Ronald Eugene Esarey

MISHAWAKA – Ronald Eugene Esarey, 76, passed away in his home on Sunday, February 3.
Ronald was born on August 6, 1931 in Indianapolis as the son of Gerald and Thelma (Monroe) Esarey. He was preceded in death by his parents.
On September 18, 1954 in Lakeville he married the former Rita Spart. Surviving Ronald are his loving wife of 53 years, Rita; a daughter, Marcia K. (Steven) Micinski of Mishawaka; a son Ronald L. (Karen) Esarey of Osceola; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a brother, Norman (Helen) Esarey of Mishawaka
Ronald was a Veteran of the United States Army. He served his country proudly during the Korean War. Ronald retired from Wheelabrator Frye in 1984 after working there for 21 years. He then started working part time at Edison Lakes until the time of his passing. He loved playing golf and spending his time with his family and friends.
As per Ronald’s wishes there will be no visitation. A Memorial services will be on Saturday, February 9 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Mishawaka with Rev. George Minix officiating. Hahn Funeral Home, Mishawaka has been entrusted with handling the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions in memory of Ronald be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 616 Lincolnway East, Mishawaka, IN 46544.
Julius C. "Speedy" Maenhout
Date of death: March 31, 2008
Elkhart – Julius C. “Speedy” Maenhout, 96, formerly of Mishawaka, passed away at 3:00 a.m. on Monday, March 31, in Golden Living Center, Elkhart.
Speedy was born on March 23, 1912 in Mishawaka as the son of Leon and Irma (Scheitecatte) Maenhout. He was preceded in death by his parents. On January 20, 1940 in St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka he was joined in marriage with Elsie Van Bruaene who preceded him in death on December 3, 2005. Surviving is a daughter, Shirley (Craig) Deitchley of Greenville, SC; a granddaughter, Jill (Scott) Parsons of Greenville, SC and two great granddaughters, Abby and Kelsey Parsons.
Speedy worked on the Mishawaka Police Department for 23 years and for the last 10 of those years he was Chief of Detectives. He was a member of St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka, BK Club, Police Retirees, FOP Lodge #91 where he was a past secretary and treasure. Speedy was an avid golfer with the West End Gang. He was a very devoted father and husband to his wife Elsie.
Funeral services will be in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, Wednesday, April 2 at Noon with Rev. Jeffery Largent officiating. Family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.

Dorothy D. Moorman

GRANGER – Dorothy D. Moorman, 75, passed away at 12:00 p.m., on Wednesday, December 24 in South Bend at Our Lady of Peace Hospital.
Dorothy was born on October 9, 1933 in South Bend as the daughter of Leo and Valentina ( Bojarski) Sebelski. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents.
On December 28, 1957, in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart University of Notre Dame, Dorothy married John Moorman.
Surviving Dorothy are her husband of fifty one years John Moorman, two sons, David ( Kelley) Moorman of Orlando, FL, and Bob (Helen) Moorman of Buchanan, MI. Two Grandchildren Matthew and Tyler Moorman. One Sister Adeline Galvas of South Bend. Two brothers Raymond (Rose) Sebelski of South Bend and Leo (Joyce) Sebelski of Blue Springs, MO. Dorothy was Clay High School Graduate, Received her bachelor’s and masters degrees from Indiana University. She retired from Swanson - Highland school in South Bend after teaching grades 3rd , 4th, and 5th grades for 28 years.
Dorothy was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, South Bend, a former president of the Michiana Welcome and Book Club, a member of Granger Garden Club, the Christ Child Society, Hot Red Hatter’s of Granger, Swanson monthly retired luncheon club, Indiana state retired teachers Association, and a volunteer for Ronald McDonald House.
Friends may call from 2:00 – 6:00 pm on Sunday, December 28th, in Little Flower Catholic Church 54191 N. Ironwood South Bend, where a wake prayer service will be held at 5:30 p.m. . A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 29th at 10 a.m. in Little Flower Catholic Church, with Rev. Neil Ryan officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mary E Shiprek

