She died at 10:40 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2002, in Monticello Healthcare. Born in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Mordacai and Mary Jane Jackson Emberton. On Dec. 25, 1927, she married Troy B. Farley. He preceded in death Sept. 30, 1979. She was a member of the Ladies Missionary aides and taught Sunday School at the Sitka Baptist Church. She enjoyed flowers, quilting and reading. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Bob E. and Mary Catherine Farley; one granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Susan C. and Stephen Morris; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.

Troy Leroy Dennis, 78, Monticello Troy Leroy Dennis, 78, of 11494 Von Hollow Road, died Monday, May 5, 2003, at Old Town Lake, Ark. He was born at Fisher, Ark., on Nov. 24, 1924, to John Henry and Roxie Johnston Dennis. He married Helen Loveless at Corinth, Miss., on Feb. 10, 1951. She died June 7, 1997. He graduated from Fisher High School in Arkansas. He then attended welding school. He was a member of the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was an electrician and a member of IBEW Local 668 at Lafayette. He was a member of Order of the Moose Lodge 906, Thornton Williams Post 81 American Legion and AMVETS Post 91, all of Monticello, and Sullivan Lodge 263 F&AM.; He was a life member of Princeton Post 1147 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include stepdaughters, Beverly K. Clark, Dixie Ward of Elgin, Texas, and Lynda Lou Powell of San Diego, Calif.; stepson, Don E. Parker of Princeton; a brother, Robert Dennis of Holts Summit, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. A graveside service is planned at 2 p.m. today at Hughes Cemetery, Monticello, with the Rev. Jim Copeland officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association or the Scleroderma Foundation. Fisher-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Dennis Leo Medbourn, 57, formerly of Logansport, died at 8:35 a.m. Sunday, April 27, 2003, in Sacred Heart Hospital, Tomahawk, Wisconsin. Born February 15, 1946, he was the son of Leo B. and Genevieve Geneva Dawald Medbourn. He was employed in manufacturing at Auto Parts. A member of the Salvation Army, Mr. Medbourn enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Surviving are one son, Dennis Medbourn, Tomahawk, Wisconsin; one daughter, Teresa Burbridge, Logansport; one brother, Robert Knapp, Logansport; and one sister, Patty James, Logansport.

Kathryn L. Sanders, 86, Logansport, died at 4:18 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2003, in St. Joseph Hospital emergency room, Kokomo. Born in Howard County, she was the daughter of Martin V. and Ada Sabina Stanford. On May 24, 1936, in Indianapolis, she was married to Robert "Bob" Wallace Sanders, who survives. A homemaker, she was a member of the Main St. United Methodist Church. She enjoyed shopping and decorating her home. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Also surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry T. & Janet Sanders, Orlando, Florida, and Stanford & Eloise Sanders, Walton; one sister, Betty Lobeck, Kokomo; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Martin and Thomas J. Stanford; and one sister, Mary Shuck. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.

Frederick E. Boehme, 76, Logansport, died at 10:03 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2003, in his residence. Born in Cass County, he was the son of Ruben Earl and Ida B. Sloop Boehme. He was married to Edna B. Towe, who survives. Mr. Boehme was retired and had worked in the construction and roofing industry. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during WWII. Surviving with his wife are five sons, John Michael Boehme, Logansport, Fred Boehme Jr., Deer Creek, Mark Allen Boehme, Logansport, Brian Lee Boehme, Logansport, and Kevin Lynn Boehme, Logansport; two daughters, Lorraine Kay Martin, Logansport, and Ida Katherine Blackman, Logansport; one brother, Chuck Boehme, Elkhart; two sisters, Josephine Freeman, Elkhart and Thelma "Dollie" Weemier, Kendallville; and twelve grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. One brother, Carl E. Boehme, and one sister, Mary Linback preceded in death.

She died April 2, 2003, in Tampa General Hospital, Tampa, Florida. Born in Logansport, she was the daughter of Norman H. and Edna Mae Overmeyer Williamson. She was married to David Linton, who survives in Crystal River, Florida. A homemaker, she had attended the Riverview Wesleyan Church in Logansport. In Florida, sh was a member of the Crystal River United Methodist Church. She had moved to Florida eleven years ago. Surviving with her husband are one son, Paul Linton, Crystal River, Florida; one daughter, Terry Gano, Logansport; two brothers, Steve Williamson, Hernando, Florida, and Larry Williamson, Spain; five sisters, Kitty Williamson, Homosassa, Florida, Peggy Clingenpeel, Flora, Claudia Kesser, Oklahoma City, OK, Ruth E. Smith, Kentucky, and Norma Williamson, Oklahoma; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son.

Sandra J. Anderson Sandra J. Anderson, 64, of 5010 Wea Drive, Kokomo, died at 10:49 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2003, in her residence. Born Aug. 6, 1938, in South Bend, she was the daughter of Wesley and Evelyn Byers Scott. Mrs. Anderson had been employed at Delco until her retirement. Surviving are her mother, Kokomo, one son, Scott Anderson, Lapel; two daughters, Julie Lancaster, Orlando, Fla., and Kim Anderson, Kempton; one sister, Donna B. Lockwood, Delaware, Ohio; and seven grandchildren. Her father preceded in death. There will be no services. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Cass County. Patricia K. Szep, 59, Kokomo, died Tuesday, April 29, 2003 at 1:08 p.m. in North Woods Village Nursing Home, Kokomo. She had most recently resided at the Alterra Sterling House, an assisted living community in Kokomo. Born November 3, 1943, in Canton, Ohio, she was the daughter of Warwick Edward and Martha Lovenia (Althar) Brown. She was a 1961 graduate of Melbourne High School in Florida. On June 12, 1962, she married Richard J. Szep. The couple divorced in 1995, and have one daughter, Anita M. Jay, who survives. Mrs. Szep was a member of Moody Bible Institute's radio broadcast church family. Anita and her husband, Ian D. Jay, Logansport, have five children at home, William, Madeleine, Savannah, Lilith and Carl Jay. One grandchild, Thomas Jay, preceded in death. A brother, Robert Brown (Ohio) and two sisters, Dorothy Fletcher (Ohio) and Martha Fauble (Florida) also preceded in death. She is survived by one brother, William Brown (Florida) and two sisters, Doris Reinhard (Pennsylvania) and Margaret VanNostran(Florida). Mrs. Szep's extended family also included six granddaughters, Halyna Mysynchuk (Ukraine), Amanda Ankner (Sweden), Corina Berli (Switzerland), Caterina Ferretti (Chile), Esther Hirschlein and Insa Bergmann, (both of Germany). Mrs. Szep was active throughout the 1970's with the Christian Women's Club of Kokomo. She had been a member of Elmbrook Church (Milwaukee, Wisconsin) and had attended the First Baptist and Bible Baptist churches of Kokomo. Mrs. Szep volunteered at Howard Elementary School and served as a volunteer remedial aide at Northwestern Jr. High School. Mrs. Szep graduated with highest honors from Indiana University Kokomo in 1986. She was a member of the PEO Sisterhood. Memorial contributions may be made to Cottey College.
