Edith Elizabeth Marie Jenkins
Edith Elizabeth Marie (Hamilton) Jenkins, age 84, of Madison, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Norton’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
born April 10, 1928 in Madison, Indiana, she was the daughter of Crawford and Della H. (Hamilton) Hamilton, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband; Joseph H. Jenkins whom she married on November 15, 1943 and who passed away on June 24, 1995; one brother, Crawford Hamilton; one great-grandson, Kyle Wingham on June 21, 2004 and her aunt, Lula Handlon who helped raise her.
Mrs. Jenkins during World War II worked at a filling station changing oil. She later worked at the former Conn Organ Company for five years and she was a homemaker and caregiver. She enjoyed crafts, cooking, gardening and she helped in the construction of her house. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the American Legion Post #9 Women’s Auxiliary. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty L. Wingham Moody and her husband, Buford and Sharon M. Jenkins both of Madison; one son, William J. Jenkins and his wife, Carolyn of Madison; four grandchildren, Gary Wingham, Randy Wingham Gregory B. Wingham and his wife, Jennifer and Craig W. Banta and his wife, Samantha; five great-grandchildren, Sophia Banta, Ryan Wells, Blake Barclay Wingham, Ashley Wingham and Chelsey Wingham and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rev. Brian Teater will conduct graveside services at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Springdale Cemetery with Interment to follow.
Private family visitation will be held at the Vail-Holt Funeral & Cremation Service, 117 Holt Drive.
Kimberly Jean (Knox) Stoner
Kimberly Jean (Knox) Stoner, age 52, of Madison, passed away Monday, January 14, 2013 at the residence of her parents.
born August 3, 1960 in Carrollton, Kentucky, she was the daughter of David Larry Knox and Martha (Scott) Knox Light. She was preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include one daughter, Billie Jean Stoner of Madison; two sons, Travis Stoner of New Washington, IN and Christopher Stoner of Madison; her parents, Russell and Martha (Scott) Light of Lexington, IN; two sisters, Kelleen J. Brannon and Hallie Knox both of Madison; two brothers, Ty Knox of Pennsylvania and Josh Knox of Madison; four grandchildren, Zoey, Cameron, Zachary and Dominic; several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Lindsey Knox and one great-nephew, Russell Bouchard.
Family and friends may call at the Vail-Holt Funeral & Cremation Service, 117 Holt Drive from 11:00 to 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 16, 2013.

Patricia Breitenbach
Patricia J. Breitenbach, age 85, of Madison, Passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the Hickory Creek of Madison.
born June 13, 1927 in Madison, Indiana, she was the daughter of Charles and Mary Frances (Krue) Breitenbach, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ann L. Breitenbach and Mary M. Breitenbach; two brothers, Joseph Breitenbach and Richard Breitenbach and a brother-in-law, Wayne Brown.
She was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church and was active in the Republican Party, where she formerly served as Precinct Committee Chairperson for several years. When she was younger she loved to fish and play softball at Kiwanis Park. Pat and her sister, Ann enjoyed making wine for everybody to enjoy.
Survivors include one sister, Rosalia "Sally" Brown of Madison; a life-long friend and care-giver, Dolores C. Hellmann of Madison; one sister-in-law, Aliene Breitenbach of Madison; nieces and newphews, Mary Jane Bayne and her husband Tom; Rita L. McKay and her husband, David; Paula Hartman and her husband, Paul; Robert Breitenbach and his wife, Sandy; Tim Breitenbach and his wife, Peggy; great-nieces and nephews. Gretchen Cliburn and her husband, Matt, Sarah Bayne, Zachary Bayne, Derrick Breitenbach, Chelsea Breitenbach, Madeline Hartman and Katie Rose Hartman.
Memorial Mass will be conducted by Father Christopher Craig at 1:00 P.M Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 413 East Second Street in downtown Madison with Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Donald Franklin Milholland
Donald Franklin Milholland, age 80 of Madison, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Hanover Health and Rehabilitation.
born July 11, 1932 in Columbus, Indiana, he was the son of Ralph Glenn and Gladys Alma (Waterman) Milholland who preceded him in death.
Mr. Milholland was a mail carrier for the US Postal Service retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Green Road Baptist Church and the American Legion Post #9. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, playing softball, gun and coin collecting. He was an Indiana basketball fan and his greatest joys in life were his grandchildren. Mr. Milholland was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict and his military decorations included, the UN Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean (McDole) Milholland whom he married on August 29, 1959; one daughter, Donalee Susnick and her husband, Will of Brownstown, IN; one brother, Philip Milholland of Scipio, IN; two grandchildren, Travis Gibson of Madison and Brittany Gibson and her fiancé, Kevin Barker of Lexington, IN; one great-granddaughter, Lexis Barker of Lexington, IN and several nieces and nephews.
Rev. Richard McDole will conduct funeral services at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the Vail-Holt Funeral & Cremation Service, 117 Holt Drive with Interment in Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

