Joan P. (Rode) McKinley
Joan P. (Rode) McKinley, 66, passed away July 13, 2017. She was born December 1, 1950, in Beech Grove, to the late Walter and Irene Rode, the 4th of 8 children. She married Maynard McKinley on November 16th, 1974, and they raised one son, Michael.
She lived her life serving others through her work at St. Jude Catholic Church, where her official title was ‘liturgy coordinator’, but all who knew her, knew she served far beyond a job title and was the ‘super glue’ of the parish. She coordinated all weddings, funerals, baptisms, church liturgies, and ensured God’s house was beautifully decorated for every occasion, in addition to her endless ‘administrative responsibilities at the parish center, all the while offering a hug or word of encouragement to those around her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maynard; her son, Michael; her stepson Jeff; her parents, and brother, John.
She is survived by her daughter, -in-law Michele McKinley; her grandchildren, James, Hayden and Madyson; and her siblings, Jim (Margie) of Whiteland IN, Joe (Mary Rose) of Mooresville IN, Jerry (Debbie) of Brazil IN, Jeff of Powell WY, Joyce (Bob) Lewis and Jayne (David) Chambliss, of Indianapolis, IN.
Viewing will be Wednesday, July 19, 2017, 3-8 pm at St. Jude Catholic Church, 5353 McFarland Rd, Indianapolis. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Thursday, July 20, 2017, with additional visitation from 10 am. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Catholic Church. Final care and arrangements are entrusted to the Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home.
Edward Thomas "Tom" Cullom
Edward Thomas “Tom” Cullom, Jr., 84, Indianapolis, former long time resident of New Orleans, Louisiana and St. Louis, Missouri, passed away June 15, 2017. Mr. Cullom was born in Alexandria, Louisiana on August 5, 1932, to the late Edward Thomas and Dorothy (Randolph) Cullom.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and graduated from Tulane University. He was employed by Metropolitan Life Insurance Company for many years and retired as a Regional Sales Director. He was an avid international traveler and also loved dogs. He was always loyal to the NFL teams related to the cities in which he lived - the Saints, Rams, and more recently the Colts. Above all, Tom was strongly devoted to his family and was a proud grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Randolph Cullom and sister, Dorothy Gilligan.
Survivors include his wife, of 56 years, Miriam (Hartz) “Mimi Cullom; a son, Dr. Edward T. Cullom, III (Mary Beth) of Mississippi and a daughter, Kimberly A. Cullom-Curran (Mike) of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Edward Thomas Cullom, IV, Connor Cullom, and Alexandria Cullom.
Private services will be observed. Funeral and cremation arrangements are entrusted to the Daniel F. O'Riley Funeral Home, Indianapolis.
Michael D. Williams
Michael D. Williams, 59, Indianapolis, passed away August 7, 2017, in St. Francis Hospital, Indianapolis. Mike was born September 6, 1957, in Indianapolis, to the late Guy R. and W. Joan (Ping) Williams.
He worked as a self-employed painter through the years. Mike was an avid Colts, Indiana University, and Notre Dame fan. He will be fondly remembered by his loving family.
Survivors include his sisters, Virginia Altman, Melody Kuhn, and Sheryl Jern; one brother, Guy R. Williams; a host of nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will not be observed. A private burial will take place on Friday in New Crown Cemetery. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, August, 26, 2017 from 11- 1 P.M. in the Rosedale Hills Methodist Church Fellowship Center. The Daniel F. O'Riley Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Anna Wohlhieter
Anna (Neraston) Wohlhieter, 95, of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Franciscan Hospice House in Indianapolis. Born November 9, 1921 in Indianapolis, Anna was the daughter of the late George and Anna (Chobon) Neraston. On October 14, 1950 she was united in marriage to Joseph P. Wohlhieter.
