Services for Glenda K. Banter, 64, of Walton formerly of Georgetown will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 10, 2008 at Marocco Funeral Chapel in Logansport.
She died at 11:45 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at her residence.
Born on June 15, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Von and Viola (Webb) Banter.
Glenda attended Sunrise Worship Center in Galveston, she was a member of the Logansport Eagles Ladies Aux., she enjoyed crocheting, painting, decorating cakes, nature and reading her daily devotions. Glenda also loved spending time with her family and friends.
She formerly worked at Mr. Happy Burger East and was also a Homemaker.
Survivors include, daughters, Christina McHenry-Dunn and fiancé, Pablo Toledo of Kokomo, Loretta Vitello and husband Chris of Logansport and Karen Smith and husband Virgil of Kokomo, sons, Fred Welsh of Logansport and Bill Welsh of South Carolina, sisters, Nina Ralston of Walton, Juanita Reed and husband George of Logansport, Mary Downing of Idaville, Peggy Jagger and husband Bob of Deer Creek and Norma Horton of Walton, brothers, Danny Banter and wife Brenda and Jeff Banter both of Logansport, 14 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Glenda is also survived by her beloved dog, G.G.
She was also preceded in death by son, Larry Welsh and brothers, Rickey and William Banter.

Wilma Green

Services for Wilma Green, 77, of Logansport will be held at 12 noon, Monday, September 29, 2008 at Marocco Funeral Chapel.
She passed away at 7:32 p.m., September 24, 2008 at Millers Merry Manor, Logansport.
Born May 31, 1931 in Paoli, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late James and Molly (Ridge) Farris. In December of 1957 she was married to Forrest Josiah Eiler, and he preceded her in death in 1975.
She was a graduate of Delphi High School. Wilma formerly worked as a cook at the Captain Logan Hotel, Deckers Restaurant, Truckers Paradise and White House Restaurant and also formerly worked at the Salvation Army. She was an avid sports fan and regularly volunteered at the election polls.
Surviving are one son, Ed Eiler & his wife, Susan of Delphi, 2 daughters, Glenda Powell & her husband, Greg of Lebonon, and Karen Johnson & her husband, Larry of Logansport, 2 brothers, Frank Farris & his wife, Betty of Pittsboro and Gary Farris & his wife, Linda of Logansport, 4 sisters, Evelyn Hettinger, Alice Shaffer, Ruth Shaffer all of Logansport and Ivy Smith of Florida. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, Michael, Krista and Ryan Eiler of Delphi, Amy Johnson of Logansport and James "Jake" Woodward of Lebonon, 4 Step Grandchildren, Troy Powell, Alicia and Ryan Coffman, all of Lebonon and Lee Powell & his wife, Stephanie of Kokomo, 2 Step Great Grandchildren, Joseph and Kalib Abreach, and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Bill Farris.

He passed away at 3:05 p.m., Monday, September 15, 2008 at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born September 26, 2005 in Logansport, he was the son of Juan Pascual and Maria Castelan.
He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church.
Survivors include, Mother, Maria Castelan (Diego Baltazar) and Father, Juan Pascual, Brother, Yobani Castelan, sister, Brenda Ana Castelan, Paternal Grandmother, Ana Mateo (Bartolome Gaspar) all of Logansport, Maternal Grandmother, Hijinia Castro Mendez and Maternal Grandfather, Jose Lus Castelan Hernades all of Mexico. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Paul Donahue

A Mass of Christian Burial for Paul Donahue, 77, of Logansport will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008 at All Saints Catholic Church.
He passed away on Monday, September 8, 2008 at St. Vincents Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born on June 29, 1931 in Logansport, he was the son the late Paul and Carrie (Smith) Donahue. On June 2, 1956 he married Madalyne Firmani at St. Vincents Catholic Church in Logansport, she survives.
Paul was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, he was a former movie projectionist for the local theatres and he retired from Cox Communications, Inc.
He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, he was also an avid Notre Dame Football Fan and he enjoyed music, photography, history and fishing. Paul also loved watching Mass at midnight on EWTN.
Survivors include his wife, Madalyne Donahue of Logansport, daughters, Pauletta Scagnoli and husband Al and Annette Goehring and husband Greg both of Ft. Wayne and Michele Donahue of Logansport, Grandchildren, Brandon Scagnoli and wife Susan, Alisa and Christopher Scagnoli, Kevin and Kyle Goehring all of Ft. Wayne and Patrick J. Kleckner of Logansport, great granddaughters, Josephine, Isabella and Madeline Scagnoli. He is also survived by several nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Rose Marie Huffman and half sister, Leona O’Donnell.

