Ardith Jeannine Tetherow, 74, of Mechanicsburg, Pa., died Friday April 30, 2004 in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Twp., Pa. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Greensburg; Harrisburg Bridge Club; Welcome Wagon; and Psi Iota Xi, Greensburg. She is survived by a sister, Teas and Karen Lusk of Columbus. A memorial service took place today in Bethany Village Chapel, Mechanicsburg. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Wood Lake, on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to Diabetes Assoc.. of Pennsylvania, 3544 N. Progress Ave. Suite 202, Harrisburg, Pa., 17110. Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, New Cumberland, Pa., handled arrangements.

Christopher John Shuter, 33, Westport, died at 5:56 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2004 at Bloomington Hospital in Bloomington.
born May 23, 1970 in Columbus, he was the son of Edward L. and Sara J. (Porter) Shuter.
A former Bloomington resident, he was raised in Westport and graduated from South Decatur High School in 1988.
Besides his parents, he is survived by a son, Seth Shuter of Whitestown; a daughter Kaylie Shuter of Whitestown; a sister, Tori (Mike) Powers of Westport; brothers, Matthew (Jenni) Shuter of Columbus and Jeremy Shuter of Bardstown, Ky.; paternal grandfather, Loren Shuter of Aurora; six aunts and an uncle.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Christine Shuter; maternal grandparents, John and Roxana Porter; an uncle, Jon Porter and a cousin, Kevin Schreiner.
Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday in Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. with Revs. Jon Porter and David A. Scaggs. Burial will follow in Westport Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Trinity Episcopal Church at 111 South Grant Street in Bloomington with Revs. Shawn Schreiner and Linda Johnson officiating with a reception following the service.
Memorials may be made to the Kaylie and Seth Shuter Trust Fund through the funeral home.

Fredrick “Fred” Morrow, 62, North Vernon
Fredrick “Fred” Morrow, 62, North Vernon, died at 8:05 a.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at Jennings County Hospital.
born April 2, 1942 in Wayne County, Ky., he was the son of Robert C. Morrow and Edna Hughes. He married Cathy Shanks on April 5, 1980. She survives.
Retired from Napoleon Hardwood Co., he loved playing bluegrass music, fishing and bird-watching.
Besides his wife, he is survived by children Janet Wright of Clifford, Norma McClain of Edinburgh, Fred, Amelia and Amanda Morrow, all of North Vernon, Jason Morrow of Shelbyville, Elizabeth Kennedy of Warsaw, Kevin Morrow of Greensburg, Theresa Beck of Seymour, Fredrick Morrow of Borden and Hannah Morrow of North Vernon; brothers, Elmer Morrow of Osgood, Roger Morrow and Coy Morrow, both of Greensburg; a sister, Carolyn England of Greensburg, 24 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Lou Morrow.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Norman Funeral Home in Hope. Funeral service is at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mt. Aerie Cemetery in Letts.
Lois S. Oliger, 94, Greensburg
Lois S. Oliger, 94, Greensburg, died Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg.
born July 18, 1909 in Richmond, Ky., she was the daughter of Edward L. and Leona E. (Berry) Schan. She was married first to Charles M. Lind on Dec. 2, 1942. He preceded her in death in 1957. She married Robert W. Oliger on April 3, 1963. He preceded her in death in 1994.
A homemaker, she was a member of the United Methodist Church and a member of the Martha Circle at the Church. She was also a member of the Epsilon Chapter of Psi Iota Xi.
She is survived by a sister, Martha Jean Schan of Jeffersonville; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Oliger and Marie Oliger of Greensburg; several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great- nephews.
Besides her parents and both husbands, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sue S. Steven.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 1 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Greensburg with Rev. Charles Wilfong officiating. Internment will be held in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.

Madeline E. “Molly” Schultz, 72, Batesville, died Saturday, April 24, 2004 at her residence. Burial will be in the Batesville United Methodist Cemetery. The family requests memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Weigel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Joseph A. Stein, Sr., 85, Oldenburg
Joseph A. Stein, Sr., 85, Oldenburg, died Saturday, April 24, 2004 at Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville.
born March 27, 1919 in Batesville, he was the son of Anthony and Mae (Nee: Ortman) Stein. He married Henrietta Werner on Nov. 20, 1941 at holy Family Church in Oldenburg and she survives.
A farmer, he worked as a carpenter for the Fasbinder Company for 25 years and maintenance for Hillenbrand Industries for 17 years before retiring. He was a member of the Holy Family Church and served on the New Horizons Board of Directors, the Ray Township Advisory Board, the Future Farmers of American Advisory Board and was a 4-H leader for 25 years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Jane Bohman of Robinson, Ill., Janet Deller of Osgood, Edith Stein of Oldenburg and Esther Winters of Lynchburg, Virginia; two sons, Joseph Stein, Jr. of Greensburg and James Stein of Frankenmuth, Mich.; a brother, Bill Stein of Batesville; thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Greg Bohman.
Funeral service is at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Church with Rev. John Turnbull, O.F.M. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Weigel Funeral Home in Batesville. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m.
Memorials may be made to New Horizons or the J. Michael Hansen Oncology Center.

Ruth Evelyn Ponsler, 82, North Vernon, died at 3:50 a.m. Sunday, April 25, 2004 at Jennings Health Care Center at North Vernon. Funeral service is at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. Burial will follow in Rockcreek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the New Bethel Methodist Church, Sardinia Baptist Church or Zenas Baptist Church.
Iris A. Bridges, 96, Shelbyville
Iris A. Bridges, 96, Shelbyville (formerly of Elwood), died Friday, April 23, 2004 at Waldron Healthcare Center in Waldron.
born Sept. 13, 1907 in Letts, she was the daughter of Charles and Mary (Purvis) Whipple. She married Harry M. Bridges in 1924 and he preceded her in death on July 24, 1952.
She worked for 19 years as a secretary in the Elwood Community School Corporation retiring in 1975. She then worked for two years for the City of Elwood. She was a member of the East Main Street Christian Church in Elwood and was a volunteer at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood for 13 years, the Madison County Retired Teachers Association, the Order of Eastern Star in Elwood, the Elwood 50-Plus Club and Treasurer of the Republican Women’s Club. She was well known for throwing the first ball for 33 years at the Harry Bridges Little League in Elwood which was named in memory of her husband. She moved to Greensburg in 1999 to be closer to her family.
She is survived by four nephews, Robert Tillison of Manilla, John Tillison of Shelbyville, Tom Tillison of Greensburg and Donald Whipple of Greensburg and a niece, Mary Ann (Tillison) Hornsby of Manilla.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne Whipple and Marle Whipple; a sister, Bernice Tillison and a son who died in infancy.
Funeral service is at 12 p.m. Tuesday at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home, 415 S. Anderson St. in Elwood with Rev. Roger Gardner of the East Main Street Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Mounty Aerie Cemetery in Letts where Rev. David Scaggs of the Westport Baptist Church will conduct the committal service. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Harry M. Bridges Little League Program.
