Dennis “Jim” Walker, age 66 of W. Harrison, IN passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2005 in Lawrenceburg, IN.

born February 12, 1939 in Cincinnati, OH he was the son of Clifford Coram & Emma Jo (Padgett) Walker.

Mr. Walker is survived by his daughters Rosemary Adams, Denis Manis, Emma Getz & Venus Walker, grandchildren Andrew Adams, P.J. & Kyle Manis, Falisha Getz & David Willig; great grandchildren Wesley & A.J.A. Adams; siblings Tommy Walker, David Walker, Clifford G. Walker, Jackie Craft, Lois Feltner, Wanda Sizemore & Vickie Luckadoo and live in companion Debbie Chandler.

Visitation will be Friday, April 8, 2005 from 6-8 PM followed by services at 8:00 PM all at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family.

John Edward Yarber

John Edward Yarber of Batesville, Indiana passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville at 74 years of age. He was born on January 21, 1931 in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. He was the son of Clell and Florence (Wells) Yarber and J.C. and Mary Peach (Wells) Stacy.

John earned his Bachelor of Science Degree and Master’s Degree from Morehead State University. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. A retired teacher of 35 years, John taught high school biology, physical science and driver’s education. He taught twenty-seven years in Batesville, where he also enjoyed being the timekeeper for basketball and football for many years. Early in his career, he coached basketball and track.

John was a member of the F.O.P., Masons, past-president of the Lion’s Club and Delta Sigma Fraternity. He was a passionate U.K. basketball fan and an avid fisherman. Other pleasures were camping, horseback riding, card playing, new technologies, coin collecting and listening to all types of music. He was a devoted husband a loving caring father and papaw.

Survivors include his wife Opal Vise Yarber, whom he married on June 3, 1959 at Ringos Mills, KY, one son, Jeffery Stacy (Jill) Yarber of Indianapolis, one daughter, Julie (Dale) Lambert of Batesville, two granddaughters, Cassie and Whitney Lambert, one sister, Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Malia and numerous nieces and nephews of Atlantic City, NJ and many wonderful friends.

Visitation, Sunday, April 3, 2005 from 1-4pm at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN. Funeral Service, Monday, April 4, 2005, 10:00am at the Batesville United Methodist Church. Burial at 4:30pm EDT, in the Hillsboro Cemetery in Hillsboro, KY.

Memorials may be given to the Hansen Cancer Center in Batesville, IN or the Indianapolis Cancer Center.

Dallas Reynolds

Dallas Reynolds, age 66 of Morris, IN passed away Monday, March 28, 2005 at his home.

born December 27, 1938 in Mt. Vernon, KY the son of Herman & Flonnie (Evans) Reynolds. He was a retired fireman from the Rushville Fire Dept., played lead guitar for the Powell Family Singers and lead banjo for the Homeward Bound Blue Grass Band. On July 24, 1984 he married Violet Powell in Florence, KY.

Mr. Reynolds is survived by his wife Florence Reynolds; son Todd Reynolds of Indianapolis, IN; daughters Robin Sizemore and Beth Ann Clark of Batesville, IN and Danielle Reynolds of Morris, IN; step daughter Michele Lattire of Sunman, IN; grandchildren Willie Wallace, Autumn Clark, Elijah Sizemore and Peyton Sizemore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters.

Visitation will be Friday, April 1, 2005 from 5-8 PM at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN. with Rev. Kenneth Bates officiating. Funeral Services will be Saturday, 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Batesville United Methodist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the family.

Christine Pearl Ballou

Christine Pearl Ballou, age 75 of W. Harrison, IN passed away Sat. March 26, 2005 in Cincinnati, OH.

born May 15, 1929 in Stearns, KY the daughter of Robert Lee & Truie (Perry) Neal. She was a homemaker and formerly employed by Queen City Valve and Kopp Turkey Inc. She supported the Bright Fire Department and F.O.P. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in W. Harrison, IN.

She married Glenn Calvin Ballou in Covington, KY on Sept. 13, 1947 and he survives. She is also survived by her son Robert (Sharon) Ballou of Novi, MI; daughters Carol (Late Jimmy) Bledsoe, Geraldine Greco, Patricia (James) Clanton all of W. Harrison, IN; Glenda Faye (Tom) Huegel of Delhi, OH and Debra (Danny) Reeves of Bright, IN; 20 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren; brothers Daniel Neal of Glen Este, OH and Alfred Neal of Moscow, OH. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 great granddaughter and her sister Margaret Worley.

Funeral Services will be Friday, April 1, 2005 at 11:00 AM at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home in Harrison, OH with Rev. Robert Brigmon officiating. Visitation will be Thurs. March 31, 2005 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Gibson Cemetery in Bright, IN. Memorials are suggested to American Lung Assoc. or National Alzheimer’s Assoc. c/o the funeral home.

