Sondra Sellers
Sondra Sellers, 62, of 11184S 250W, Silver Lake, IN died at her home Sunday, June 23, 1996. She was born Sept. 30,1933 at Silver Lake, IN. She was married to Leslie "Frank" Sellers for 46 years, and he preceded her in death.
She had served as Lake Township Trustee; was retired as a bus driver for 27 years from the Warsaw School systems. She was instru-mental in getting a new fire truck for Lake Township Fire Depart-ment.
She is survived by her mother, Mildred Bridegroom of Silver Lake; a daughter, Marilyn Luecke of Silver Lake; four sons - Roger F. "Vicki" Sellers, Ronald R. Sellers, and Rex A. Sellers, all of Silver Lake, and Robert L. "Peggy" Sellers of Fort Wayne; a sister, Imogene Warren of North Manchester; and two brothers, Marland "Jim" Bridegroom of Wabash and Ronald Bridegroom of North Manchester; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Thursday, June 27, 1996 at 1 p.m. at the Center United Methodist Church with Pastor Michael Kelly officiating. An Eastern Star service will be held at 9 p.m. Wednesday following calling hours from 2-4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the Casey Lloyd Funeral Home, Strong Chapel, Silver Lake, which is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.

Kathryn Lefforge
Kathryn Lefforge, 80, of 10844 N SR 13, North Manchester, died Saturday, June 22, 1996 at St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo, Florence (Miller) Aduddell, both deceased. She married Jesse D. Lefforge Nov. 29, 1941 and he survives. She was retired from Heckman Bindery after 15 years employment.
She was a member of the Manchester Church of the Brethren.
In addition to her husband, other survivors include daughters Linda Price of Bunker Hill, IN and Jo Dee Smith of North Manchester; a brother, Edson Aduddell of Washington, D.C.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A brother and four sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held today (Wednesday), June 26, 1996 at DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary with Dr. William Hemmig officiating.
Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Servia. Preferred memorials are to the Heart Association.

Harold W. Cripe
Harold W. Cripe, 88, of 502 Kech St., North Manchester, IN died Friday, June 21, 1996 at Miller's Merry Manor East, Wabash. He was born May 15, 1908 at Rossville, IN to Curtis E. and Emma (Reiff) Cripe. A retired farmer, he was married to Ethel Michael Oct. 20, 1928 and she survives. He was a member of the Liberty Mills Church of the Brethren.
Other survivors include sons Keith Cripe of Columbia City and Ernest Cripe of Laketon; a daughter, Mrs. Dan (Dorothy) May of North Manchester; brothers Guy Cripe of Claypool, Paul Cripe of North Manchester; Kenneth Cripe of Auburn, WA, and Quentin Cripe of Sunland, CA; sisters Mrs. Janet Cullen, Fort Smith, AR, Mrs. Walter (Doris) Niccum of North Manchester, and Mrs. C. T. (Gladys) Price of Scottsdale, AZ; 15 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. A brother and a sister preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 25 at DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, which was in charge of arrangements. Rev. John Whitcraft and Rev. David W. Pinkham officiated. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Servia, IN.
Preferred memorials are to that of the donor's choice.

Elwood D. Oltman
Elwood D. "Easy" Oltman, 48, of PO Box 27, Liberty Mills, IN, died Friday, June 21, 1996 at Wabash County Hospital. He was born Dec. 3, 1947 at Beatrice, Nebraska, to the late Dick D. Oltman and Violet (Schoneweis) Oltman of Beatrice, NE. He was an employee of the Indiana State Highway Department.
Survivors include a son David Oltman of the U.S. Marine Corp, San Diego, CA; a companion, Marcella Drudge of Liberty Mills, IN; a brother, Arlin Oltman of Adams, NE; and sisters Mrs. Larry (Sherleen) Miller of Holmsville, NE, Mrs. Paul (Carol) Meints of Cortland, NE, and Mrs. Steve (Rosalee) Gronewold of Pickrell, NE.
Funeral services were held Wednesday (today) at Zion Lutheran Church of Pickrell, NE with the Rev. Reik Danforth officiating. Burial was in Zion Lutheran Cemetery at Pickrell, NE.
DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary handled local arrangements; Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice, NE was in charge of funeral service at Pickrell, NE.