A final salute will be conducted on Thursday following the service by the Honor Guard of the American Legion Post #9. Full military honors will follow at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Kenneth Wayne Johnson
Kenneth Wayne Johnson, age 47 of Madison, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Hanover Health and Rehabilitation.
born February 21, 1965 in Madison, Indiana, he was the son of Frank T. and Wanda (Burchfield) Fraley who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by one brother, and two uncles.
Mr. Johnson was a cook having worked at the Moose Lodge Family Center, Hanover College and the Jewel House. He was a member of the St. John’s United Church of Christ and the Moose Lodge Family Center #765.
Survivors include two brothers, David Johnson and his wife, Priscilla of Madison and Joe Johnson and his wife, Janice of Hanover; one aunt, Nettie Coy and her husband, Harold of Madison; two uncles, Russell Burchfield of Georgia and Jerry Burchfield of Kentucky and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial graveside service will be held at a later date in Moffett Cemetery.

Mary C. (Stuart) Conway
Mary C. (Stuart) Conaway, age 84, of Madison, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the Waters of Clifty Falls.
born April 27, 1928 in Brooksburg, Indiana, she was the daughter of Lauder and Christy Mae (Washburn) Stuart, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Mike Conaway and Rodger Stuart; one sister, Eleanor Hopper and one brother, George Stuart.
Mrs. Conaway worked in food service at the former Fiesta Restaurant, Hinkle’s Restaurant and the former Madison Country Club. She attended the Salvation Army and was a 1946 graduate of North Madison High School. She enjoyed gardening, reading, Bingo and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include two daughters, Kimberly Fields and her husband, Dock of Scipio, IN and Brenda J. Kelly and her husband, Sam of Hanover; three sons, Charles Richard “Chuck” Conaway, Stephen Wayne Conaway and Billy Conaway all of Madison; one sister, Jean Ritchey of Madison; two brothers, Roy Dale Stuart of Lexington, IN and William Allen Stuart of Madison; one grandson, Jason Lock; two granddaughters, Amy Augustin and Ginger Hernandez; one great-grandson, Matthew Hernandez and several nieces and nephews.
Elaine Raymer will conduct funeral services at 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 15, 2013 at the Vail-Holt Funeral & Cremation Service, 117 Holt Drive with Interment in Fairmount Cemetery.

Evelyn Jean (Fields) Moore
Evelyn Jean (Fields) Moore, age 64, of Madison, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 at her residence.
born August 25, 1948 in Scottsburg, Indiana, she was the daughter of John Wilbur and Doris Evelyn (Larrison) Fields, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Moore whom she married on December 19, 1970 and who passed away on December 15, 1976.
Mrs. Moore was a retired psychiatric attendant from the Madison State Hospital and had previously worked in the food service department at Hanover College and at the Log Cabin Inn in Hanover. She was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Billie Jean Augustin and her husband, Roy of Madison; one grandson, Devin Augustin of Madison; two step-sons, Eric Moore of Walters, OK and Mark Moore of Phoenix City, AL; four sisters, Tammy Fields, Peggy Madden and Debbie Cloyd all of Hanover and Robin Gunter of Madison; one brother, Chip Craig of Deputy; a companion, Jack Mundt of Madison and several nieces and nephews.
Pastor Steve Harold will conduct funeral services at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the Vail-Holt Funeral & Cremation Service, 117 Holt Drive with Interment in Holton Cemetery in Holton, Indiana.
