Alice Mae Wilson, 70, Batesville, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002 at Decatur County Hospital.
born June 30, 1931 at Batesville, she was the daughter of Clyde and Lois (Tarpenning) Vankirk.
His mother survives.
She married Ray Wilson Aug. 28, 1949 at Napoleon and he survives.
Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Napoleon United Methodist Church and attended the Versailles Senior Citizen Center.
In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by two sons, Daniel Wilson of Osgood and James Wilson of Versailles; two daughters, Betsy Wilson of Napoleon and Mary Adams of Osgood; two brothers, Melvin Vankirk of Florida and Charles Vankirk of Greenfield; two sisters, Letha Harman of Greenfield and Martha Jane May of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to his father, she was preceded in death by one son, David Wilson.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Neal's Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale Day officiating.
Burial will be in Booher Cemetery near Napoleon.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Joseph H. Hill, 62, Indianapolis, died Saturday, May 11, 2002 in Indianapolis.
Hill was born and raised in Greensburg.
He was a dock worker and supervisor for the Salvation Army before retiring in 1997.
He is survived by his mother, Violet W. Baker Hill; a son, Joseph Grant Hill; a daughter, Jada Drexler; two brothers, William and Russ Hill; four sisters, Marlene Holcomb, Nora Sudder, Mary Ann Griner and Leona Lee; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2002 at Indiana Funeral Care at Peace Chapel on Michigan Street in Indianapolis.

Bessie Collins, 62, Connersville, died Friday, May 10, 2002 at her residence.
born Dec. 13, 1939 in Jackson Co., Ky., she was the daughter of John R. and Ruth Blanton Miller Cain, both deceased.
She moved to Connersville as a child, lived in Greensburg from 1960 until 1989 when she moved back to Connersville.
She was a member of the Full Gospel Holiness Church and was a caregiver to many elderly people in their homes.
She also had worked at Kmart, Marsh Grocery, Odd Fellows Nursing Home and Apples Grocery in Greensburg.
She is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Sue (Michael) Badgley of Westport; four sons, Terry (Jerri) Collins of Greensburg, Douglas (Denise) Collins of Albuquerque, N.M., and Joey (Tinya) Collins of St. Paul; five brothers, Clemon Reed of Franklin Co., James Miller of Greensburg, Ray Miller of Connersville, Robert Ralph Miller of Fla., and Berlon Miller of Laurel; three sisters, Lessie (John) Cooksey of Connersville, Elsie Davis of Texas and Geraldine (Delbert) Allen of Metamora; and 10 grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister and half brother.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Full Gospel Holiness Church with the Rev. James C. Parrett officiating.
Burial will be in Laurel North Cemetery.

Douglas J. RedLeaf, 60, Columbus, died at 12:18 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, 2002 at his residence.
born Jan. 24, 1942 in Creighton, Neb., he was the son of Steven and Rena (Wolfe) RedLeaf, both deceased.
He married Norma Gilbert on Oct. 30, 1965 in Greensburg, and she survives.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was a clerk with the U.S. Postal Service for 35 years before retiring in 1998.
He graduated from high school in Niobrara, Neb.
He was a member of the Santee Sioux Indian Tribe and a past member of the American Postal Workers Union and Mail Handlers Union.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Joe RedLeaf of Norman; one daughter, Lora A. Turner of Columbus; one brother, Carl RedLeaf of Tampa, Fla.; one sister, Betty Gilpin of Cincinnati; several nieces and nephews; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Carl RedLeaf and two sisters, Shirley Tuttle and Patricia RedLeaf.

Mabel V. Schuck, 84, Sunman, died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2002 at Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville.
born June 10, 1918 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Walter and Edna (Trautman) Osburn, both deceased.
She married Russell N. Schuck on Dec. 7, 1949 and he preceded her in death on July 11, 1969.
She had retired as a clerk at the Sunman Post Office.
She was a member of the Sunman Community Church, the Order of the Eastern Star and served as a radio operator for the Sunman Area Life Squad.
She is survived by one brother, Quentin Osburn of Cincinnati; five nieces; one nephew; 13 great-nieces and -nephews; and 17 great-great-nieces and -nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and Tim Osburn.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Cook Funeral Home in Sunman with the Rev. Joey Nelson officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery in Sunman.

Geneva Marie Smith, 87, Greensburg, died at 2:18 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, 2002 at Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus.
born Aug. 13, 1915 in Napoleon, she was the daughter of Samuel Emerson and Ida Louis (Michael) Carter, both deceased. She married Randall L. Smith on Dec. 6, 1941 in Rushville, and he survives.
She was a homemaker.
A 1934 graduate of Napoleon High School, she was a member of Life Apostolic Ministries Mission in Westport.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Samuel Layton Smith of Evansville and Kevin Smith of Greensburg; one daughter, Rose Marie Brown of Letts; two sisters, Velma Gibson and Bertha Phillips, both of Greensburg; many nieces and nephews; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Meyer, Nellie Baylis and Ida Phillips; and four brothers, Albert, Arthur, Charles and Aaron Carter.

Sister Paula Baumann, O.S.F, 82, Oldenburg, died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002 at the St. Francis Infirmary in Oldenburg.
born Nov. 2, 1919 in Cincinnati, she was the daughter of Frank and Margaret (Wagner) Baumann, both deceased.
She entered the convent on Sept. 8, 1937, took her final vows on Aug. 12, 1943 and retired to the Motherhouse in 1996.
She was a teacher and a principal.
She worked at St. Joseph, Sacred Heart, St. Vincent de Paul, St. Leo's, St. Catherine's, St. Aloysius and St. Aloysius on the Ohio, all in Cincinnati; St. Bernard's in Taylor Creek; St. Peter's in Hamilton; St. John XXIII in Middletown; St. Louis in Batesville; Lourdes in Indianapolis; St. Mary's in North Vernon; St. Andrew's in Richmond; and Holy Trinity in St. Louis.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Baumann, and two brothers, the Rev. Richard and Clarence Baumann.

Juanita M. "Nanny" Sutter Robbins, 74, Madison, died at 12:15 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002 at King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison.
born Jan. 20, 1928 in Jefferson County, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Agnes (Helt) Bock, both deceased.
She married Virgil Sutter and he preceded her in death.
She married Ronald Robbins and he preceded her in death.
She operated a domestic cleaning service for years.
She was a member of the American Legion Post 9 Auxiliary.
She is survived by five daughters Donna (Wayne) Lapine, Margaret (David) Edwards, Verna Brim and Faye Sutter and companion Danny Long, all of Madison and Barbara (Ed) Williams of Columbus; one sister, Katherine Blessinger of Orlando, Fla.; one brother, Charles Bock of Madison; several nieces and nephews; 15 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Hall, Margaret Macy and an infant sister Georgia Bock; two brothers, Joseph L. Bock and an infant brother Frank Bock.

He was born Jan. 12, 1933 in Greensburg.
He was a partner for 40 years at M.S. Cassen, LLC.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served in the Korean conflict.
A 1959 graduate of Butler University, he was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Third Degree.
He is survived by his wife, Clara (Nieman) Tekulve; two sons, Keith and Kurt Tekulve; one daughter, Kara Traub; and 13 grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Pius X Catholic Church.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
