She died at 10:20 p.m. Tuesday in St. Vincent Hospital in Carmel. Born in Onward, she was the daughter of Virgil E. and Mattie DeLee Vore. On July 10, 1948, in Logansport, she was married to Cecil Malott, Jr., who survives. A homemaker, Mrs. Malott had worked at McDonald's Restaurant. Surviving are two sons, Gary Malott and Kenneth Malott; two daughters, Patty Summers and Diane Abney; one brother, Donald Vore; two sisters, Elsie Landis and Lois Sparks; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter, two brothers and three sisters. He died unexpectedly in Memorial Medical Center, Port Lavaca, Texas while traveling. Born in Cass County, he was the son of James Dewey and Dorothy Peacock Grandstaff. He was married July 1, 1943, to Lucille Jean Malott, who survives. A veteran of WWII, he served in the U.S. Army. He was retired from North America Rockwell where he had been a factory foreman. He was a member of the American Legion Post 60 and enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, hunting and mushrooming. Also surviving are two daugthers, Linda L. Crimmins and Pamela Miller; one son, Terry Grandstaff, eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Peggy, and one brother, Wayne Earl Grandstaff.

She died at 10:22 p.m. Jan. 11, 2002, in Bloomington Hospital. Born in Logansport, she was the daughter of Melvin A. and Kathleen Koppe Boyer. On Nov. 13, 1948, in Logansport, she was married to William C. Kerber. He preceded in death Nov. 30, 1985. She was retired from Modine Manufacturing. Barbara enjoyed caring for her pet dog. Watching basketball was also one of her favorite pasttimes. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Bill & Chris Kerber; two daughters, Kathy Kerber and Kris Kerber; one son-in-law, Bob Truan; and one grandson, Nicholas Truan. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Nancy L. Kerber and Susan Truan; three brothers and one sister. Edgar died at 9:10 a.m. Sunday, January 27, 2002, in Chase Center. Born in Logansport, he was the son of Asa E. and Bessie M. Thomas Grant. His first marriage was to Gertrude Brandt on October 4, 1936, in Walton. She preceded in death June 13, 1971. He was then married in June of 1972, to Margaret Skillen, who survives. A member of the Tipton Lodge #33 F & AM, he was also a member of the Indianapolis Valley of Scottish Rite. Surviving with his wife are two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ellen and Fred Turner, and Rosalee and Malcolm Wolf; one sister, Ellen Frantz; seven grandchildren, Julie Proffitt & her husband Jere, Donovan Wolf and his wife Dina, Anne Wolf, Bryan Wolf and his wife Susan, Barton Turner, Angela Turner and Michael Grant; six great-grandchildren, Constance Ashcroft, Ashley Brooks, Benjamin Wolf, Trevor Turner, Jessica Wolf and Noah Turner; four step-grandchildren and their spouses, Bonnie & John Easter, Rick & Sandy Anderson, Jim & Bev Anderson and Terry & Nancy Anderson. He was preceded in death by one son, William E. Grant; one brother, Herbert Eugene Grant; and one step-son, William Anderson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Anoka United Methodist Church.
Mary Alice Moss

Mary Alice was an alumni of Royal Center High School. She retired from Brian's in Monticello, where she had worked 5 1/2 years. She attended Bethel Temple. She enjoyed socializing with family and friends at Shooter's. Surviving are her husband, Roy M. Moss; several children; stepchildren; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Rev. Raymond Skelton

He died at 6:25 p.m. in Zionsville Meadows. Born in Reelsville, Indiana, he was the son of Lemuel O. and Bessie Young Skelton. On August 1, 1931, in New Winchester, he was married to Dora Pauline Pitts, who preceded in death. Rev. Skelton was ordained by the Indiana Baptist Convention in 1935. He had served in many area churches, retiring from active service in 1970. He was moderator of four different associations in the Indiana Baptist Convention. He served on the School Board in Greencastle, Indiana for four years. Although retired, he continued to serve as minister at area churches when called upon to preach. He had been on the staff of the Indiana Baptist Youth Camp at North Webster, Indiana, serving 3 years as director. He had been Chaplain for the Indiana State Penal Farm. He served as Cass County Probation Officer from 1959 to 1968. He was active in 4-H and Scouting and the promotion of Mental Health care. He received the Exchange Club's "Book of Golden Deeds" in 1986. He was a member of the Orient Lodge No. 272 F & AM and the Fidelity Chapter No. 58 Order of Eastern Star. Rev. Skelton was a member of the First Baptist Church in Indianapolis. Surviving are three sons, Harold Pitts, David Skelton and Stephen Skelton; one daughter, Madonna Snyder-So; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Zionsville Meadows or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.

She died at 4:15 a.m. Thursday n Life Care Center of Rochester. She was born in Carroll County. She married Lyman Legg, who died in 1966. Mrs. Legg was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist. Surviving are two grandsons, Michael D. Busch, and Steven L. Busch & his wife Tammy; one great-grandson, Joshua D. Busch; one great-granddaughter, Elisabeth Jane Busch; and one daughter-in-law, Eileen Busch Sommers. One son, David L. Busch, preceded in death.
