Mr. Mason served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He was retired from Pennsylvania Railroad where he had worked as an engineer. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #1107, the American Legion Post 418, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Bunke Hill Post. Surviving are three daughters, Nita Mason, Marsha Hamm and Carol Klinker; one brother, Larry Mason; four sisters, Charlotte Alexander, Pauline Hartka, Bernice Aronson, Ethel Mae Schierling; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Christena C. Kaufman

Services will be held at: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001 in Fisher Funeral Chapel with Rev. Eugene Kaufman Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Walton I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Visitation times are: 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday
Mrs. Kaufman was a homemaker who had worked for 12 years at the Hildebrant Corporation. She was a member of the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries. She enjoyed helping people and being with her grandchildren. Her husband, Ned Richard Kaufman, preceded in death in 1987. She is survived by two sons, Eugene O. and Richard Ned Kaufman; two brothers, Robert and Orville "Butch" Weisenburger; two sisters, Lula Weisenburger and Leland Thompson; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-granchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ned Richard Kaufman; her parents, Mathias and Zella Good Weisenburger; two brothers and two sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children, Chicago Unit.

She was married to Albert Leone Cotner, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Ronald Cotner; one daughter, Donna Everett, two brothers, Walter and Calvin Boyd; thre grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Ruth L. Shoop

She was married to Henry C. Shoop, who preceded in death. She is survived by her nephew, Jack Becker; and three nieces, Kate Roe, Nancy Meyer, and Jacki Stutzman.
Rosemary Dutchess Butz

Born in Walton, she was the daughter of Owen A. and Mae (Toney) Dutchess. On June 3, 1944, she was married in Elkhart, Indiana to Raymond E. Butz who died July 16, 1999. She had been in failing health for several years. Survivors include her children, Tim Butz and Sharon Hensley of Indianapolis, Carla & Mark Barker of Walton, and Dee and Kelly Butz also of Walton; one brother, Robert Dutchess of West Lafayette; her grandchildren, Angela (Barker)and Roger Jackson of Elwood, and Jessica (Barker) and Rob Grisez of Logansport; four great-grandchildren, Hayley, Ethan & Lucas Jackson of Elwood, and Bailey Grisez of Logansport. Preceding in death were four brothers, one sister and a great-grandson. Rosemary loved her family, her church family and her community. She willingly shared the fact that she was born the same year the Carnegie Library in Walton was erected. Until recently, she was an active member of the Walton United Methodist Church, having served in various leadership capacities over the years. Her passion was communicating through greeting cards and phone calls. Her genuine interest in others was obvious to all who knew her. Rosemary took pride in her doll collection that included over 500 dolls of every description and enjoyed telling visitors about them when given the opportunity. Her hobbies included egg crafts and hand-painted stationery. She also enjoyed reading and watching TV game shows. She was known for her sense of humor and ready laughter. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Walton United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Saunders died at 2:43 p.m. Friday in Logansport Memorial Hospital Born Feb. 8, 1949, in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of William and Fredda Knudsen McInerner. She was married July 15, 1973, in Logansport, to Steven P. Saunders, who survives. For 31 years, she worked as a press operator in set-up at Federal Mogul. She enjoyed cooking, making noodles and fishing. She enjoyed being with family and friends, making people happy and helping others. Also surviving are two sons, Brian S. Saunders and Douglas M. Coppock; one daughter, Candy L. Little; Two grandsons, Brandon D. Coppock and Aaron S. Little; her father-in-law, Phillip Saunders; her twin sister, Connie Singer; her sister, Hazel McFadden; one sister-in-law; Susan J. Hammond; and several nieces and nephews including Stephanie Humerickhouse, Michelle Clem, Phillip Hammond, Jake Hammond and Shelby Knoelein. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Memorial Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
Lucile F. Aldridge

Mrs. Aldridge died at 1:10 a.m. Friday in Miller's Merry Manor, Logansport. Born in Spencer, Indiana, she was the daughter of John and Franklin Gray Foster. She was married to Relle T. Aldridge, who preceded in death April 17, 1986. Mrs. Aldridge received a bachelor's degree in home economics from Indiana University and taught home economics for five years in Waynetown and Spencer. She was a member of the Switz City Christian Church and the Indiana University Alumni. She also belonged to the Social Sorority Zeta Tau Alpha and the Home Economics Sorority Omicron Nu. Surviving are one son, Lee E. Aldridge of Royal Center, Ind.; one daughter, Nancy A. Peterson of Charlotte, N.C.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association or the Switz City Christian Church. Local arrangements are by Fisher Funeral Chapel.
