Charles D. Burden
Charles D. Burden, age 81, of New Paris, died Saturday morning (September 20, 2003) at Reid Hospital. He was born in New Paris on October 9, 1921 to Lawrence and Wava McCown Burden and had lived in New Paris most of his life. He was a retired 43 year employee of Belden Wire and Cable and was the owner/.operator of
C & B Auto Sales. He was a US Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include: Wife Virginia Burden (to whom he was married 20 years)
Daughter Donna Bradley of Indianapolis

3 Grandchildren
A daughter, Margo White, and two sisters are also deceased.
Services will be held at 1:30 pm Indiana Time (2:30 pm Ohio Time) on Tuesday (September 23, 2003) in Riggle Waltermann Mortuary, 32 South 11th St. Richmond. Rev. Paul Mingus will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday (September 22, 2003) from 4:00 to 6:00 pm Indiana Time (5:00 to 7:00 pm Ohio Time) at the funeral home. www.riggle-waltermann.com
Marie E. Riegel
Marie E. Riegel, age 92, of Richmond, died Monday (August 26, 2003) at Oakridge Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born in Richmond on December 22, 1910 to William and Gatewood Bogan Baldwin and had lived here all of her life. She was a retired 43 year employee of Richmond Baking Company and was a member of First Christian Church. She was a member of Eden Rebekah Lodge #30, Loyal Chapter #49 Order of the Eastern Star, White Shrine #75, Social Order #218 of the Beaucent, Eagles Auxillary, Moose Auxillary, Richmond Senior Citizens, Widowed Persons Service and was past president of the Department Association Ladies Auxillary. Her husband, Ivan Riegel, died in 1971.
Survivors include Daughter-in-law Patsy Riegel of Arlington, Texas

Services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday (August 30, 2003) in Riggle Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Dixie Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Pershing. Friends may call on Friday (August 29, 2003) from 5 7 pm at the funeral home.
Lucy E. May Wilson
Lucy E. May Wilson, age 88, of Richmond, passed away on Tuesday (August 26, 2003) at Golden Rule Nursing Center. She was born on March 21, 1915 in Devonia , Tennessee and had worked at Avco from 1946 to 1973. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Richmond on Airport Road.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ted May Sr, her second husband, Odes Wilson; her parents, four brothers and two sisters.

Herbert Gray
Herbert F. Gray, age 79, of Richmond, died Tuesday (September 2, 2003) at Reid Hosptial. He was born on June 19, 1924 to Albert and Emma Gray and had lived here most of his life.
Survivors include a daughter, a sister and nieces & nephews
Public services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday (September 5, 2003) in Earlham Mausoleum. There will be no public calling. Riggle Waltermann Mortuary is in charge of arrangements
April Jean Yingst
April Jean Yingst, age 17, of Richmond, died unexpectedly on Tuesday (September 23, 2003) at the home of her aunt. She was born in Richmond on April 5, 1986 and had lived here all of her life. She was a student at the FIND Center and attended the Oasis Ministry Center.

Her grandmother, Sophia Hatfield Taylor; grandfather, Clifford Yingst; and an aunt, Mary Ann Hatfield are also deceased.

Wilbur E. "Buck" Lantz
Wilbur E. Buck Lantz, age 94, of Richmond, died Wednesday (September 3, 2003) at Cherish Health and Living Center. He was born in Richmond on June 30, 1909 to Henry and Edna Schnelle Lantz and had lived here all of his life. He was a retired employee of Richmond City Street Department and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include: Wife M. Jewel Lantz to whom he was married 60 years
Daughter Bonnie Effing of Batesville, Indiana
Granddaughter Kris Seiko of Saint Joseph, Michigan
Great Grandchildren Nathen and Ashleigh Seiko
A grandson, Scott Effing; three brothers, Howard, Ralph and Kenneth Lantz; and two sisters, Hazel Turner and Mildred Maines are deceased.
Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday (September 6, 2003) in Riggle Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Lester Maples will officiate. Burial will be in Lutherania Cemetery. Loretta J. Bradley
Loretta J. Bradley, age 90, of Richmond, died Saturday (September 20, 2003) in Caldonia, Michigan where she was staying in the home of her nephew. She was born in Peru, Indiana on December 4, 1912 and had lived in the Richmond area most of her life. She was a former employee of Sears and was a retired employee of the Wayne County Auditors Office. Her husband, James B. Bradley, died in 1986.
Survivors include nieces and nephews
A prayer service will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday (September 25, 2003) in Riggle Waltermann Mortuary followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Saint Andrew Church. Entombment will be in Earlham Mausoleum. Friends may call on Wednesday (September 24, 2003) from 6 8 pm at the funeral home.
Fern E. Hartman
Fern E. Hartman, age 94, of Richmond, died Tuesday morning (September 23, 2003) at Cherish Health & Living Center. She was born in Eaton, Ohio on October 28, 1908 to Charles H and Grace E. Plummer Cole and had lived in the Richmond area most of her life. She was the former owner/operator of Ferns Cafι and also worked in partnership with her sister at the Dutch Grill. She bought and remodeled houses and was a member of the Community Church of God
Survivors include Daughter Sharlene George of Richmond
