Born in Frankfort, Indiana, he was the son of Paul and Thelma Stoops Wright. He was married November 25, 1972, in Monticello, to Betty Heiland, who survives. Larry was a member of the American Rifle Association, the Izaak Walton League and the Indiana Sheriff's Association. He was retired from the Tall Timbers Marina in Monticello. Surviving with his wife are one son, Lee Wright; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara & Mike Corwin; Three step-sons, Eddie Beck, Kim Beck & wife Lori, and Donnie Beck & wife Teresa; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Laura B. Boatman

Mrs. Boatman died in St. Clair Hospital, Morris Plains, New Jersey. Formerly of Logansport, she had resided in New Jersey near her sons since 1997. Born in Logansport, she was the daughter of John F. and Mary B. Smith Nickels. On August 11, 1940, in Daytona Beach, Florida, she was married to Alfred L. Boatman. He preceded in death July 15, 1996. She was a 1933 graduate of Logansport High School and a graduate of Indiana Business College. A member of the Wheatland Ave. U.M. Church, she was retired as church secretary. She had also worked at the former Myers Greenhouse and Warner's Greenhouse as a floral designer. Surviving are two sons, Dr. John A. Boatman and David E. Boatman; two grandsons, Dirk Boatman and Eric Boatman; and one great-grandson, Cody Boatman. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodlawn Center.
Sue Ann Sturdivant

Born in Cass County, she was the daughter of Harry Bertis and Mable See Crim. She was employed with Delco Electronics where she had worked as a Fab operator. Sue Ann was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she served as a stake missionary. On Dec. 18, 1965, in Cass County, she was married to James A. Sturdivant, who survives. Also surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, James A. Jr. and Melissa Sturdivant; two daughters and one son-in-law, Jo Ellen Sturdivant, and Kathleen Michelle & Mark Krueger, Jr.; one brother, William Crim; and three grandchildren, Brianna Benson, Mark Krueger III, and Savannah Paige Sturdivant. Bishop Bill Tincher will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
Kureyona Kay McDonald

Kureyona was born at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, in Logansport Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of Kristina McDonald and Brian Maloy. Surviving are two brothers, Kody and Myles McDonald; her maternal grandparents, Susan and Brian Michael; as well as several extended family members. The Rev. Dr. Gregory Elkins will officiate at the services.
Gertrude Myers

Born in Ripley, she was the daughter of Millard F. and Helena Porn Shepard. On Sept. 12, 1938, in Logansport, she was married to Robert H. Myers, who preceded in death. She and her husband owned and operated Myers Greenhouse from 1944 to 1980 when they retired. Gertrude was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 3790, Ladies Auxiliary of Moose Lodge 232 and Ladies Auxiliary of the Eagles Lodge 323. She was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church where she was active in the Ladies Society. She was a 57-year member of the Daughters of Isabella, where she was recording secretary for 20 years. She was NCCW parish chairman since 1961. She was also a member of the Altar Rose Society. Gertrude's specialty was making quilts for the poor and babies at the St. Elizabeth Home in Indianapolis. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Sue Myers; one daughter and son-in-law, Helen L. and Robert Briggs; three granddaughters, Kathy Snyder, Kim Miles and Heidi Smith; two grandsons, Rick Briggs and Tim Briggs; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. One grandson, three brothers and one sister preceded in death.
Gerald Lindley

Mr. Lindley died at 2:00 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3rd in South Bay Hospital, Sun City, Florida. Born in Logansport, he was the son of Clarence E. and Oddis Carrie Pritchett Lindley. He was married to Hazel Farrer Walters Lindley, who survives. Formerly of Rochester, he had resided in Ruskin for many years. He was retired from Rockwell/Matthew-Warren, where he had worked as the personnel director. He was the former owner of Lindley Bait and Tackle Shop at Lake Manitou in Rochester, Indiana. He was a member of the Lake Manitou Homeowners Association. He had been one of the founding board members of the Four County Mental Health Association and also a member of the State Mental Health Association. He was a member and past Worshipful Master of the Tipton Lodge No. 33 Free & Accepted Masons in Logansport. He was also a member of the Logansport Shrine Club and the Elks Lodge No. 66. He was one of the first three people to start a summer work program for college students in this area. He was recognized in Business Week magazine for this accomplishment. Gerald had been a member of the Logansport School Board, the Logansport Cass County Library board and the Community Concert Board, all during the 1940's and 1950's. He had been a member of the Logansport Personnel Directors Association. A former member of the Wheatland Avenue United Methodist Church, he served as organist and youth fellowship sponsor for a number of years. He was active in the Republican party from the 1930's through the 1960's locally. He served as a 4H leader from 1951 to 1957 and was the accountant for the 4H Fair livestock auctions during that time. Surviving with his wife are three daughters, Susan Lindley, Jane Ann Lindley and Nancy M. McDermott; one step-daughter, Sally Hall; one step-son, Joseph Walters; five grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Devon Lindley; and two sisters, Gertrude M. Gray and Ruth Keedy. The Rev. Jim Farrer will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Clare Miller

Born in Jefferson Twp., Cass Co., Indiana, she was the daughter of Richard D. and Ethel Kinney Miller. She was retired from Logan Machine. Formerly of 215 West Miami Ave., she was a graduate of Logansport High School and a lifelong resident of Logansport. Most recently, she resided at Chase Center where she was cared for by special friends Bill and Margaret Leffel and Carl and Delores Hodson. Also surviving are two nieces and their husbands, Doris and Dick Underwood, and Thelma and Duane Gross. One brother, Richard R. Miller, preceded in death.
Grace I. Berry

Born in Cass County, she was the daughter of John and Daisy Fisher Barr. On November 27, 1924, she was married to George A. Berry, who preceded in death Nov. 27, 1972. A homemaker and farm wife, she was a member of the former Crooked Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Jon and Nancy Berry, and Wayne and Lois Berry; one daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Howard Goodrich; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Jane Wallis; four brothers and two sisters. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