Malvery Harris, age 70 of W. Harrison, IN passed away Sunday, March 27, 2005 in Cincinnati, OH.

born May 6, 1934 in Manchester, KY the daughter of John & Daisy (Hibbard) Jones. She was a member of the Rt. 46 Pentecostal Church.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her husband Colson Harris, children Johnny (Debbie) Gray, Daisy (Richard) Jenkins, Marie (Bob) Kercheval & Mary Rose (Ottis) Burch; grandchildren K.C. Gray, Malvery Cain, Glenna Corum, Rosann Lone & Robert Kercheval Jr.; great grandchildren Kenneth & Heather Corum and Karenza Gray; brothers Laborn, Joe, Edward and late John Jones and sisters Thelma Henson and late Rosa Patrick.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 30, 2005 from 12 noon-2:00 PM followed by services at 2:00 PM all at Jackman Kercheval Meyers Funeral Home, Harrison, OH with Pastor Walter Dunn officiating. Burial will be in Gibson Mausoleum in Bright, IN. Memorials are suggested to Harrison Life Squad.

James C. Brunemann, age 76 years of Milan, IN formerly of St. Peter, IN passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2005 at his home.

born September 5, 1928 in Cincinnati, OH the son of Robert & Colette (Tasset) Brunemann. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Batesville. He retired from R.B. Brunemann and Sons Inc. On October 28, 1950 he married Joan Schulte in Cincinnati, OH.

Mr. Brunemann is survived by his wife Joan Brunemann, daughters Beverly (Terence) Schwegman of St. Mary, IN; Nancy (Kenneth) Konradi of Batesville, IN and Connie (Richard) Parker of Williamsburg, OH; sons James R. (Mary Lynn) Brunemann of Crescent Springs, KY; Dennie (Joann) Brunemann and Robert (Elsie) Brunemann both of Sunman, IN; 19 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brothers Albert Brunemann of Ft. Myers, FL, Richard & Roy Brunemann both of Bonita Springs, FL. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Robert B. Brunemann.

Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005; 10am - 12 noon followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM all at St. Louis Catholic Church in Batesville, IN with Fr. Daniel Mahan officiating. Burial will be in St. Louis Church Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Ripley Crossing in Milan, IN.

born January 22, 1972 in Batesville, the daughter of Michael S. & Louise “Weasie” (Grooms) Weiler of Batesville, IN. She was a member of St. Louise Catholic Church.

Ms. Weiler is survived by her parents, brother Michael A. Weiler of Batesville, IN; Paternal Grandmother Anna Mae Weiler of Milford, OH and Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, January 11, 2005; 1:30 PM at St. Louis Catholic Church. Visitation will be 11 - 1 PM at Meyers Funeral Home all in Batesville, IN. Burial will be in St. Louis Church Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family.

Mary Virginia Wolters, age 77 years of Batesville, IN passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2005 in Batesville.

born April 29, 1927 in Cincinnati, OH the daughter of Herbert & Loraine (Eisman) Farley. She married Harry Wolters on July 23, 1951 in Cincinnati. and he preceded her in death on March 31, 2001. She and her husband owned and operated Hot Rods and later MaRods Tavern.

Mrs. Wolters is survived by her sons Jim (Jeri) Ward, John (Nancy) Ward, Harry A. (Karin) Wolters, George L. (Linda) Wolters, Bob L. (Anne) Wolters and Rod Wolters; 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, sister Loraine Siefert, and brother Arthur Farley. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers Herbert & Roger Farley.

A private service will be held Saturday, January 8, 2005 with Fr. Daniel Mahan officiating at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN. Burial will be in St. Louis Church Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society.

Verna D. Webb, age 83 years of Twin Oaks, In passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2005 at The Waters of Batesville.

born January 7, 1921 in Dearborn County, IN she was the daughter of the late Fred & Carrie (Richter) Rennemeier. She married Emerson Webb on July 14, 1943 in Mississippi. He preceded her in death on March 20, 1982. She retired from the Milan Furniture Co as a patch worker.

Mrs. Webb is survived by her son Ron Webb of Batesville, IN; daughter Carol Jean (Paul) Webb of Twin Oaks, IN; granddaughters Paula Berryman, Penny Riley & Pamela Frensmeier; 4 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents & husband she was also preceded in death by her son David Webb; brothers Roy & Clarence Rennemeier and sister Selma Rennemeier.

Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 1, 2005 from 3:30-6:30pm at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN. Funeral Services will be Thursday at 6:30pm at the funeral home with Rev. Juanita Wallpe officiating. Burial will be in St. Stephens Cemetery in Spades, IN. Memorials are suggested to donor’s choice.
