Rosalee Caudill
Rosalee Caudill, 73, of Noblesville, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville. She was born on January 19, 1938 to Buster and Mary (Marcum) Ball in St. Charles, Virginia.
Rosalee was a homemaker.
She is survived by sons, Raleigh (Stacie) Caudill of Lafayette, IN and Tony Caudill of VA; daughters, Brenda Lee O'Brien of VA, Trevia (Donnie) Lawson of VA, Edna (Dennis) Boggs of TN, Lorine Woods of VA and Pauline Dillon of VA; sisters, Sharon Toomey, Carlos Nix, Patricia Alley, Brenda Owens, Sandra Robison and Tammy Harman; brothers, Orville Ball, Buster Ball Jr., Benny Ray Ball and David R Ball; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at Crownland Cemetery, 1776 Monument Street, in Noblesville.
Earl Garland Matherly
Earl Garland Matherly, 80, of Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. He was born on April 18, 1931 to John and Lucy (Earls) Matherly in Liberty, Kentucky. Garland & Blanche (Lacey) Matherly were married for 51 wonderful years.
He served his country in the United States National Guard. He was a farmer all his life, and retired from Delco-Remy after 37 years of service.
He is survived by wife, Blanche (Lacey) Matherly; daughter, Amy (Tom) Simpson; brother, Paul (Anna) Matherly; four grandchildren, Denver E. Sampson, Quentin (Amy) Sampson, Chelsea Sampson & Lacey Simpson, and several nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 11 siblings.
Graveside services with military rites will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 9700 Allisonville Rd, in Indianapolis, with Paul Matherly officiating. Following the graveside service the family invites friends to fellowship at Jim Dandy Restaurant, 2301 Conner Street in Noblesville for lunch.

Paul A. Robinson
Paul A. Robinson, 86, of Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. He was born on March 22, 1925 to Frank and Ada (Newell) Robinson in Cicero, Indiana.
Paul worked for Firestone Industrial Products. He was a member of US Navy and a veteran of WWII. Paul enjoyed duck hunting and was a member of Ducks Unlimited; was an avid reader; wrote poetry and short stories; and enjoyed fishing and being with family and friends.
He is survived by wife, Lela M. Robinson of Noblesville; step-son, Dr. William (Jill) Barnes of Noblesville; grandchildren, Bradon (Melissa) Barnes, Missy Barnes, Jeri (Travis) New; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville, with visitation beginning at 9:00 am immediately prior to the service. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
Patricia Logan
Patricia A. Logan, 79, Noblesville, wife of Jack Logan who preceded her in death, passed away on November 5, 2011 at home. She was born on December 6, 1931 to Tony J. and Martha Rose (Lemond) Miller in Highland, IN.
Mrs. Logan was the first female mayor of Noblesville, and the first full-time mayor. She served from 1980 - 1988. She was honored to have received a Sagamore of the Wabash award from Governor Robert Orr. In recent years she volunteered at Riverview Hospital and served on the Riverview Hospital Foundation. She was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church, and Tri Kappa sorority, and served on the founding board of Chaucie’s Place, as well as several civic and charitable organizations close to her heart.
Surviving are daughters, Beth Logan and Laura Logan; “adopted” daughter Debbie Williams; sisters Mariolis Traeger and Catherine Martin; and several beloved nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, November 11, 2011 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road in Noblesville. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm - 7:00pm on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Stockwell Cemetery in Stockwell, IN.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Riverview Hospital, Memorial Foundation, PO Box 220, Noblesville, IN 46061; Chaucie's Place, 1118 West Main Street, Carmel, IN 46032; or Tri-Kappa Scholarships, 15512 Kennewick Bend, Noblesville, IN 46062.
Leslie Jackson
Leslie Clayton Jackson, 88, of Rising Sun, passed away at 3:42 p.m. on Monday, September 7th, 2015 at Dearborn County Hospital, Lawrenceburg.
Leslie was born in Rushville, Indiana on October 12th, 1926, the son of the late Ruth M. (Bulton) and Thomas Glenn Jackson. He served his country in the U.S. Army as a Corporal during World War II. He also worked as a maintenance supervisor at Ashland Oil Company in Ashland, Kentucky.
Leslie was the husband of Ruby "Gennie" Virginia (Tiffner) Jackson. On December 14th, 1964, they were married in North Vernon, Indiana.
Leslie was a member of the Rising Sun Church of the Nazarene. He was a talented musician and guitar player and was a member of a band for several years. He also loved fixing things and doing odd jobs that needed done.
In addition to his loving wife Gennie; Leslie is survived by two sons: Kenneth Jackson (Annie Jo) of Rising Sun and William "Max" Jackson (Emily) of Cincinnati, Ohio; by a step-son, David Tiffner (Beth Ann) of Stockbridge, Georgia; by a sister, Juanita Burr, of Clyde, Ohio; by grandchildren: Christopher Jackson, Charles Tiffner, Clayton Tiffner, Kyle Jackson and Aftyn Tiffner; and by great-grandchildren: Wade and Eva.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 10th at the Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, with Reverend Chris Robinson officiating. Military honors will be performed following the service. Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 4-6 p.m. at Markland Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Rising Sun Church of the Nazarene.
Purda Hunt, Jr.
Purda “Purdy” Hunt, Jr., 85, of Dillsboro passed away on Sunday, March 25th, 2018 at Highpoint Health at Lawrenceburg.
Purdy was born on Thursday March 31st, 1932 in Wheatley, Kentucky, the son of Purda and Avarilla (Kidd) Hunt. Purda was one of 12 children, and spend his childhood on Boone Robinson Road in Switzerland County at the family farm.
He married Hazel Marie (Hon) Hunt on June 27th, 1952, and they shared 43 years of marriage until her passing on January 9th, 1996. To this union three children were born: Belinda Sue, Randall Wayne and Bruce Edward.
Purdy was a U.S. Army veteran serving three years and three months. He was stationed at Fort Sill Oklahoma, and was shipped off to Japan just three days after his wedding. Purda served during the Korean Conflict, rising to the rank of Corporal.
He was a shift supervisor at Chevron for many years retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Hopewell Masonic Lodge #80 F&AM for the past 59 years and was a past Master, He was also a member of the Dillsboro Methodist Church and Scottish Rite Indianapolis Chapter.
Purda was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and a friend to many. He will be remembered for his love of bluegrass music, trap shooting, fishing, bird hunting, wood working, riding his John Deere lawn mower, Western movies, sitting at the Liar’s Table (Table of Knowledge) at the Reservation Restaurant; but, above all he enjoyed spending time with all his family.
Purda is survived by his daughter: Belinda Sue (Eric) Huntington of Versailles, Indiana; by his sons: Randall Wayne (Rhonda) Hunt of Dale, Indiana and Bruce Edward (Kimberly) Hunt of Aurora, Indiana; by his grandchildren: Angie (Brett) Stowasser of Sunman, Indiana, Erin (Eric) Williams of Vevay, Joshua Hunt of Indianapolis, Hilary (Jake) Drone of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, Jeremy Hunt of Indianapolis, Allan Hunt of Aurora, Indiana, and Sabrina Hunt of Indianapolis.
He is also survived by four great-grandchildren: Alexa Stowasser of Sunman, Indiana, Bowe and Otto Williams of Vevay, and Hazel Drone of Mt. Carmel, Illinois; by his brother Clarence (Ramona) Hunt; sisters Ora Lee Schwade, June (Ted) Agnew, and Ann (Loren) Combs; sisters-in-law Gladys Hunt, Juanita and Betty Hunt; brother-in-law Robert (Carolyn) Hon; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be on Thursday March 29th, at 11 a.m. at the Dillsboro United Methodist Church with Pastor Deb Beason and Reverend Tom Fehrman officiating. Burial will follow at New Liberty Cemetery in East Enterprise with full military honors by the Northcutt-Laaker Legion Post #292 of Dillsboro.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 28th, at Filter-DeVries-Moore Funeral Home at Dillsboro, Indiana. Masonic services were held on Wednesday, March 28th, at the funeral home.

