Colleen M. Waggoner
PERU - Graveside services for Colleen M. Waggoner, 85, Peru, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Cass County.
She died at 1:15 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, in WoodBridge Health Campus, Logansport.
Pastor Steven Bate will officiate at the services.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home in Peru.
Thomas A. Lewis
Services for Thomas A. Lewis, 84, Logansport, will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in Fisher Funeral Chapel.
He died at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, in Chase Center.
Born Feb. 27, 1924, in Logansport, he was the son of Jennings R. and Ruth Boatman Lewis.
Thomas graduated from Logansport High School in 1942. He then served in the U.S. Army’s 542nd Airborne Automatic Weapons Detachment in the United States and in Europe. Following VE day, he served with the 210th MP Co. at Theater General Board in Bad Nauheim, Germany, where he was stationed until 1946.
He attended Biarritz American University in France, Purdue University and Marietta College. Thomas graduated from the Progressive School of Photography.
He worked as a locomotive fireman and engineer on the Pennsylvania Railroad, the Penn Central and Conrail. In 1979, after a highway accident, he was permanently disabled, ending his 31 year career with the railroad.
A member of the River of Life Christian Church, he was also a member of the Tipton Masonic Lodge No. 33 in Logansport, Royal Center Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jennings R. Lewis, and his mother, Ruth Boatman Lewis Stephens.
The Rev. Frank Hibbard will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Sean Matthew Widner
Services for Sean Matthew Widner, Rochester, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Mount Hope Cemetery Chapel.
He was stillborn at 7:10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Surviving are his father, Terry L. Widner, Rochester; his mother, Mary C. Williams, Rochester; maternal grandparents, Steve Williams, Logansport, and Debbie K. Wilson and husband, J.R., Fulton; paternal grandparents, Harry Widner and wife, Debra, Logansport; great-grandparents, Marilyn Williams, Logansport, and Jackie Wortly and Ruth Tincher, both of Monon; two stepbrothers, Terry L. Widner Jr. and Austin Jo Widner, both of Logansport; aunt, Melissa Moore, Rochester; and uncles, Steve Tincher, Logansport, and Steve M. Williams, Fulton.
Pastor Larry Pyeatt will officiate at the services. Gundrum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Marjorie Leona Bridge
ROYAL CENTER - Services for Marjorie Leona Bridge, 79, Logansport, will be at noon Saturday in Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel.
She passed away at 8:15 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, in Chase Center, Logansport.
Born Dec. 30, 1927, in Cass County, she was the daughter of the late Harold Leland and Lois Mable Samsel Fickle, lifelong residents of Royal Center.
She was a homemaker, a member of Miami Baptist Church, Old Towne DAR, and the Ladies Auxiliary of Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Surviving are husband, James J. Bridge, Logansport; four sons, Stuart Elliott, Urbana, Stephen Elliott, St. Augustine, Fla., and Harry and Ernie Bridge, both of Royal Center; four daughters, Deborah Strange and husband, Elliott, Oak Hill, Va., Pamela Ford and husband, Elliott, Roann, Cathy Bridge Redmon, Oro Valley, Ariz., and Barbara Bridge Fleckenstein, Lafayette; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold W. Elliott, and two grandsons, Mark and Jason Elliott.
Pastor Jan Hobbs will officiate at the services. Graveside services and burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Roann Community Cemetery, Roann.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the funeral home in Royal Center.

Charles Edward ‘Whiskers’ Cox
DELPHI - Services for Charles Edward “Whiskers” Cox, 58, Logansport, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the residence of Donald and Petra Cox in Delphi.
He died at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, in his residence.
Born Jan. 25, 1949, in Lafayette, he was the son of John Charles and Beatrice Roberts Cox.
He had been battling cancer for the last several years.
Mr. Cox attended Delphi Schools and had been employed as a truck driver.
He enjoyed fishing, working on stock cars and loved mushroom hunting.
Surviving are two brothers, John Cox, Dallas, Texas, and Donald Cox and wife, Petra, Delphi; sister, Brenda Ball and husband, Bruce, Hubbard Lake, Mich.; three half brothers, Bob Cox and Thomas Beaver, both of Lafayette, and Elmo Byard Beaver, Flora; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a half brother, Gerald Beaver.
Family and friends will officiate at the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2723 S. Albright Road, Kokomo IN 46902.