Born on September 11, 1973 in Porterville, California, he was the son of Herman and Louise (Lopez) Cabeje.
Michael was a registered nurse, a member of All Saints Catholic Church and he enjoyed baking, cooking and watching movies.
Survivors include his parents, Herman, Sr. and Louise Cabeje of Porterville, California, brothers, Jimmy Cabeje and his wife Maria of Porterville, California and Herman Cabeje, Jr. of Chicago, sister, Evangeline Brown of Port Orange, Florida, maternal grandfather, Henry Lopez, of Lemoore, California and maternal grandmother, Anita Solorzano of Madera, California. He was also cared for by Humberto Martinez of Logansport, who was like a brother to Michael.

She died at 12:52 a.m., Monday, September 1, 2008 in Jewish Hospital, Louisville, Kentucky.
Born July 7, 1959 in Logansport, she was the daughter of Everett Wilson and Billie (Wallace) Hitchens.
Debra was a former Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Qualified Medical Assistant (QMA) for Millers Merry Manor and Chase Center in Logansport. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her lifetime companion, Daniel Good, Sr., of West Paducah, Kentucky, her mother, Billie J. Hitchens & her husband, Earl, and father, Everett Wilson & his wife, Bonnie, all of Logansport, 3 daughters, Misty Modrow & her husband, Marty, and Stacy Frye & her husband, Donny, both of Kentucky, and Michelle Good, Logansport, 1 son, Daniel Good, Jr., Logansport, 4 brothers, James Wilson & his wife, Sheadale, of Steel, Missouri, Harold Wilson of Corpus Christie, Texas, Kenneth Musall and Jeffrey Musall & his wife, Lori, both of Logansport, 3 sisters, Theressia Roland & her husband, Ken, Billie Duford, both of Logansport and Donna Brown, Calene, Texas. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren.

Merl "Dean" Wall

Memorial Services with Military Rites will be performed for Merl “Dean” Wall, 68, of Logansport at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at Cross Wind United Methodist Church in Logansport.
He passed away at 10:30 p.m. Sunday, August 31, 2008 at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born May 4, 1940 in Kosciusko County, Indiana, he was the son of Carl and Helen (Biddle) Wall. On November 18, 1967 he married Carol Turnpaugh, she survives.
He was a Winamac High School Graduate, a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of American Legion #60, VFW #3790, Logansport Masonic Lodge F&AM #33 and the Logansport Shrine Club who will have a walk through at the service. Dean also enjoyed making wooden scroll saw items for over fifteen years.
Dean retired from Wilson’s Meat Packing and he also formerly worked at Plymouth Tube and Arone Hardware.
Survivors include his wife Carol Wall of Logansport, mother, Helen Beyer of Logansport, daughters, Kim Rush of Logansport and Edwina Janson and husband Bill of Monticello, step son, Chris Gwin and step daughters, Karen Landrum and Karla Murray all of Logansport, brothers, David Wall and wife Marcie of Ft. Wayne and John Wall and wife Phyllis of Ocala, Florida, sisters, Gladys Knebal and husband George of Winamac and Edwina Ploss and husband Rich of Star City, 6 Grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl.

