John L. Turner
John L. Turner, 85, of Carmel, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Prairie Lakes Campus. He was born on August 22, 1926 in Glendale, CA.
John was a proud CPO of the US Navy and was a nuclear engineer on many submarines, and is the only retiree from the USS Scorpion. His second retirement was from Sundstrand Corporation, Rockford, Illinois. John was a member and CEO of the Members Alliance Credit Union for many years, member of Carmel Lutheran Church, the Masonic Lodge and member of The Holland Club which honors veterans who have been submarine qualified for more than fifty years.
He is survived by daughter, Ruth (Michael) Johnson of Carmel, IN, son, James L (Jody) Turner of Noblesville, granddaughter, Laura Johnson of Carmel, grandson, Sgt. Joseph Johnson who is currently serving in Afghanistan, granddaughter, Jennifer Turner of Noblesville, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, and brothers and sister, he was preceded in death by his wife, Isabel M Turner.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Carmel Lutheran Church, 4850 East Main Street, in Carmel, with visitation prior starting at 4:00pm. A service will be be held at 11:00am on Sat, February 25, 2012 at Delahanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Love Park, Illinois with visitation beginning at 10:00am. Burial with full military honors will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Loves Park Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carmel Lutheran Church, or Indy Veterans Honor Flight Inc., 9093 South SR 39, Mooresville, IN 46158.
Daffo Fletcher
Daffo Fletcher, 70, of Noblesville, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. She was born on February 21, 1941 to Bert and Mary Ella (Stacy) Lynn in Clay County, Tennessee.Daffo was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, David Fletcher of Noblesville; sisters, Dimples Wills of Indiana, Emma Allen of Tennessee & Rubie (Johnny) Barnes of Indiana; brother, Joe (Cindy) Lynn of Indiana; and several nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother Jimmy Odie Lynn; three sisters, Evia Wilson, Willie Stacy & Baby Lynn. Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville, with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm prior to the service. Brother Johnny Barnes will officiate. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
William Cherry
William Cherry, 84, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2012 at his home in Noblesville. He was born on October 26, 1927 to Hudson and Dorothy (George) Cherry in Westfield, Indiana.
William worked as a Bus Driver for both Westfield and Noblesville School Corporations.
He was a member of the Clarksville Christian Church and was also a member of the Clarksville Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite of Indianapolis.
He is survived by his daughter, Denise (Larry) Bray; son, Howard (Sherry) Cherry; step-sons, Ricky (Mary) & Randy (Susie) Box; granddaughters, Micki Clevenger, Leanna Cherry, Lisa (Gary) Warthan and Christal (Tom) Miles; 5 step-grandchildren, Sara, Daniel, Kaitlyn and Kimi Box, and Robert (Laura) Staley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Cherry; daughters, Rachelle Lynette Cherry and Davita Jean Cherry; granddaughter, Kayden Rachele Box; brother, Robert Cherry and a sister, Esther Gibbs.
Services will be held at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, Noblesville on Monday, March 19, 2012, at 3:00 pm, with Pastor Mike Huntsinger officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm immediately prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
Robert Woods Blythe, Jr
Robert Woods Blythe, Jr., 92, of Noblesville, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2012 at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville. He was born on March 7, 1920 to Robert and Julia (Clark) Blythe in Lexington, Kentucky.
Robert was an accountant for National Homes. He proudly served his country as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force; was a graduate of New Albany (IN) High School; and a 1952 Honors graduate of Indiana University. He was a member of Congress Street Methodist Church in Lafayette; the Lafayette Country Club; Beta Gamma Sigma; and was an avid golfer.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Blythe of Noblesville; daughter, Diana Blythe (Philip) Ephlin of Noblesville; grandchildren, Tracy Anderson (Matt) Mogol of Sag Harbor, NY, Joshua (Danielle) Richardson of Cupertino, CA, Kyley (Case) Hooper of Champaign, IL; and five great-grandsons. He was a beloved husband, father, Pop-pa and great-Pop-pa.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Sunday, March 25, 2012, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana University School of Medicine.
Betty Jane Silbert
Betty Jane Silbert, 88, of Fishers, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at The Hearth at Windemere in Fishers. She was born on February 19, 1924 to Louis and Esther (Blocks) Steuerle in Chicago, Illinois.
Betty worked 20 years as a Data Entry Processor for Standard of America Life Insurance Company. Prior to coming to Indiana, she lived in Sarasota, Florida for 20 years. Earlier in life, she resided around the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois.
She is survived by two sons: Brad Silbert of Fishers, Indiana, and Todd (wife, Cathy) Silbert of Longmont, Colorado; one brother, Louis (wife, Blanche) Steuerle Jr.; four grandchildren: Matt (wife, Angela) Silbert, Beth (husband, Shawn) Borneman, Caitlin (husband, Jim) Pagano, and Teage Silbert; plus four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arvid Silbert on April 22, 2002.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 24, 2012, at New Hope Presbyterian Church, 12550 Brooks School Road, in Fishers, with Rev. Dr. Steve J Ebling officiating. A Memorial Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service, also at the church.

Phyllis Haskett
Phyllis Haskett, 90, of Anderson, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at St. Johns Hospital in Anderson. She was born on June 6, 1921 to Milford and Dessie (Burris) Mikesell in Westfield, Indiana.
Phyllis retired in 1982 from the cafeteria of Noblesville Junior High School.
She is survived by son, Ronald Martin, granddaughter, Leslie Benson, grandson, Jeremy Benson, and a son-in-law, Max Benson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Eugene Haskett, and daughter, Patricia Benson.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 21, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, Noblesville with funeral services at 7:30 pm. Pastor Dennis Zirkle will officiate. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
Shirley J. Scott
Shirley J. (Arnson) Scott, 85, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2012 at Prairie Lakes Health Campus in Noblesville. She was born on December 19, 1926 to Orville and Mabel (Johnson) Arnson in Detroit, Michigan.
Shirley worked as a Homemaker. In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoyed painting in her spare time.
Shirley is survived by daughters, Karen (Charles Katz) Orton, Wendy (Phil) Richmond, Nancy (Ron) Carnaghi; son, Paul (Susanne) Scott; six grandchildren, Kristina (Scott) Dunlap, Mandy, Daniel, Alex, Jenna, and Jessica.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by first husband, Joseph Kleinow; second husband, Francis Scott; sons, Gary Kleinow and Brian Scott; brother, Alan Arnson; and a sister, Arlene McMillan.
Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 pm on Monday, February 20, 2012, at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, in Fishers, with visitation beginning at 3:00pm, prior to the service. Rev. Stanley R. Sutton will officiate.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude for the wonderful care and kindness of the staff of Prairie Lakes Health Campus.

Earlene Marie Barrett
Earlene M. Barrett, 83, of Carmel, formerly of Dayton Ohio, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Hamilton Trace in Fishers. She was born on January 30, 1929 to Herman and Audrey (Geis) Dissen in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Earlene worked for E.S. Gallon and Associates, Dayton, Ohio. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Dayton Ohio.
She is survived by her son, Keith (Joy) Barrett; three grandchildren, Maggie, Sara, and Sean Barrett.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome "Jerry" Barrett; son, Kevin Barrett and brother, James "Jim" Dissen.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church at 11:00 AM on Tuesday February 21, 2012 with visitation one hour prior to service.