M. Sue Watts
A celebration of life for M. Sue Watts, 78, Logansport, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Kroeger Funeral Home.
She died at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at Miller’s Merry Manor.
Born Feb. 14, 1929, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Judge George A. and Madge DeLon Custer. She was married Feb. 13, 1949, to H. Ward Watts, who preceded in death Nov. 21, 1983.
A 1947 graduate of Logansport High School and a homemaker, Sue had been a travel agent for Logan’s Port of Travel.
She was a lifetime member of the American Kennel Club and organized the AKC Logansport Dog Shows for many years.
An avid bridge player, Sue played in the same local bridge club for decades. She had also belonged to COBI Investment Group.
Sue was a member of the active and associate chapters of Alpha Mu Chapter, Tri Kappa Sorority, and had attended Calvary Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Christen and William Anderson, Logansport; grandchildren, Ward Weston Anderson and his wife, Emily, and their children, Case and Gabe, all of Indianapolis, Mark William Anderson and his wife, Tricia, Indianapolis, and Elizabeth Brooke Anderson, Indianapolis, and her fiancé, Dan Turpin, Portage; cousin, Larry DeLon, Sevierville, Tenn.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ron and Gay Watts Miller, Logansport, and Frank and Pam Watts Dawson, Payson, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Scott Ellison and members of Sue’s family will officiate.
Sue generously donated her body to the Indiana University Anatomical Education Program.

Rev. Richard E. Smith
Services for the Rev. Richard E. Smith, 73, Logansport, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Logansport Emmanuel Church.
He died at 8:20 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born Feb. 15, 1934, in Nampa, Idaho, he was the son of Chester R. and Ethel E. McCall Smith. He was married May 28, 1959, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to Mary C. Magee, who survives.
Rev. Smith was pastor of Emmanuel Church in Logansport. He was a minister for 50 years serving in Kansas, Pennsylvania, Nebraska, South Dakota, Ohio, Colorado and New Jersey.
From 1984 to the present time, he was president of the Emmanuel Association of Churches. He had a vital interest in foreign missions and visited Guatemala and Bolivia many times as missionary advisor and evangelist.
Also surviving are two sons, Donald E. Smith and wife, Angela R., Bolivia, South America, and Mark A. Smith and wife, Stephanie, Colorado Springs, Colo.; brother, Wendell Smith and wife, Pat, Falcon, Colo.; and grandchildren, Melanie Smith, Ashley Smith, Tiffany Smith, Shelley Smith and Chris Smith.
The Rev. Alan Crawford will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Colorado Springs, Colo.

AKRON - William F. Lake, 86, Akron, passed away at 4:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

He died at 2:35 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007, in Milner Community Healthcare Center in Rossville.

Burial will be in Middle Fork Church Cemetery.

Thomas Paul Lantz
CAMDEN - Services for Thomas Paul Lantz, 79, Deer Creek, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Cree Funeral Home.
He died at 4 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, in his residence.
Born April 4, 1928, in Carroll County, he was the son of Fred and Maggie Cohee Lantz. He was married July 1, 1950, in Burlington, to Wilma Jo Clawson, who survives.
A 1945 graduate of Deer Creek High School, Mr. Lantz was the head of maintenance at General Tire in Logansport. He retired in 1987.
He was a member of the former Deer Creek Lutheran Church, built model airplanes and clocks and enjoyed taking home movies.
Also surviving are one son, Terrence Lantz, Deer Creek; two daughters, Cathy Marie Lantz and Peggy Young, both of Deer Creek; one brother, Jerry Lantz, Logansport; one sister, Mary Hyman, Galveston; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Three brothers and one sister preceded in death.
The Rev. Ron Elly will officiate. Burial will be in Center EUB Cemetery, Galveston.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home in Camden.

Bobby R. Cupp
FLORA - Services for Bobby R. Cupp, 66, Cutler, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Reinke Funeral Home.
He died at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, in St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo.

John J. Delworth Jr.
ROCHESTER - A funeral Mass for John J. Delworth Jr., 81, Rochester, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Catholic Church.
He died at 12:47 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth.
The Rev. Joseph Jacob will officiate at the services. Burial will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery, where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Rochester American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Posts.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Zimmerman Brothers Funeral Home, Rochester, where the rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.

Billie Dodds Schache Jr.
Services for Billie Dodds Schache Jr., 65, Indianapolis, formerly of Logansport, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Kroeger Funeral Home.
He died at 3:13 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007, in Community Hospital East, Indianapolis.
Born April 30, 1942, in Peru, he was the son of Billie D. Sr. and Mary Jane Demuth Schache. He was married June 6, 1998, to Joy Dawn Riggin, who preceded in death in March 2007.
Mr. Schache was retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service.
He was a member of Greenwood Christian Church, the American Legion in Greenfield and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are one brother, Don Schache and his wife, Linda, Walton; one sister, Shirley Kistler, and her husband, George, Logansport; three stepsons, Herbert Pasch, Neil Pasch and his wife, Sandy, and Michael Pasch, all of Indianapolis; two stepdaughters, Judi DeFord and her husband, Ryan, and Staci Pasch, all of Indianapolis; 16 stepgrandchildren; and 10 stepgreat-grandchildren.
Patrick McDaniel will officiate. Burial, with full military honors, will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
