Shirley M. Stilabower, 71, Greensburg, died at 2:05 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003, at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
born May 8, 1931, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of Robert O. and Mary (King) Dudley.
She married Robert O. Stilabower Oct. 14, 1950, and he preceded her in death July 7, 1993.
She was a homemaker and a member of New Point Christian Church.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Stilabower, and a brother, Larry G. Dudley.
Survivors are a son, Steve Stilabower of Greensburg; and a daughter, Laura Cooper of Greensburg.
Funeral service is at 10 a.m. Thursday at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home, Greensburg with the Rev. Mark Vice officiating.
Burial will be in Rossburg Cemetery, New Point.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Elicia D. Beebe, 33, Batesville, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2003, at Margaret Mary Community Hospital.
born Dec. 31, 1969, in Lawrenceburg, she was the daughter of William Yont of Indianapolis and Barbara Martin of Batesville.
She married Brian Beebe and he survives.
She was a supervisor at the New Horizons Rehabilitation Center in Batesville.
Besides her parents and husband, she is survived by a son, Brandon Beebe.
Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Johns United Church of Christ, Huntersville, with the Rev. Dave Johnston officiating.
Burial will be in St. Johns cemetery.

Clara M. Ernstes, 85, Greensburg, died at 7 a.m. Sunday, June 22, 2003 at her daughter's home.
born March 28, 1918 in Clarksburg, she was the daughter of Lewis and Lillie (Weber) Boyce.
A lifelong Decatur County resident, she had been a cook at Laughlin Restaurant, Hamilton Restaurant and Howard Buell Restaurant and had also worked at the Carol Cook dress factory.
A 1937 graduate of Greensburg High School, she was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna Edmonson of North Vernon; a son, Charles Edward Ernstes of Yellville, Ark.; a brother, Sherman Lewis Boyce of Milroy; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by companion Tom Godbey, who died on May 13, 1997; a brother, Clifford Boyce; two sisters, Catherine Knapp and Wyona "Tutty" Smith Reagan; one granddaughter, Sue Donna Ernstes; and three great-grandchildren, Joshua Goodlin, Cody Hersley Edmonson and Abrian McReynolds.
Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1219 S. Michigan St., Greensburg, with the Rev. Mark Flory officiating.

Eulis Bedford Gibson, 79, Greensburg, died at 1 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2003 at St. Vincent's Hospital, Indianapolis.
born May 21, 1924 in Adair, Ky., he was the son of Ernest and Mary Lena (England) Gibson.
He married Phebie M. Brown on April 3, 1943 in Metcalf, Ky., and she survives.
He worked at Delta Faucet for 27 years and was owner/operator of Gibson's Car Wash and Laundromat for 25 years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Tom and Jack Gibson, both of Indianapolis; three daughters, Linda (Robert D.) Clark and Imia (Robert E.) Clark and Pat Haley, all of Greensburg; two brothers, Kenneth Gibson of Louisville, Bill Gibson of Ft. Knox, Ky.; two sisters, Leoda Reese of Columbia, Ky., and Estaline Corbin of Milltown, Ky.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, L.W. Gibson, and a sister, Helen Diane Gibson.

Edwin F. Schwendenmann, 88, Greensburg, died at 4:19 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2003 at St. Anthony's Health Center, Lafayette.
born July 18, 1914 in St. Paul, he was the son of George and Agnes (Brown) Schwendenmann.
He married Catherine Boone Aug. 16, 1936 in Greensburg, and she preceded him in death.
Decatur County sheriff from 1971-1974, Indiana State Police trooper and captain of Railroad Police for Amtrak in Beech Grove, he had a radio show on WTRE and was a 1932 graduate of Greensburg High School.
A member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, where he performed in the choir for more than 70 years, he was past grand knight of the Knights of Columbus 1042, charter member of Greensburg Optimist Club, member of Greensburg Senior Citizens, Masonic Lodge 36, Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine and Greensburg Shrine Club and drove Shriner's Hospital van.
He won the Respect for Law award in 1986, was named Optimist of the Year in 1999, won Area XI Older Hoosier in 1985 and was presented with the Distinguished Graduate Award from St. Mary's in 1994.
He helped start Little League and school safety patrol in Greensburg in 1954.
He is survived by two sons, Dan (Wanda) Schwendenmann of Cincinnati and Steve (Barb) Schwendenmann of Lafayette; one daughter, Carolyn (Gene) Brown of Monticello; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Lloyd and a brother, Frank Schwendenmann.

He was a former employee of Neinaber's Dairy, and after that, did general labor around town.

born Feb. 14, 1928 in Batesville, she was the daughter of Stanley and Stella (Grieshop) Hoene.
She married Arnold A. "Mandy" Gauck June 28, 1952 at St. Louis Church, Batesville, and he preceded her in death on April 26, 1996.
A operator for the Batesville Telephone Company and clerk at Danners Dime Store before retirement, she was a member of the Knights of St. John Auxiliary and St. Louis Ladies Society.
She is survived by two daughters, Yvonne M. Mehlon and Lynne A. Wonning, both of Batesville; three sons, Steven G. and Mark A. Gauck, both of Batesville, and Wayne G. Gauck of Indianapolis; two sisters, Marian Mollaun of Batesville and Jean Hortemiller of Pewaukee, Wis.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Jaclyn Hoene and Elvira Shaw.
