Sue Trinkel
A native of Perry County, born Sept. 11, 1956, she was the daughter of Doris Lorraine Kitchen Powell of Rockport and the late Robert Lee Powell.
She was an employee of General Electric in Tell City until she became ill. She was a member of Berean Baptist Church in Tell City.
Survivors besides her mother include her husband of 16 years, Sam Trinkel; two sons, Chris Evans and Brandon Trinkel, both of Tell City, a stepson, Clint Trinkel of Tell City; and two brothers, Steve Powell of Corydon and Danny Powell of Rockport.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 11, from 9 a.m. until time of service at Huber Funeral Home in Tell City.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Pastor Harry McDonald will officiate.
Linda Campbell
A native of Harrison County, born Feb. 6, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Ruth Coleman Love.
She was a retired employee of the Middletown (Ohio) Library, where she worked 25 years, and a Methodist.
Survivors include her husband, Robert W. Campbell Sr.; a daughter, Roxanne Woodruff of New Albany; a stepson, Robert W. Campbell Jr. of Corydon; a stepdaughter, Debbie Campbell of Laconia; a brother, Donald E. Love of Larwill; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral was Friday, Oct. 6, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon with burial in Old Goshen Cemetery near Laconia. The Rev. Greg Carter officiated.
Pearl E. Baker
A native of Corydon, she and her late husband, George C. Baker, formerly owned the old Baker's Market in New Albany. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Clarksville.
Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Zuberer of New Albany and Marilyn Gettelfinger of Palmyra; a son-in-law, Herbert Gettelfinger of Palmyra, who cared for her; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
The funeral was Monday, Oct. 9, at Kraft Funeral Service in New Albany with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. A rosary was prayed Monday at the funeral home.
Gilliam Atherton
A native of Livermore, Ky., born Sept. 6, 1918, he was the son of the late Kelly and Abbie Taylor Atherton.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and a retired banker for Federal Reserve Bank in Louisville.
Survivors include his wife, the former Mary A. Reynolds; three sons, Stephen Atherton of Floyds Knobs, and Dave and Martin Atherton, both of Palmyra; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 11, after 8 a.m. at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra.
The funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Palmyra Cemetery.
Robert L. Jecker
A native of Jefferson County, Ky., he was a retired maintenance employee for Transit Authority of River City in Louisville and a member of First Assembly of God Church in New Albany.
Survivors include his wife, the former Thelma R. Tabler; three sons, Gary Jecker of Floyds Knobs, Tom Jecker of Greenville and Nick Jecker of Lakeland, Fla.; seven daughters, Deanna Morgan of Lakeland, Janet Glassner of Louisville, Carol Gooch of Memphis, Tenn., Mary Zimmerman of Palmyra, Theresa House of Louisville, Cindy Trinkle of New Albany and Margaret Cooney of Elizabethtown, Ky.; two brothers, Albert Jecker of Louisville and Ronald Jecker of Radcliffe, Ky.; two sisters, Joyce Edwards of Louisville and Juanita Blanton of Jeffersonville; 36 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
The funeral was Tuesday, Oct. 10, at First Assembly of God Church with a private burial at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
Tommy Jacobs
He was a native of Mauckport, a self-employed gardener and a member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Survivors include his wife, Marydee Meyer; a son, Bart Jacobs of New Albany; a daughter, Missy A. Jacobs of New Albany; two stepsons, John West of Corydon and Donald West of Indianapolis; a stepdaughter, Lara West of Cary, N.C.; a sister, Judy Fleace of Mauckport; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Friday night, Oct. 6, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Burial was private.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Habitat for Humanity.
Jane M. Hollis
She was the daughter of Phyllis Benz Hollis of Marengo and the late Robert (Bob) Hollis, and a member of Pilot Knob United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Myron Lynn Hollis.
Survivors besides her mother include a brother, Terry Hollis of Milltown; and grandparents, Mildred Benz, and Dennis and Ruth Hollis, all of Marengo.
The funeral was Monday, Oct. 9, at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo with burial in Pilot Knob Cemetery. The Rev. Ron Walker and Brother Bob Kelly officiated.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Pilot Knob Cemetery.