Carolyn H. (Hylander) Scudder, age 85, of Vevay, died at 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27th, 2018, at The Waters of Dillsboro in Dillsboro, Indiana.

Ralph Oliver
Ralph “Eddie” Oliver, age 61, of Vevay, died at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27th, 2018, at the King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison, Indiana.

Elaine Miles
Elaine L. (Son) Miles, age 96, of East Enterprise, passed away at 1:47 p.m. on Monday, March 19th, 2018, at her residence.
Elaine entered this life on October 13th, 1921, in Sheridan, Wyoming, the loving daughter of the late Oliver Thomas and Hazel Jenny (Hoaglan) Son. She was raised in Sheridan, Wyoming, where she graduated high school.
Elaine was united in marriage to Dolar Hughan, and to this union arrived two sons: Tom and Jim; and two daughters: Sandra and Anita to bless their home. Elaine was later united in marriage to Atlee Miles, and they shared several years together until he passed away.
Elaine was a former cashier for a grocery store in Slidell, Louisiana. She resided the past 18 years in the Switzerland County community. Elaine will be remembered for her love of fishing and making stained glass with her daughter, Anita, whom preceded her in death. Elaine truly loved life to the fullest. She was the best nurse, friend and mom that any family could have asked for and will be deeply missed.
Elaine is survived by her sons: Tom Hughan of East Enterprise and Jim Hughan and his wife Gayle of Shell Knob, Missouri; her daughter: Sandra Marshall and her husband Tom of Slidell, Louisiana; her son-in-law, Arthur Brown of East Enterprise; her seven grandchildren; her 11-great-grandchildren; her great-great-grandchild; and her several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver Thomas and Hazel Jenny (Hoaglan) Son; her first husband, Dolar Hughan; her second husband, Atlee Miles; by her daughter, Anita Brown; and by her sisters: Naomi Platz, Thela Anderson, Ione “Mickey” Swords and Carol Jean Miller.
No services are being held at this time.