He passed away at 3:55 a.m., Saturday, August 30, 2008 at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born on January 8, 1923 in Cass County, he was the son of the late Paul C. and Eleanor (Bauer) Spitznogle. On February 12, 1946 he married Mary Alice Pinder at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Lucerne, she survives.
Cletus was a Washington Twp. High School Graduate, a WWII Army Veteran and a member of All Saint’s Catholic Church. He was a lifelong farmer who enjoyed square dancing, gardening, cutting wood and traveling.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Alice Spitznogle of Logansport, 3 daughters, Christine A. Toole of Kokomo, Susan L. Strait and husband Dennis of Olathe, Kansas and Judi M. Lucas and husband Rick of Walton, 2 sons, Felix M. Spitznogle of Antioch, Illinois and Leo A. Spitznogle and wife Luci of Logansport, 2 sisters, Gertrude Woolever and Lucille Stephenson of Logansport, 1 brother, John Spitznogle of Lebanon, Grandchildren, Angie, Niki, Gretchen, Stacey, Travis, Alissa, Jessica, Tom, Nina, Brandi, Rachel and Nathan, 16 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Patricia Spitznogle, son, Ralph Spitznogle, sisters, Eleanor Ziegler, Bernadine Greig and Joan Shepler, brothers, Felix and Joseph Spitznogle and son- in- law, Joe Toole.

Born April 6, 1929 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late George and Hazel (Grove) Albright.
Evelyn was a 1947 Royal Center High School Graduate. She retired from White Rogers, Inc. in Logansport and she was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and of the RBM Club. She also enjoyed crocheting.
Survivors include two sons, Paul R. Lind and his wife Tina of Circleville, Ohio and Ronald J. Lind and his wife Kathy of Lafayette, 1 daughter, Joyce M. Gibbs and her husband Harry of Logansport, 1 brother, John Albright of Logansport, 1 sister, Mary Gaines of Frankfort, 7 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Donald, Chester, Carl, Robert and Frank Albright and sisters, Margaret Artrip, Helen Bowen and Ellen Albright.

He passed away at 3:00 a.m. Wednesday August 20, 2008 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born on Feb. 16, 1931, he was the son of the late Merritt A. and Marguerite (Hopphan) Gillum. On Feb. 5, 1954 he married Judy G. Peterson, she survives.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Japan during the Korean Conflict.
Don retired from Hamilton-Standard in Logansport and was also a retired Correction’s Officer from the Cass County Sheriff’s Dept. He was an avid Cub’s fan and he also enjoyed fishing and golfing.
Survivors include his wife Judy G. Gillum of Logansport, 2 sons, Dana J. Gillum and his wife Melinda of Camden and Peter J. Gillum of Aurora, Illinois, 5 Grandchildren, Brent Gillum and his wife Angela, Kimla Gillum, Cody Valdez and Devon Gillum and his wife Lora and Shannon Gillum and 5 Great Grandchildren, Julia, Halee, Ty, Bradley and Alexis Gillum. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, William Gillum and 1 sister, Sue Gillum.

Frances Louise Asher

She died at 9:05 p.m. Monday August 18, 2008 at the Northern Indiana Veterans Hospital in Marion.
Born Sept. 16, 1919 in Sioux City, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late F.L. and Josephine (Manchester) Smith.
Frances was a nurse for the U.S. Navy during WWII. She was also a retired nurse from the Logansport State Hospital and Four County Counseling Center.
She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church.
Frances is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister.
Burial with Full Military Rites will be conducted at Ever Rest Memorial Park.
Deloris J. Birnell

Services for Deloris J. Birnell, 71, of Logansport will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday August 20 ,2008 at Marocco Funeral Chapel in Logansport.
She died at 6:38 p.m. Saturday August 16, 2008 at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born Sept. 13, 1936 in Terre Haute, she was the daughter of the late Sidney and Peggy (Adams) Muir. She was married in 1954 in Logansport to Albert F. "Snork" Birnell, he preceded her in death in 1971.
Deloris was a 1956 Graduate of Clinton High School. A homemaker and who was formerly employed as a a waitress at Trucker's Paradise.
Survivors include three son, Robert Birnell of Plainfield, Albert Birnell and his wife Debra and Steven Birnell and his wife Jamie all of Logansport, three daughters, Elnora Birnell and Barbara Fry both of Logansport, and Julie Clear and her husband Don of Cleveland, Tenn, 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, four brothers, Gary Muir and Sidney Muir and his wife Carolyn all of Cleveland, Tenn., Darrell Muir and his wife Rosemary of Walton and Russell Muir and his wife Nancy of Kewanna, one sister, Katherine Miller of Warsaw.
One brother , Robert is preceded in death.
