Robert Reutebuch, 77 of Macy, IN, died at 6:30 am Friday, November 12, 2004 in the Life Care Center, Rochester. He was born August 18, 1927 in Logansport, Son of the late Casper M. Reutebuch and the late Eva Marie Butler. He was married August 22, 1947 to Thelma Louise Reutebuch (Thelma Louise Rylands) in Peru, Indiana. He was a engineer for Conrail Railroad . He was a Veteran of the US Navy and had served in WWII. Surviving are his wife, Thelma Louise Reutebuch and 3 Sons, Robert W. Reutebuch of Logansport, IN, Larry E. Reutebuch of Logansport, IN, Randy A. Reutebuch of Rochester, IN; one daughter, Nancy E. Bowman , Royal Center, IN; Nine Grandchildren, Fifteen Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by by four brothers and two sisters. Contributions may be made to the Hope Hospital of Rochester.

John A. "Obee" Obenchain, 80 of Logansport, IN, died at 1:46 a.m. Friday, November 12, 2004 in Memorial Hospital. He was born May 29, 1924 in Logansport, the son of Glenn D. and Hazel Williams Obenchain. He was married to Georgia L. Allen on August 18, 1948. She preceded in death Feb. 22, 1997 He was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He also belonged to the Eagles Aerie No. 323 and the Logansport Elks #66, and the Voiture Nationale of the 40/8. He was retired from the military. He served in the US Navy in WWII , he saw service in the European and Pacific Theater. He also served in the Merchant Marines and the Army Air Corps in Korea, then the Air Force in Viet Nam. While in the Korean War he served on Sea Rescue Boats. In 1963 he was recognized as the top Air Force Recruiter in the Country. He was documentation and historian in Viet Nam. He was also a Photographer for Stars and Stripes Military newsletter. John retired from 15 years of Civil Service at Grissom Air Force Base. He then worked at Big R, until they closed in Logansport. Most people in this area knew him only as "Obee from the Big R." He enjoyed flying model airplanes and photography. Surviving are 3 Daughters, Laura (Perry) Umphries of Huntington, Maryland, Marianne (Rob) Good of Olympia, Washington, Jennifer Obenchain of Seattle, Washington; one son John Obenchain of Logansport; two sisters, Janet Obenchain, Logansport, and Joyce McNamara, California; and five grandchildren, Teena Weaver of Broomes Island, MD, Eric Umphries of Huntington, MD, Sean Ruff , Laffayette, IN., Shannon Obenchain, Atlanta GA, Anna Jorgensen, San Diego, CA; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia L. Obenchain; one daughter, Lisa Obenchain Hahn, and his brothers, Keith Obenchain and William Obenchain. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday at Fisher Funeral Chapel, Logansport, Indiana. Services will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at Fisher Funeral Chapel with celebrant Carla Barker officiating. Contributions may be made to the Academy of Model Aeronautics, Muncie, IN.

Hilda Myrtle Nethercutt Brewer, 82 of Logansport, IN, died at 12:27 a.m. Thursday, November 11, 2004 in Chase Center. She was born March 27, 1922 in Coloma, Michigan,the daughter of James Thomas and Mary Myrtle Houser Cowgill. She married Raymond Nethercutt in 1939, in Michigan. He preceded her in death in 1959. She married Raymond Brewer in 1960, in Logansport. He preceded her in death in 1988. She attended the First Assembly Church of God. She was a homemaker and loved to sing. She also enjoyed sewing and crocheting. Surviving are 2 Sons, Daniel (and his wife Mary) Nethercutt of Lakeland , FL, James (and his fiancee Laura Dooly) Nethercutt of Star City, IN; 2 Daughters, Linda(and her husband Mervin) Nisley of Bristol, IN, Alice Moeloa of Logansport, IN; and one daughter-in-law Tresa Nethercutt, Benton, IN; nineteen grandchildren, 27 great grand children. She was preceded in death by one son,Clyde Nethercutt; two brothers and six sisters. Friends will be received from 1 to 4 PM Sunday Nov. 14, 2004 at Fisher Funeral Chapel, Logansport, Indiana. Services will be private graveside with Pastor Jim Sparks officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in lieu of flowers.

Richard "Dick" Bridge, 66 of Logansport, IN, died at 3:55 am Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at his residence. He was born November 30, 1937 in Cass County, IN, Son of the late Dudley Bridge and the late Frances Selders. He was married April 20, 1956 to Sharon Bridge (Sharon R. Purdue) in Cass County, IN. He retired as a Shop Foreman from Carter Block after 12 years. He had been a Semi-driver for Morrison and Gottwalls for many years. He was a member of the Royal Center Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star and Cass County 4-H Club. Dick enjoyed NASCAR,he was a Dale Earnhart fan, he enjoyed collecting John Deere Tractors and woodworking. He liked going to Roann for the summer . Surviving are 2 Sons, Dale (Emy) Bridge of Logansport, IN, Curtiss Bridge of Michigan City, IN; Daughter, Diane (Mike) Barrett of Walton, IN; Brother, Dale Bridge and companion Susie Kinder of Logansport, IN; Sister, Janice Bridge, Texas; 5 Granddaughters, Tiffany DeWitt and her companion Brandon Strong of Logansport, Megan Barrett of Walton, Tabitha DeWitt of Kokomo, Carissa Koskye of Plymouth, Caitlen Bridge of Plymouth; 5 Grandsons, Josh Bridge of Logansport, Danny Bridge of Logansport, Eric Bridge of Logansport, Craig Bridge of Plymouth, Bobby Bridge of Indianapolis; 2 Great-Grandchildren , Taylor Strong of Logansport, Jacob Koskye of Plymouth; daughter-in-law Kathy Bridge, Culver, IN. Mary J. Engelbrecht, 89 of Logansport, IN, died at 11:50 pm in her residence, Tuesday, November 9, 2004. She was born July 8, 1915 in Logansport, the daughter of the late John and Ogle Miller Anderson. She was married October 4, 1941 to the late James W. Engelbrecht in Logansport, Indiana. She was a member of the St James Lutheran Church. Mary enjoyed her many friends, neighbors and family. She had worked in the cafeterias of Logansport High School, Lincoln and Franklin schools for the Logansport School Corporation. Surviving are one son, James Engelbrecht, Jr of Lebanon, IN; 3 Daughters, Christine (Stephen) Edson of Logansport, In, Linda (Robert) Hill of Fairborn, OH, Mary Lou Grisez of Logansport, IN; one Brother, Keith Anderson of St. Petersberg, FL; one Sister, Martisha Knox of Cape Coral, FL; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Engelbrecht; five sisters; one brother; and one great-grandson. Ronald G. "Ron" Feldt, 50 of Monticello, IN, died Sunday, November 28, 2004 at his residence. He was born August 3, 1954 in Lafayette, IN, Son of Ralph A. Feldt and Maxine M. Pickering Feldt, who survive. He was married September 12, 2004 to Pam L. Feldt (Pam L. Mullins) in Lafayette, IN. Ron worked for Monticello Spring for 24 years. He was a member of the Monticello Dart Club. He enjoyed water sking, NASCAR racing, Billiards and Target Practice. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. . Surviving with his wife and parents are a Son, Rian L. Feldt of Monticello, IN; Daughter, Katie(Joshua) L. Gilbert of Burnettsville, IN; step son, Jason L.
