Mr. Hacker was born in Bloomington. He moved to White County in 1940. Mr. Hacker was a foreman at RCA in the sanding and Mill Room. He attended the First Baptist Church in Monticello. and was a member of the Moose Lodge and American Legion. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, bowling, singing and dancing. Surviving are a daughter, Dee Miller (husband: Russ) of Lafayette. Longtime Friend and Caregiver Lorena "Lee" Jones of Monticello; a granddaughter Renita Wessel of Frankfort and 2 Great Grandchildren

Rita Spurgeon, 51, Logansport, died Thursday, March 25, 2004, in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. On October 15, 1952, in Logansport, she was born to James Leo and Elizabeth Bell Brock Edwards. She was married to Jerry Spurgeon, who survives. A homemaker, Mrs. Spurgeon worked part-time as a packer in the Pharos Tribune Press room. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary. Surviving with her husband are her adopted mother, Bonnie Jourdan, Logansport; two daughters, Shannon Cochran, Warsaw, and Heather Carson, Peru; one son, Tye Watts, Logansport; six brothers, James Rose, New Port Richey, Florida, James Speth, Glen Allen, Missouri, Timothy Wakeman, Stockton, California, Clayton Wakeman, Elkhart, Terril Wakeman, Elkhart, and Mark Wakeman, Elkhart; three sisters, Jody Hunt, Hickman, Tennessee, Kathy Nickel, Logansport, and Pamela Clark, Kokomo; and five grandchildren. One son, Allen Watts, preceded in death. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rita Spurgeon Memorial Fund c/o Fisher Funeral Chapel.

Dennis L. "Denny" Pritchard, 48, of 3032 Pemberly Court,West Lafayette, died unexpectedly at 12:52 p.m. Saturday, December 11, 2004, in St. Elizabeth Medical Center. On May 23, 1986, he married Margarita M. "Margi" Ferguson in Colfax. She survives. Mr. Pritchard worked for Lafayette Venetian Blind as a framer for the past 10 years. He enjoyed woodworking. He also enjoyed studying the history of Native Americans, painting them and collecting Native American items. Surviving with his wife are a son, Nathan L. Pritchard, at home; four daughters, Nicole M. Pritchard, at home, and Natasha Pritchard, Jana Pritchard and Erica Pritchard, all of Monticello; a niece, Chelsea Johnson, residing in the home; and parents, Eugene L. and Ruby E. Hollis Pritchard. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren. Preceded in death by a sister, Patty Johnson. Those desiring may contribute in memoriam to the Federated Church of West Lafayette.
Michael "Mike" L. Morris

Michael L. "Mike" Morris, 46, of 200 W. County Road 1150 S., died unexpectedly at 9:40 p.m. Monday, December 13, 2004, in the Home Hospital emergency room of an apparent heart attack. Born Oct. 18, 1958, in Frankfort, Indiana, he had lived in Romney for the past 18 years. He was a 1976 graduate of Clinton Prairie High School. Mr. Morris was a carpenter with Carpenter's Local 215 for the past 20 years. He was a 4-H leader, and an aerospace assistant superintendent for 4-H. He enjoyed fishing, Purdue sports and model rockets. Surviving are two sons, Rory Lewis and Jase Michael Morris, both at home; and two brothers, Pat E. Morris (wife: Marcia) of Mulberry and Mark A. Morris (fiancee: Brenda Bonty) of Lafayette. Mark lived for his boys and friends may best express sympathy with memorials to the Rory L. and Jase M. Olive M. Robertson, 97, Logansport, died at 3:25 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, in Miller's Merry Manor. Born in Clinton Township, Cass County, on January 16, 1907, she was the daughter of Charles and Frances Oberla Robertson. Olive enjoyed gardening. In 1975, she retired from R.B.M. where she had worked for 33 years. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, four sisters, and two half-brothers. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

David L. Snell, age 62, of 1009 Roberts Street, Lafayette, died in Heritage Healthcare at 11:10 p.m. Friday November 26, 2004. He had been a patient there since October 15, and in ill health the past 3 years. Born in Frankfort, Indiana March 27, 1942, he had resided in Lafayette the past 4 years. Mr. Snell had most recently worked for the Tippecanoe Coutny Mental Health Association as a caretaker. Surviving are 3 daughters, Susan E. Huizar (husband: Maurilio) of Lafayette, Pam S. Walter (husband: Tim) and Stacey Ann Fox (husband: Dan) of Williamsport, Indiana. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren. If friends desire memorial may be made to the Tippecanoe County Mental Health Association.

Mrs. Honn was born to Joseph and Blanche Taulman in Goodland, IN. She married Samuel F. Honn September 26, 1935 in White County, IN. He passed away December 19, 1961. She graduated from Goodland High School and Purdue/Calumet. She was an LPN for a number of years with Bartholomew County Hospital in Columbus, IN from which she retired. She was a member of the Seymour Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed knitting, crotching, and traveling, especially to Florida. She was a fantastic cook. She is survived by a daughter, Lola Erwin of Monticello. Preceded in Death by Daughter, Alice L. Cunningham; Brothers, Clyde and Lyman Taulman; Sister, Etta Maude "Peg" Erwin. Memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church in Seymour, IN.
Ruth S. Congram

Mrs. Congram died due to complications from a pedestrian/auto accident on October 26, 2004. She attended school in Pulaski. She was a memer of Pulaski Presbyterian Church and was a church Elder since 1996. Ruth began taking flight instruction in the late 1930's and earned her private pilot's license and enlisted in the Civil Air Patrol Auxilary of the United States Air Force, on May 24, 1944. She flew on search missions as a pilot or as an observer. She operated a Civil Air Patrol Radio Station for several years. For thirty years, she served on senior staff at CAP Summer Encampments at various Air Force Bases. She worked as Administrative Finance Officer and Encampment Commander. Ruth received Civil Patrol rank of Lt. Colonel on September of 1983. She never retired from the Civil Air Patrol. She and her husband operated the Congram Airport on the East Side of Monticello from 1945-1966. At this Airport, they prepared planes for relicense and rebuilt wrecked airplanes. She was a member of Seed Savers Exchange, a group of gardeners devoted to keeping heirloom varieties alive. Memorials may be made to the Pulaski Presbyterian Church or to Twin Lakes Senior Citizens. She is survived by her brother, Robert Staddon; two Sisters; Jane Kurtti and Elsie Hendrickson; Several Nieces and Nephews; Several Great Nieces and Nephews; and Several Great, Great Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in Death by two Brothers, Sam Staddon and George Staddon; and three sisters, Mary Staddon, Carrie Guy and Margaret Staddon.
