Woodrow M. "Woody" Stotsenburg, 84, Greensburg, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003 at his home.
Funeral service is at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Glenn E. George Funeral Home, St. Paul.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
James R. Masters, 71
James R. Masters, 71, Greensburg, died at 6:40 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003 at Indiana Heart Hospital, Indianapolis.
born Jan. 25, 1932 in Greensburg, he was the son of Bert and Stella (Walker) Masters.
He married Beverly Sweet Sept. 8, 1980 and she survives.
He worked at Cummins Engine in Columbus before retiring after 26 years.
He served in the Korean War from 1952-1954 and attended school in Clarksburg.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Brandon (Jennifer) Masters and Larry (Sandy) Garrison, both of Greensburg and Richard (Lorena) Garrison of Adams; four daughters, Ellen Linville Clark and Karen (Ernest) Baker, both of of Greensburg, Teresa (Jim) Phillips of Affton, Mo., and Jane (Richard) Held of Portland, Ore.; a sisters, Helen (Chester) Perkins of Lawrence; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Allen Masters and an infant sister.
Funeral services were Monday at Burns Funeral Home, Milroy, with the Rev. Paul Wenning officiating.
Burial was in Clarksburg Cemetery with military graveside rites.
Naomi Dea (Turner) Scott, 73
Naomi Dea (Turner) Scott, 73, Lebanon, died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
born March 21, 1930 in Greensburg, she was the daughter of Jasper Levi and Hallie Elizabeth (Record) Turner.
She married William McGuire in Greensburg in 1946 and they divorced in 1950.
She married William F. Ricketts in Greensburg in 1952 and they divorced in 1961.
She married Gervis Campbell Scott Oct. 26, 1963 in Franklin and he survived.
She enjoyed cooking, embroidery, quilting, decorating wedding cakes and making doll clothes.
She had worked for period in Indianapolis as a restaurant waitress and cook.
Besides her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Debbie Ricketts of Indianapolis, Millie (Clarence) Brown of Middleburg, Ky., Denise (Harold) Frederick of New Ross and Grenadine (John) Sampson of Bismarck, Ark.; three sons, Randy Scott of Lebanon, Michael K. McGuire of Bismarck, Ark., and William E. Ricketts of Colorado; a sister, Vivian Smith of Wellsburg, W. Va.; two brothers, Franklin Turner of Lakeland, Fla., and Ralph D. Turner of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren; and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Roy G. Scott; four brothers, Rollin O., William T., Robert E. and James Turner; and three sisters, Mary Louise Davis, Dorothy M. Ropp and Hazel Carver.
Funeral service is at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Myers Chapel, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon.
Burial will follow in Browns Wonder Cemetery in Lebanon.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Beulah M. Fagel, 85
Beulah M. Fagel, 85, Greensburg, died at 1:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Greensburg.
born March 18, 1918, her mother was Ellen Land Miers.
She married Roscoe Fagel on Aug. 23, 1947.
He preceded her in death Dec. 29, 1980.
Mrs. Fagel lived most of her life in Shelby County.
She was a baker at Stories Restaurant in Greensburg and a former employer at Cambridge Inn in Shelbyville.
Survivors are one daughter, Ruby (Ronnie) Mathews of Greensburg; four sons, Roscoe Dale Fagel of St. Paul, Carl Fagel of Adams, Ronald Jolliff of Nicholasville, Ky., and Ralph Jolliff of Hartsville; and eight grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother and one brother.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Glenn E. George Funeral Home in St. Paul with the Rev. Mike Layne officiating.
Burial will follow in Paul Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Hazel B. Fletcher, 81, Oshkosh, Wisconsin
Hazel B. Fletcher, 81, Oshkosh, Wisconsin, died on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003 at Park View Heath Center in Oshkosh.
born on Oct. 22, 1922 in Belspring, Virginia to the late William and Lydian (Long) Bland.
She married Wade Fletcher on June 22, 1942 and he preceded her in death.
Hazel was a graduate of Radford College in Virginia.
She was a teacher for many years retiring from Lewton School in Dayton.
She was a member of the Navy Mothers Club of America.
Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting and cross-stitch.
She is survived by a son, Douglas Fletcher of Indiana; a granddaughter, Jennifer (Bryon) Taylor of Greensburg; two grandsons, Keith and Kevin Fletcher of Indiana; two great-great-granddaughters; a niece, Julie Schwipps of Greensburg; a brother-in-law, Eugene Fields of Greensburg and a special friend, Kandi Zarling of Omro, Wisconsin.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a husband, a son, William Joseph Fletcher and a sister, Judy Fields.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 29 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Milan.

August J. “Gus” Spreckelson, 91, Greensburg
August J. “Gus” Spreckelson, 91, Greensburg, died at 10:20 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, 2003 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Greensburg.
born Nov. 7, 1912, he was the son of Louis Spreckelson and Minnie Hadler Spreckelson.
He married Martha Louise Larrison on Dec. 15, 1934 in Cincinnati, OH and she survives.
He was a grain and livestock farmer and Decatur County and also Decatur County ASCS Field Measuring inspector for many years.
He was also a member of the Smyrna Lutheran Church and attended New Point School
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Ronald (Barbara) Spreckelson of Greensburg; a daughter, Joan Hall of Greensburg; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Spreckelson and twin grandsons Tim and Jim Gosnell.
Funeral service is at 1:30 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Ronald Haseley officiating.
Burial will follow in South Park Cemetery in Greensburg.
Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
