (Maureen), Frederick Bowling (Donna), Paul Bowling (Ann Marie), and Theresa Rodriguez (David); siblings, Paul Schoettle, Michael (Jean) Schoettle, Helen Gilkey, Ned (Anne) Schoettle, Jim (Pam) Schoettle, Mark (Therese) Schoettle, Susie (Eddie) Thornburg, Jeff (Liz) Schoettle, Theresa Hull, David (Jane) Schoettle; grandchildren, Collin, Hillary, Delaney, Quinn, Donovan, Madison, Corbin, Cassidy, Dawson, Emma, Will, Anna and Joshua; as well as numerous cousins and other relatives.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 11:00a.m. in St. Mark Catholic Church. Visitation will be Monday from 2 p.m. until 8p.m., with the Rosary being said at 7 p.m. at Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, where morning prayers will be said on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. prior to Mass. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Church or School.

Gary E. McQuade, 69, Greenwood, passed away on March 15, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born December 8, 1946 to Elizabeth and Marion McQuade. He was a 1965 graduate of Scecina Memorial High School and served in the US Army in Frankfort, Germany during the Vietnam war. He married Theresa (Nolan) McQuade on July 31, 1971. Gary was employed by Detroit Diesel Allison in Security and retired from Delco Electronics in 1995 due to health problems. He coached baseball in Franklin Township Little League and enjoyed watching his children play sports. He enjoyed golfing in his retirement but most of all his grandchildren. Gary was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Thomas McQuade; and his sister, Patricia Eisele. He is survived by his wife, Theresa; sons, Timothy and Matthew; daughter, Melissa (Nicholas) Kirk; grandchildren, Mikel, Brooklyn, Bailey and Nolan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church. Friends are invited to gather at the church to greet family members on Saturday prior to Mass beginning at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Eleanor K. Reimer, 91, Indianapolis, passed away Monday, April 4, 2016. She was born in Indianapolis on September 28, 1924 to Harry and Louise Weilhammer Richardson. Eleanor was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School. She was the vice president of Hittle Machine & Tool where she worked for many years before retiring in 2006. Eleanor and her husband, Robert, were founding members of St. Barnabas Catholic Church. She was active on the boards of several organizations, including the Indianapolis Civic Theater, Indianapolis Propylaeum, Meals on Wheels, Ave Maria Guild and the Indianapolis Zoo Guild. She enjoyed sewing and was a season ticket holder for both the Indianapolis Colts and the Indiana Pacers. Eleanor was preceded in death by her brothers, Joe, Ed, Harry and Bobby. She is survived by her husband, Robert A. Reimer; daughters, Kathleen Shank of Indianapolis and Barbara Glanz (David) of Crystal Lake, IL; grandchildren, Jeff Glanz, Tony Glanz (Jill), both of Chicago, Tim Shank (Denise) of Greenwood, Doug Shank of Boston, MA, Molly Shank of Monterey, CA; great grandchildren, Olivia Glanz and Jackson Glanz, of Chicago, Max Shank and Emerson Shank, of Greenwood. Robert A. Davis

Robert A. Davis, 79, of Indianapolis passed away Friday, March 18, 2016. Born into the loving family of Clay and Claire Lucille Davis, Bob was an enthusiastic youngster, with numerous paper routes, hobbies and jobs.
His love of music (especially jazz) would eventually bring him to perform with nationally known recording artists like vocalist, Vaughn Monroe and legendary guitarist, Wes Montgomery.
Bob started three companies, loved the outdoors and enjoyed driving anywhere…especially in his beloved 1951 Chevrolet.
Bob is survived by his four children, Lisa Davis-English, Tina Davis, Candy Scrougham, and Brian Davis; step-children, Mark Clark, Tyla (Clark) Berger and Scott Clark (deceased); and by his wife of 23 years, Peggy Clark-Davis. Additionally, he leaves behind a larger family of loved ones including numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00am, April 2, 2016 at The Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2905 Carson Avenue, Indianapolis, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society.

Joyce Ann Johnson, 64, Tempe, AZ, beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2016. She was born August 7, 1951, in Beech Grove, Indiana, to Edmund and Rosemary (Graybiel) Daeger. She graduated from Chartrand High School, Indianapolis, IN, in 1969. She was married to Robert S. Johnson on July 16, 1983, for 32 years. She was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church, Mesa, AZ. She was preceded in death by her infant brother, Raymond Joseph; and her parents. Joyce is survived by her loving husband, Bob; her brothers, Joseph (Jerrie) Daeger and Robert Daeger; her sister, Janice (Garry) Daeger Courtney; and 19 nieces and nephews who all loved and adored her. Joyce’s greatest joy was her family. She loved music, dancing, photography, playing cards, playing bingo, doing craft projects, and putting together jigsaw puzzles. She will be sorely missed by all who loved her. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 pm with a rosary at 7:30 pm on Friday, March 4, 2016, at Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, Indianapolis, IN. Prayer Services will be Saturday, March 5, 2016, at 10:30 am at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Mark Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Pietro Ferri, 87, Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016. He was born in Rome, Italy on March 5, 1929 to Tommaso and Palmira Barletta Ferri. Mr. Ferri worked for Wm. H. Block Department Store as a salesman in the men's clothing department for over 25 years before retiring. In 1969 he cofounded the Junior Soccer League of Indianapolis and was active in the Lion's Club of Indianapolis. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and the Italian Heritage Society of Indiana. Mr. Ferri was preceded in death by his wife, Silvana Ferri. He is survived by his children, Thomas Ferri (Lisa) and Laura Huckaby (Eric); brother, Franco Ferri; grandchildren, Jacqueline Ferri, Nicholas Ferri, Gina Huckaby. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 10 a.m. in St. Jude Catholic Church. Visitation will be Friday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. in Daniel F. O'Riley Funeral Home where morning prayers will be said on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. prior to Mass. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Edward William Arszman, 98, passed away Friday, April 8, 2016. He was the owner of Arszman's Market at 3006 Mooresville Road in Indianapolis. Edward started in partnership with his brother Henry in 1949 at the corner of Minnesota and East Streets. From there they moved to a new location on Farnsworth Street in Mars Hill. Edward expanded the partnership to include the Mooresville Road location in 1964, and he continued operation at this location until his retirement in 1985. Ed and his wife, Mary, moved to Tampa, FL where they lived for almost 15 years before Mary's death. Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Magdalen Gottemoeller Arszman; and his son, Edward Arszman Jr. He leaves behind his daughters, Mary Harris, Angela Rabensteine, Beth Walton, Magdalene Arszman; as well as 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 12 noon with visitation at the church beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
