Ethel G. Williams
Ethel G. Williams, age 86, of Richmond, died Wednesday (December 3, 2003) at Reid Hospital. She was born in Richmond on January 10, 1917 to Nicholas and Mary Kolentus and had lived here all of her life. She was a retired employee of General Telephone and Electronics.

Her parents, two brothers, John Kolentus and Nicholas Kolentus, Jr., and a sister, Mary Komlo, are also deceased.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday (December 6, 2003) in Riggle Waltermann Mortuary. Father Todd Riebe will officiate. Burial will be in Saint Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday (December 6, 2003) from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
Betty Holliday Pope
Betty Holliday Pope, age 81, of Richmond, died Sunday (December 7, 2003) at Reid Hospital. She was born in Abington, Indiana on August 14, 1922 to William and Alice Woods Holliday and had lived in this area most of her life. She had worked at Hamburger King and JM Hutton Casket Company and was a retired employee of Reid Hospital where she had worked in the newborn nursery and also in material processing. She had also worked for Richmond Community Schools Food Service at Dennis Middle School. She attended First United Methodist Church. Her husband, Robert Pope, died in 1977.

Services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday (December 11, 2003) in Riggle-Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Mark Wesler will officiate. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday (December 10, 2003) from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Erma Fontella Toney
Erma Fontella Toney, age 89, of Richmond, died Thursday morning (December 11, 2003) at Heritage House of Richmond. She was born in Fort Recovery, Ohio on May 16, 1914 to Simeon and Florence Andrews Bright and had lived in this area most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Family Church. Her husband, Paul Vogelgesang, died in 1968.
Survivors include: Husband William J. Toney (to whom she was married 25 years)

A prayer service will be held at 9:30 am on Monday (December 15, 2003) in Riggle Waltermann Mortuary followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Holy Family Church. Burial will be in Saint Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday (December 14, 2003) from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the funeral home. Robert C, Muhl, age 85, of Richmond, died Tuesday (December 16, 2003) at Reid Hospital. He was born in Richmond on March 12, 1918 to Charles H. and Elizabeth Witte Muhl and had lived here all of his life. He was a retired employee of Natco and he was a member of First English Lutheran Church.
Survivors include Wife Betty Muhl to whom he was married 63 years

Robert A. Brinker
Robert A. Brinker, age 86, of Richmond, died Wednesday morning (December 24, 2003) at Golden Rule Beverly Healthcare. He was born in Richmond on August 24, 1917 to Matt and Irene Issen Brinker and had lived here all of his life. He had owned and operated Hackman-Eickemeyer Furniture Store for 37 years. He was a graduate of Morton High School and was a veteran of World War II where he served with the 80th Division. While in the Army, he served in campaigns in Northern France, Rhineland, Ardenees, and Central Eurpoe and was awarded the Bronze Star, the Presidential Unit Citation, and the Purple Heart. He was a member of Saint Mary Church, American Legion Post 65 and the 80th Division Association.
Survivors include Wife Mary Eickemeyer Brinker (whom he married February 12, 1943)

Karl J. Kolger
Karl J. Kolger, age 79, of Richmond, died Saturday (December 27, 2003) at his residence. He was born in Windber, Pennsylvania on January 9, 1924 to Louis and Hazel Blough Kolger and had lived in Richmond most of his life. He was a graduate of Richmond High School and of Earlham College and received his law degree from the Indiana University School of Law. He was an retired attorney and partner in the law firm of Knoll Kolger Sowers and Metzger. He was a US Army veteran of World War II and of the Korean War. He was a member of Saint Pauls Lutheran Church and of the Indiana Bar Association and was a member and past president of the Wayne County Bar Association. He was also a member and Past Commander of Harry Ray Post 65 of the American Legion.
Survivors include: Wife Nancy Kolger (whom he married on January 1, 1989)

Private services will be held on Wednesday (December 31, 2003) in Riggle Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor Martin Gehring will officiate. Burial will be in Elkhorn Cemetery where military graveside services will be conducted by the Wayne County Veterans Council. There will be no public calling.
Ralph R. "Maverick" Abney
Ralph R. Maverick Abney, age 77, of Richmond, died Tuesday (December 9, 2003) at Reid Hospital. He was born in Covington, Kentucky on March 11, 1926 to John and Anna Robinson Abney and had lived in this area most of his life. He was a retired employee of Richmond Gear where he had worked at an inspector and as a machine operator. He was a US Army veteran of World War II where he had served with the 101st Airborne.
Survivors include: Wife Jo Ellen Abney to whom he was married 34 years
