Rev. Eula E. Kennedy, 96, Shelbyville

Rev. Eula E. Kennedy, 96, of Shelbyville, formerly of Greensburg, died at 2:42 a.m. Monday, March 15, 2004 in Major Hospital, Shelbyville.

Rev. Kennedy was born Feb. 3, 1908, in Lawrenceburg, the daughter of the Rev. John and Lena (McHenry) Kennedy. She graduated from Lawrenceburg High School in 1925. She was a member of the Bible Holiness Church in Shelbyville. She was a pastor for more than 36 years in the Southern Indiana District of the Wesleyan Church, serving in Clarksburg, Lawrenceburg, Seymour and Rising Sun, retiring in 1973.

She is survived by several cousins and a close friend/co-worker, Rose Ellen Swango of Shelbyville. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services are today, 1:30 p.m., at Gillaland-Howe Funeral Home, Greensburg, Pastor Joseph Smith officiating. Burial will be in South Park Cemetery.

Rosalie L. Reynolds, 96, of Knoxville, Tenn.

Rosalie L. Reynolds, 96, of Knoxville, Tenn., died March 12, 2004 in Knoxville.

Rosalie was born May 26, 1926 in Knoxville.

She worked in Greensburg at the Randall Co., from 1973-1985, when she quit to become a homemaker. Among her survivors is a daughter, Patricia Beatrice Weber of Napoleon and a granddaughter, Kera Reynolds of Greensburg. Services and visitation were in Knoxville.

Viola M. Kramer, 84, Rushville

Viola M. Kramer, 84, of Rushville, died Monday, March 15, 2004 in Miller’s Merry Manor, Rushville.

Viola was born was born Sept. 19, 1919, in Franklin County, the daughter of Alloy’s and Theresia (Tebbe) Munchel. In 1946, she married William J. Kramer. He died in 1973.

Viola was a homemaker and member of the St. Mary Catholic Church and Solality; Richland Wide Awake Home Economics Club.

She is survived by sons Albert J. (Diane), Delbert A. (Cheryl), Ralph G. and Kenneth W. (Lucy); a brother, William Munchel of Oldenburg; a sister, Mrs. Bernie Vonderheide of Greensburg; nine grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is today, 4-8 p.m. at Todd Funeral Home, Rushville, where a Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary Catholic Church, Rushville, Rev. Leon Reuter officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Rushville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association or any charity.

Kierra Michelle Sizemore, 6, Greensburg

Kierra Michelle Sizemore, 6, Greensburg, died at 11:13 p.m. Sunday, March 14, 2004 at Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg.

born Feb. 24, 1998 in Greensburg, she was the daughter of Michael Sizemore and Sherry Rigby.

Besides her parents, she is survived by grandparents Alfred and Linda Nash of Greensburg, Wayne and Lois Rigby of Greensburg and Marvin Sizemore of Moores Hill; four great-grandparents, Silas Rigby of Napoleon, Nellie Hartwell of Columbus, Winona Hoffman of Greensburg, Aretta Broadus of Greensburg; two sisters, Shaylee Sizemore and Aliyah Sizemore, both of Greensburg; 11 aunts and uncles and 13 cousins.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday in Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral service is at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Browning officiating. Burial will follow in South Park Cemetery in Greensburg.

Edna C. Ford, 86, North Vernon

Edna C. Ford, 86, North Vernon, died at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2004 at Odd Fellows Nursing Home in Greensburg.

born Jan. 21, 1918 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Ira E. and Bertha A. (Yeager) Jordan.

She married Ralph L. Ford on April 1, 1939 in Vernon. He survives.

A graduate of Zenas High School, she was raised in Jennings County and has lived there most of her life. She was also a member of the Westport Wesleyan Church.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Wayne L. Ford of North Vernon; a sister, Emily Christian of Phoenix and a brother, Glen Jordan of North Vernon.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Irene Ford; two sisters, Bessie Holcomb and Laura A. Sutton and a brother, Kenneth Jordan.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport. Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Westport Wesleyan Church with Rev. Paul Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Rockcreek Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Gideon Memorial Bible Program.