Nashwa W. Melton
Nashwa William Melton was stillborn at Huntington Memorial Hospital June 21, 1996. His parents are Scott and Christina (Vaughn) Melton of 207 W. Fourth St., North Manchester.
Other survivors include brothers Scott Melton, Jr. and Bobby Melton, both at home; a sister, Darian Middleton, at home; the maternal grandmother, Constance Nelson of North Manchester; paternal grandparents, Robert Melton of North Manchester and the late Norma Melton; also maternal great-grandmother, Izoma Knipp of Knoxville, TN; maternal great-grandfather, John Sparulding of Hartford City, IN, maternal great-great-grandfather, Fold Wesco of Knoxville, TN.
Graveside service was held Monday, June 24, 1996 at Oaklawn Cemetery with the Rev. J.P. Freeman officiating. DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary was in charge of ar-rangements.

Martha L. Lavengood
Martha L. Lavengood, 92, a resident of Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester, IN died Thursday, July 23, 1998 at Peabody Healthcare Center. She was born June 25, 1906 in Salt Lake city, UT to Bert and Clara Belle (Barnhart) Lavengood.
She was a bookkeeper and secretary who lived at Peabody Retirement Community since Sept. 4, 1994. She was a graduate of Roann High School and attended Marion Business College. She worked for Colgate Palmolive Peet in Chicago, was transferred to Jersey City, NJ, then came to Wabash and worked for Container Corp. She also worked for Dick's Trading Post in Wabash. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Peru.
Survivors include a brother, Richard I. Spiece of Las Vegas, NV; nephews Tom Spiece of Wabash, William Spiece of Kokomo, Barclay Lavengood of Flint, MI and James Spiece of Fort Wayne; nieces Cynthia Hicks of Grand Rapids, MI and Martha Ann Graham of Sumpter, SC.
Funeral service was held Saturday, July 25, 1998 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Roann Chapel with the Rev. Mark Waite officiating. Burial was in Roann Community Cemetery of Roann.
Grandstaff-Hentgen Roann Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Susanne K. Kock
Susanne K. Kock, 51, of 201 S. River Road, North Manchester, IN, died Thursday, July 23, 1998 at her home. She was born Jan. 29, 1947 in Wabash County to the late Forrest Weller and Vivian (Reed) Weller of Woodspoint, North Manchester.
She married Michael L. Kock on Nov. 24, 1965 in North Manchester. She was a 1965 graduate of Manchester High School, and was co-owner of Teddy's & Treasures in North Manchester. She was a member of the North Manchester United Methodist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #69 in North Manchester.
Survivors include her husband, Michael of North Manchester; her mother, Vivian Weller, North Manchester; and sons Jeff S. Kock, Christopher R. Kock and Chad M. Kock, all of North Manchester; a sister, Janet Norrid of Tampa, FL and a brother, Stanley Weller of Atlanta, GA; and one grandchild.
Funeral service was held Saturday, July 25, 1998 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Bender Chapel with Pastor J. P. Freeman officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Servia, IN.
Preferred memorials are to the Wabash County Cancer Society. Grandstaff-Hengen Bender Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Evelyn S. Dillon
Evelyn Susan Dillon, 73, of 1722E 250S, Wabash, IN died Friday, July 24, 1998 at her residence. She was born May 10, 1925 at Oklahoma City, OK to John Thomas and Florence Catherine (Shipp) Crowley. She married James E. Dillon, Sr. in Las Vegas, NV on Sept. 22, 1973.
She retired in 1979 from Packers Bar & Meat Co. in Los Angeles, CA where she was office manager. She served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include her husband James, of Wabash; a son, David Michael DeLand of Upland, CA; a daughter Lynn Marie Moorhouse of Laguna Niguel, CA; stepsons James Edward Dillon Jr. and Kenneth Ray Dillon, both of Logan, OH, and Ronald Lee Dillon of Central Point, OR; a sister, Delores Oroszco of Pinon Hills, CA; three grandchildren, a great grandchild; 11 step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren. One brother preceded her in death.
Funeral service was held Tuesday, July 28, 1998 Grandstaff-Hentgen Main Street Chapel, Wabash, with Rev. Terry Canfield officiating. Burial was in Memorial Lawns Cemetery of Wabash.
Preferred memorials are to American Lung Association. Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service of Wabash was in charge of arrangements.