Anna was a graduate of George Washington High School and worked as an office clerk at Penn Central/Conrail for 20 years. As a founding member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church in Indianapolis, Anna was active in the ladies club at the church. She was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus #3660. Anna enjoyed playing golf, cards and horseshoes, going to casinos, horse tracks, and bowling. Most importantly, she was a loving wife and mother of four, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Joseph P. Wohlhieter of Indianapolis; four children, Patti (Dennis) Stephenson of Indianapolis, Joseph P. (Shelli) Wolhhieter Jr. of Indianapolis, Lisa (John) Wohlhieter-Hobbs of Boca Raton, Florida, and Susan (Jeff) Moore of Brownsburg; 13 grandchildren, Ryan (Amanda) Stephenson, Adam Stephenson, Ashley (Joe) Ripperger, Kyle (Andrea) Stephenson, Britney Stephenson, Brad (Megan) Stephenson, Joseph P. Wohlhieter, III, Heather (Brian) Haaland, Holly (Dan Hornbrook) Wohlhieter, Hope (Brent) Beanblossom, William Wohlhieter-Hobbs, Alexa Moore, and Aiden Moore; and 14 great grandchildren, Dominic, Gianna, Callie, Emmy, Amaya, Ava, Josie, Jeremiah, Ranger, Brooks, Malachi, O’Rhian, Dakota, and Zoey.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Anna Wohlhieter from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at St. Barnabas Catholic Church. Richard A. "Rick" Carr
Richard A. “Rick” Carr, 52, of Indianapolis, passed away at his home on Friday, June 9, 2017. Born April 2, 1965, Rick was the son of Richard Carr and Joyce M. (Soltis) Carr; his father preceded him in death.
Rick was a 1983 graduate of Perry Meridian High School and later graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in logistics management. He spent many years working in restaurants and equipment sales. Rick enjoyed spending his time helping others and volunteering with Mindy for animal - related causes.
Survivors include his loving fiancée, Mindy Greene; his mother and step father, Tom and Joyce Wamsley of Indianapolis; three sisters: Suzan M. (John) Steadham of Indianapolis, Diane E. (Brian) Carr-Jones of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Joanne E. (Kelly) Graham of Indianapolis; three brothers: William R. (Sharon) Carr of Fishers, Joseph A. (Jennifer) Carr of Fishers, and Ronald D. (Melanie) Carr of Indianapolis; his second parents, Don and Toni Stuhldreher; the entire Stuhldreher-Greene clan; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, countless friends; and his six fur babies, Alex, Carly, Shelbi, Gary, Myles, and Sophie.

Andrew Khyang
Andrew Khyang, 5, of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 near his home in Indianapolis. Little Andrew was born October 20, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. His parents are Francis Zay Yar Aung and Justina Tin Tin.
Quick and eager to learn, Andrew was an extremely intelligent child; he attended Cornerstone Autism Center. Andrew loved to communicate with sign language. He loved ducks, water, and playing on the playground. Andrew especially enjoyed swinging on the swings. His favorite colors were red and blue, and he loved eating apples. He was a quiet and kind little guy. Andrew’s memory will be forever cherished in the hearts of his parents, brothers, extended family, and countless friends.
Survivors include his parents, Francis and Justina; and two brothers, Phillip Van Lian Thang and Justin Cung Sinn Lian both of Indianapolis.

Michael A. Pinna
Michael A. Pinna, 75, Indianapolis, passed away peacefully at home September 13, 2017. Mr. Pinna was born November 8, 1941, in Chicago, to the late Michael B. and Lillian (Rosell) Pinna.
He graduated from Cathedral High School in 1960 and was a member of St. Roch Catholic Church. A longtime furniture salesman, he also owned Colonial Funiture, Mike’s Furniture Center, and New Discount Furniture, retiring in 2008. Mike’s greatest accomplishment was his close knit family who were the constant benefactors of his kindness and love.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Jessica Pinna.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Susie (Schmoll) Pinna; children, Brandon Michael (Nancy) Pinna, Shelly (Chris) Winter, Jim (Angie) Pinna, Stephanie (David) Marshall, Liz (Dean) Beer; sister, Marie (the late Tom) Radkevich and her children, Yuri and Ashley; 17 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will gather on Sunday, September 17, 2017, 4 to 8 p.m., in the Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. Lillian Mary Johnson
Lillian Mary Johnson, infant daughter of Wesley J. and Angela M. (Brett) Johnson, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. Lillian was born one hour before she was called to her heavenly home.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, William J. Johnson. Survivors include her loving parents, Wesley and Angie of Indianapolis; two sisters, Ella Grace and Lucille Rose Johnson both of Indianapolis; her maternal grandparents, Diane (Charlie) Button of Kentucky, and John (Janice) Brett of Kentucky; and her paternal grandmother, Lorraine Kay Johnson of Mooresville, Indiana.