Donald Phillips, 78, Milroy

Donald Phillips, 78, Milroy, died Friday, March 12, 2004 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

born Sept. 1, 1925 in Greensburg, he was the son of Theodore Phillips and Nellie Herbert. He married Dorothy Adkins on June 25, 1954. She survives.

He had lived in the Milroy area since 1957 and retired from Philco-Ford in 1988, after 40 years as a Heliarc Welder. He was a member of the Big Flatrock Christian Church and (during the ’50s and ’60s) had been a Boy Scout leader in Milroy. He was also a member of the Milroy Masonic Lodge. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, in which he was a Prisoner of War, and also served in Korea.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a sister, Phyllis Moody of Connersville and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom and James Phillips and a half brother, Robert Hummell.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Moster & Cox Mortuary in Rushville.

Masonic Services will be given will be given by the Milroy Masonic Lodge at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Funeral service at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary with Revs. Richard T. Merriman and Rebecca. Gibbons officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington East Hill Cemetery. Military graveside services will be given by the Rush County Veterans Honour Guard

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Association and the Ruth Lilly Hospice at the Methodist Hospital.

Lillian L. Warren, 63, Greensburg

Lillian L. Warren, 63, Greensburg, died Saturday, March 13, 2004 at Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg.

born April 24, 1940, she was the daughter of Roosevelt Ledford and Birdina (Smith) Ledford of Greensburg.

She married Billy E. Warren, Sr. on Aug. 5, 1961. He survives.

A former supervisor at Heritage House in Greensburg, she worked with submitting flowers in the open class section at the Decatur County 4-H Fair each year, receiving a Reserve Grand Champion along with many other Blue Ribbons over the years in the Summer Horticultural program.

Besides her mother and husband, she is survived by two sons, Billy E. Warren, Jr. and Danny (Laurie) Warren, both of Greensburg; a daughter, Melissa Ann (Joe) Wolter of Greensburg; a brother, Ronald Garcia (Katie) Ledford of Greensburg; a sister, Charlotte (John) Terrell of Underwood and 12 grandchildren.

Besides her father, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Melanie Barlowski and a sister, Louise Melton.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. service time Tuesday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. Mike Cunnington officiating. Burial will follow in South Park Cemetery in Greensburg.

Donna Jean Dillard, 66

Donna Jean Dillard, 66, St. Paul, died on Thursday, March 11, 2004.

born Aug. 10, 1937 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Albert Hopkins and Myrtle Buckingham. Both preceded her in death.

She was employed with R.C.A. Corp. from 1966 until the plant closed in 1988. She then worked for Randal Textron from 1992-1993, WalMart in 1993, Overhead Door from 1993-1995 and NTN from May 3, 1995-Nov. 7, 2003.

She was married to Thurman E. Dillard on July 12, 1961. He preceded his wife in death on July 14, 1992.

She was an Arsenal Tech High School graduate and was a beanie bear collector. Dillard also loved to cook.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dean (Vickie) Rayburn, Indianapolis; Mrs. John (Connie) Siebenthal, Whiteland; four sons, Gary (Carolyn) Richardson, Greenwood; Duane (Tammie) Dillard, Fairland; Kevin (Elaine) Richardson, Pendleton; Brian (Michelle) Dillard, Indianapolis; one step-son, Larrie (Ruthanne) Dillard, St. Paul; six granddaughters, Katelyn Dillard, Jennifer Richardson, Amanda Kleyn, Amy Lowery, Adrienne Richardson, Niki Dillard; one step-granddaughter, Melanie Canter; five grandsons, Brian Richardson, Mike Kleyn, Joshua Rayburn, Kevin Richardson, Vince Dillard; one step-grandson Larrie Dillard; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. Sunday at Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with pastor Wayne Murray officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the South Central Hospice of Indiana - Decatur County.

Robert E. Brown, 81

Robert E. Brown, 81, Waldron, died Thursday, March 11, 2004 at his residence. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home. Funeral service is at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Van Pelt Cemetery. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Hospice of Shelby County.
