He died at 12:35 a.m. in St. Vincent's Hospital, Indianapolis. Born in Logansport, he was the son of Leone and Isabelle Yeager Cotner. On March 14, 1943, in Kimball, Nebraska, he was married to Elva B. Boyd Cotner, who died Jan. 28, 2001. Mr. Cotner was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during WWII. In 1987, he retired from the Indiana Convention Center/RCA Dome where he worked as security director. He was a member of the Plant City United Methodist Church in Plant City, Florida. Surviving are one son, Ronald Cotner; one daughter, Donna Everett; one sister, Francis Smith; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Isabelle Selvio. Burial, with full military rites, will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora. The Rev. Scott Ellison will officiate at the services.
Merl L. Acton

He died at 12:45 p.m. Jan. 23, 2002, in Logansport Memorial Hospital. Born in Eaton, Ohio, he was the son of Harley and Golda Meek Acton. On Feb. 14, 1937, in Logansport, he married Genevieve Woods, who survives. A carpenter, Merl was a member of the Miami Baptist Church. He was a member of the Tipton Masonic Lodge No. 33 and the Fidelity Chapter No. 58 Order of Eastern Star. Also surviving are two sons, Gary and Kent Acton; four grandsons, Abram Acton, Morgan Acton, Kevin Strnatka and Derrick Acton; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Jackson; one half-sister, Margaret Schaeffer; and four great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Miami Baptist Church Building Fund.
Herschel P. Page

He died at 9:50 a.m. Monday in Life Care Center of Rochester. Born in Sullivan County, he was the son of Jessie and Teressa Wells Page. He was retired from Logan Machine. He was a member of the Logansport Eagles Aerie 323 and the VFW Father's Auxiliary. Surviving are two sons, Norman Page and Harold Page; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers. The Rev. William "Art" Maloney will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Indian Prairie Cemetery, New Carlisle.
Arvista D. Letellier

She died at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in Flossmoor, Illinois. Born in Ohio, she was the daughter of Charles and Elsie Gonser Parrish. In 1929, in Chicago, she married Edward F. Letellier, who died Oct. 25, 1989. A homemaker, Arvesta was a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church and a charter member of Psi Delta Sigma, where she served as president 1924-1925. Surviving are one son, Ronald Edward Letellier; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The Rev. Mark Berg will officiate at the services.
Robert C. Burns

He died at 2:00 a.m. 2/20/2002 in Miller's Merry Manor. Born in Cass County, he was the son of Rex J. and Mary A. Yocum Burns. On June 6, 1941, in Burlington, he was married to Opal F. Vorhees, who preceded in death Feb. 1, 1993. A retired farmer, he had also worked as a truck driver. Surviving are three sons, Richard J. Burns, Jerry D. Burns and Terry L. Burns; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pisgah Church Music Department and the Hospice Care. Burial will be in Pisgah Cemetery, Logansport.
Diana L. Beck Gardner

Born in Logansport, she was the daughter of Joseph Jr. and Ruth Arlene Elburn Beck. A homemaker, she had also worked as a nurse's aide. She is survived by one son, Luke Kennel; one brother, Danny Beck and one sister, Beverly Hipsher.
Janice I. Bowman Holmes

Born in Cass County, she was the daughter of Samuel and Mildred Cart Bowman. Janice attended Miami-Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing Bingo and gardening. She was retired from General Motors in Flint, Michigan, where she had been a production line worker. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, James and Kelly Holmes; one daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Terry Schroder; one daughter-in-law, Christine (Mrs. Carl) Holmes; six grandchildren, Christopher Shanks Holmes, Stephen Salmons, Michelle Holmes, Daniel James Holmes, Nicole Schroder,and Chelsey Holmes; one great-grandchild, Brayden Holmes; and eight brothers, Hubert Bowman, Herbert Bowman, William Bowman, Ronald Bowman, Gerald Bowman, Larry Bowman, Richard Bowman and Victor Bowman. She was preceded in death by one son, Carl W. Holmes; and four brothers, Marion Bowman, Truman Bowman, Raymond Bowman and John Bowman.

Born in Cass County, he was the son of Glen H. and Winona L. Herr Albright. On March 25, 1961, in Logansport, he married Nancy Way, who survives. He was retired from the city of Lake Havasu, Arizona where he worked as a heavy equipment operator. A member of the Methodist Church, Mr. Albright was also a member of the Diamond City American Legion. Surviving with his wife are three sons, James Albright, Jerry Albright and Jay Albright; one daughter, Susan Scofield; one brother, Bill Albright; and two sisters, Louise Galloway and Carol Smoot; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The Rev. Donald Ruhl will officiate at the services. Burial will be with military honors.