Glen D. Mueller
Glen D. Mueller, 70, a resident of Silver Lake, IN since 1995, died Saturday, July 25, 1998 at Parkview Hospital of Fort Wayne. He was born Nov. 3, 1927 at Fort Wayne, IN to Peter J. and Josephine (Klingenberger) Mueller.
He was an electroplater at Wayne Metal Protection Co. for 20 years, then was a painter for Waters Decorating and retired 1991 from Mueller's Decorating.
He was a member of St. Roberts' Ballermine Catholic Church of North Manchester. He was married June 11, 1949 at Fort Wayne.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Mueller of Silver Lake; two sons, Douglas B. Mueller of Fort Wayne and Jeffrey L. Mueller of Laud, IN; a daughter, Marlene S. Chacon of Columbia City, IN; a brother Ronald Mueller of Carefree, AZ; sisters Trilby Jones of Decatur, IN, Janice Mueller of Waterloo, IN and Bondall Mueller of Los Banos, CA; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Prayers were held today (Wednesday) June 29, 1998 at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, of Fort Wayne, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Andrew Catholic Church of Fort Wayne. The Rev Fr. Ron Ramendaden of St., Robert's Ballermine Catholic Church officiated, and burial was in Catholic Cemetery of Fort Wayne.

Vera V. Overly
Vera Viola Overly, 92, a resident of Timbercrest Retirement Community, died Sunday, July 26, 1998 at Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester. She was born April 24, 1906 in Wabash County to Omar and Dora Anna (Bell) Wilson. She married Russell Paul Overly in Wabash County on August 20, 1933.
She was a 1963 graduate of Manchester College, and taught elementary school for five years in Richvalley, IN and at Jefferson Township School in Whitley County for more than 20 years. She was a member of the First Brethren Church in North Manchester, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Indiana Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors include her husband, R. Paul Overly of Timbercrest, North Manchester; a daughter, Joyce Annette Tschantz of Wabash; a son Dr. Stephen Omar Overly of Grove City, OH; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services were held today, Wednesday, July 29, 1998 at Timbercrest Chapel with the Rev. Marlin McCann officiating. Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to the Timbercrest Church of the Brethren Home. Arrangements were by Grandstaff-Hentgen Bender Chapel.

Alice L. Steininger
Alice L. Steininger, 84, of 5452 E. SR 14, Rochester, IN, died of natural causes, due to a sudden illness on Monday, July 27, 1998 at her residence. She was born June 25, 1914 at Disko, IN to Frank and Nellie (Hartman) Moore. She lived most of her life in Fulton Community of Fulton, IN.
She married Calvin Edwin Steininger Dec. 24, 1939 at Rochester; he preceded her in death Sept. 23, 1971. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters - Ruth Hoff, and her husband George of Warsaw, and Patty Shafer of Fulton, IN; two sons - Junior Steininger of Laketon, IN and Earl Steininger and his wife, Mary of Akron; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; two sisters - Rose Marburger of South Bend, and Pauline Stanley and her husband Carl of Walkerton, IN; a brother, Earl Moore and his wife Loretta of Akron. In addition to her husband, preceding her in death were a daughter, Barbara, two sons, Henry in infancy and Richard Steininger in 1980; two grandchildren; a sister Marie Berger in 1991 and two brothers, Alfred and Merle.
Funeral services were held today (Wednesday, July 29, 1998) at the Foster & Good Funeral Home of Akron. The Pastor Steve Fleck officiated, and burial was in Akron Cemetery, located at Akron, IN.

David A. Hoffman
David A. Hoffman, 56, of Bryan Apartments, Roann, IN, died Monday, July 27, 1998 at his residence. He was born May 13, 1942 to Claude W. and Opal I. (Burns) Hoffman.
He worked in construction, was an Army veteran and attended the Roann Church of the Brethren.
He is survived by four sisters - Helen Thieme of Fort Wayne, IN, Mary Steele of New Paris, IN, Linda Butcher of Roann, IN, and Jennifer Hoagland of Claypool, IN; and a brother Terry Hoffman of Macy, IN. Four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call today (Wednesday) from 2 to 8 p.m. at Grandstaff-Hentgen Roann Chapel, 335 S. Chippewa, Roann. Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 30, 1998 at 10:00 a.m. at the Roann Church of the Brethren with the Pastor Kurt Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Silver Creek Cemetery, located at Akron, IN.
Grandstaff-Hentgen Roann Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
