Date: 2005-01-18
Patricia L. Toschlog, age 75, of Richmond, died Tuesday evening (January 18, 2005) at her residence. She was born in Richmond on March 10, 1929 to Conrad and Hazel Fuller Heaver and had lived here all of her life. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include – Husband – Charles Toschlog to whom she was married 48 years
Daughters – Connie Voiles of Richmond
Cindy Tucker of Richmond
Son – Charles Toschlog of Richmond
Sister – Madonna Hall of Indianapolis
Brother-in-law – Maurice Toschlog of Fort Wayne
Sister-in-law – Betty Hart of California

A prayer service will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday (January 22, 2005) in Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Andrew Church. Burial will be in Saint Andrew Cemetery. There will be no public calling.

James C. Sittloh
Date: 2005-01-20
James C. Sittloh, age 83, of Richmond, died Thursday afternoon (January 20, 2005) at Reid Hospital. He was born in Richmond on November 5, 1921 to Henry and Clara Minner Sittloh and had lived here all of his life. He was a US Army veteran of World War II and he had worked for Crosley Corporation and Dana Corporation. He was a retired 15 year employee of Wayne Works. He was a member of Saint Andrew Church.
Survivors include Nieces & Nephews
A brother, Earl Sittloh, and four sisters, Viola Stolle, Ethel Lunsford, Roma Drayer and Rosemary Mathews are also deceased.
A public prayer service will be held at 9:30 am on Monday (January 24, 2005) in Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Andrew Church. Burial will be in Saint Andrew Cemetery. There will be no public calling.

Dorothy M LeFeurve
Date: 2005-01-21
Dorothy M. LeFeuvre, age 84, of Richmond, died Friday evening (January 21, 2005) at Friends Fellowship Community. She was born on December 29, 1920 in Libertyville, Illinois to Conrad and Florence Johnston Uchtman and had lived in this area for the past 19 years. She was a member of First Christian Church, the Petal & Stem Garden Club and the Woman’s Club. She had been active in numerous other community organizations and projects. Within her active life she had an interest in aviation and received her pilot’s license at the age of 64. Her husband, Arthur G. LeFeuvre, died in 1983.

Brother – Charles (Ruth) Uchtman of Evanston, Illinois

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday (January 29, 2005) in First Christian Church, 100 South 10th Street. Rev. Jim Miller and Rev. Dixie Miller will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church. Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Margaret I. Wolfe
Date: 2005-01-27
Margaret I. Wolfe, age 87, of Richmond, died Thursday morning (January 27, 2005) at Reid Hospital. She was born in Wayne County, Indiana on March 27, 1917 to Lester and Ada Veregge Maines and had lived here all of her life. She had worked at the former Palais Royal and she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include – Husband – Charles A. Wolfe (to whom she was married 37 years)
Daughters – Cheryl (Darl) Ellington of Richmond
Janice Stevens of Richmond
Karen Ann Riley of New Paris, Ohio
Son – Charles Christopher Wolfe of Indianapolis
Brother – William Howard Maines of Richmond

Services will be held at 10:30 am on Monday (January 31, 2005) in Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Lester Maples will officiate. Entombment will be in Earlham Mausoleum. Friends may call on Sunday (January 30, 2005) from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Virginia Elliott
Date: 2005-01-29
Virginia Elliott, age 87, formerly of Richmond, died Saturday (January 29, 2005) in Walnut Creek, California. She was born in Jay County, Indiana on October 22, 1917 to Francis and Bessie Mae Grable Kelly and had lived in this area most of her life before moving to California in 1998. She had been a member of the former Second Presbyterian Church and she had owned and operated Elliott’s Painting and Decorating Service with her husband, Wayne Elliott, who died in 1999.

Son – Robert Elliott of Port Charlotte, Florida
Sister – Freda Fraze of Winchester, Indiana

A public memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday (March 19, 2005) in Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. John Hollis will officiate.

Elijah H. "Blackie" Pennington
Date: 2005-02-05
Elijah H. “Blackie” Pennington, age 81, of Richmond, went home to the Lord on Saturday (February 5, 2005). He died peacefully at his home. He was born on May 18, 1923 in Sandy Hook, Kentucky as one of six children to Thomas and Rosie Goodman Pennington and had lived in this area most of his life. He was a Marine Corp veteran of World War II where he served proudly in the South Pacific. He was a master carpenter and contractor and an avid antique collector. He was a member of Whitewater Lodge #159 F & AM where he served as Senior Warden in 1989. He was raised to the Master Mason Degree on October 15, 1981. He was also a member of the Whitewater Valley Detachment of the Marine Corp League. His wife, Alice Pennington, died in 2002.
Survivors include – Daughter – Sherry Pennington of Richmond
Sons – Steve Pennington of Richmond
Tom Pennington of Fairfield, Ohio
Sister – Mona Watts of New Paris, Ohio
Brother – Hysell Pennington of Jabez, Kentucky
Special Friends – Joy Weatherly and Caroline Paddock
6 Grandchildren – Brian Cordell, Jason Pennington, Danielle Long, Brandon Pennington, Micah Tevis & Cara Penningon.
8 Great Grandchildren – Tayler Pennington, Drew Gray, Brian Cordell, Jr., Brice Pennington, Elijah Pennington, Asher Pennington, Quincy Tevis and Madison Cordell
An infant brother and three other brothers, Jesse, Hubert and Troy Pennington, are also deceased.
Services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday (February 9, 2005) in Riggle – Waltermann Mortuary. Burial with military graveside rites will be in Goshen Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday (February 8, 2005) from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home where Masonic services will be conducted at 7:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marine Corp League, 200 S. 9th St. Richmond, IN 47374 or to the Salvation Army, 707 S. "A" St. Richmond, IN 47374