South Bend – Mary E. Shiprek, 79, passed away on Wednesday, December 24 in Hospice House, South Bend.
Mary was born on January 29, 1929 in Mishawaka to Florent J. and Germaine (De Cook) De Roo. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Joseph De Roo.
On January 19, 1972 she married Leonard Shiprek. She is surviving are her husband Leonard Shiprek; a daughter Janice (Butch) Imbro and a son Michael Jonas both of North Liberty, IN; and two grandchildren, Jade and Chad Jonas.
Mary was a head teller at West End Bank for 10 years, she then became owner of the Wabash Tavern in North Liberty for 11 years retiring in 1981. Mary was a member of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, South Bend, St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary, Mishawaka, DAV Auxiliary and BK Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital Gift Shop.
Friends may call on Monday one hour prior to the service at church. A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Monday, December 29 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. South Bend. Entombment will be at St. Joseph PRC Cemetery Mausoleum, South Bend. Hahn Funeral Home, Mishawaka is in charge of arrangements.

Doris Bailey

MISHAWAKA, Doris Bailey, 80, passed away Sunday December 28, 2008 in Cardinal Nursing & Rehab Center South Bend after an illness
Doris was born August 24, 1928 in Centerville, Ohio as the daughter of Harry and Althea (Thunn) Stubbs. Doris was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Virginia Stubbs and three brothers Harry, Walter, and John Stubbs. On June 11, 1951 in Wheaton., IL as the former Doris Stubbs she married Arnold P. Bailey he survives along with one daughter Ruth Bailey of Knox, IN. Doris was a teacher for Dayton Christian School in Dayton, Ohio and for South Side Christian School in Indianapolis, IN and worked for Federal Home Loan Bank in Indianapolis for sixteen years before her retirement in 1993.
Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 PM on Tuesday December 30 in Hahn Funeral Home 505 W. 8th Street Mishawaka. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday December 31at 10:00 am in the Funeral Home with Dr. Bud Steadman of Community Baptist church Officiating. George Bridges

MISHAWAKA, George B. Bridges, 75, passed away on Sunday December 28, 2008 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center South Bend after an illness.
George was born on November 18, 1933 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, as the son of Lawrence and Evelyn (Michaelson) Bridges.
On January 8, 1966 in South Bend he married Inez “Inie” Brewer. George was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter Karen Ann Bridges and a sister Margaret Lindsey, two brothers Lawrence and Donald Bridges.
George is survived by is wife of nearly forty - three years Inez “Inie”, two daughters Kathleen (Steve) Klatt of Granger and Kimberley Lipps of Mishawaka, one son Kelly (Debra Wheeler) Bridges of Osceola, two grandchildren Jason and Ryan Klatt, one great grandson Caden Klatt, Four sisters Beatie Peterson, Betty Hallquist, Mary Bauer all of Eau Claire, WI, and Jean (Wayne) Olson of Altoona, WI, two brothers Mike (Linda) Bridges and Jim (Sue) Bridges both of Eau Claire, WI.
George was employed by Rockwell Standard for ten years and for Leo Applicators for six years and Stone Container in Mishawaka as a maintenance engineer after twenty years of service. He was United States Naval Veteran serving in Korea, a member of VFW Post 360 in Mishawaka and American Legion Post 161 in Mishawaka, Member of Club 15 Golf and Bowling Leagues. The Family will receive friends on Wednesday December 31, 2008 form 12:00 am to 2:00 PM in Hahn Funeral Home 505 W. 8th Street Mishawaka. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Funeral Home. Burial following cremation will be at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park Cemetery Granger.

Granger – Raymond E. Kelsey, 77, passed away Sat. Dec. 27 in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Surviving are his wife Eileen, children, Mike Kelsey of Granville, IL, Kathy Eisenhour of Memphis, TN, Karen Campbell of Houston, TX, Robert Kelsey of Elkhart, Tom Kelsey of Granger and Brian Kelsey of Granville, IL; 10 grandchildren; one great grandchild; a sister Anna Jane Warren of Citrus Heights, CA and two brothers, John Kelsey of Peoria, IL and Cecil Kelsey of Peru, IL. Visitation will be Wed. Dec. 31 from 1 to 3 p.m. with funeral services at 3 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka with Rev. Jeffery Largent officiating.
