Roxanne M. Walterman
Roxanne M. Roxie Walterman, age 83, formerly of Richmond, died Monday evening (February 16, 2004) in Northern Arlington Community Hospital in Arlington, Virginia. She was born on February 23, 1920 in Lexington, Kentucky to William and Artie Basford and had lived in Richmond most of her life before moving to Virginia. She had worked at Decca Records, the Elks Country Club and for JC Penny Company. She was a member of First Baptist Church and of the Richmond Senior Center. Her husband, Harmon Walterman, died on May 16, 1988.
Survivors include Daughter Cheryl Weisenbarger of New Hope, New Jersey

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday (February 28, 2004) in Riggle Waltermann Mortuary. Rev. Ron West will officiate. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday (February 27, 2004) from 4:00 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 1601 South A Street, Richmond, Indiana 47374 or to a favorite charity.
Michael E. Moore
Michael E. Moore, age 64, of Richmond, died Saturday morning (February 7, 2004) at his residence. He was born in Richmond on December 6, 1939 to Ernest and Edna Ryan Moore and had lived here most of his life. He has served 3 years with the US Marines followed by 18 years with the Army Reserves where he served in the Gulf War. He was a retired bus driver for the Rose View Transit System and had worked at Amcast. Mike found great joy working at Melody Skateland where he was an active skater and worked as a floor guard and served as a coach, teacher and member of the racing team. He was a member of the Marine Corp League and of American Legion Post 315
Survivors include Wife Dot Moore to whom he was married 27 years

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday (February 10, 2004) in Riggle Waltermann Mortuary. Eric Loy will officiate. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery where military graveside services will be conducted by the Wayne County Veterans Council. Friends may call on Monday from 5 8 pm at the funeral home
Anna A. Dudas
Anna A. Dudas, age 88, of Richmond, died Monday morning (February 16, 2004) at Golden Rule Beverly Healthcare. She was born in Richmond on May 31, 1915 and had lived here all of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Saint Andrew Church. She was an avid bingo player and a former member of the Knights of St. John Auxillary. Her husband, Michael G. Dudas, died June 15, 1995.

A public prayer service will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday (February 19, 2004) in Riggle Waltermann Mortuary followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Saint Andrew Church. Burial will be in Saint Andrew Cemetery. There will be no public calling.
Lois M. Stanley
Lois M. Stanley, age 83, of Richmond , died Sunday evening (February 22, 2004) at Reid Hospital. She was born in Great Falls, Montana on July 10, 1920 to Louis and Gertrude Lintner Wolfe and had lived in Richmond most of her life. She had worked as an elementary school teacher and as a school psychologist for schools in Richmond, Centerville, Liberty and in Ohio. She attended Winona College and was a graduate of Miami University and of Purdue University. She was a member of Saint John Lutheran Church and of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Indiana Psychology Association, the National Education Association and was a former member of the Elks Country Club.
Survivors include: Husband Marvin Stanley to whom she was married 59 years
Son Lee (wife Rosemary) Stanley of Andover, Massachusetts
Brother Donald Wolfe of Olivia, Minnesota
Granddaughter Lindsay Stanley of Andover, Massachusetts
Her daughter, Lynne D. Blankenhorn, died in 1998.
Services will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday (February 26, 2004)in Saint John Lutheran Church (501 South 7th Street). Pastor Herb Berry will officiate. Burial will be in Lutherania Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday (February 26, 2004) from 12:00 to 1:30 pm at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint John Lutheran Church.
Vernon D. Weiss
Vernon D. Weiss, age 71, of Richmond, died Tuesday evening (February 24, 2004) at Alterra-Sterling House. He was born in Greens Fork, Indiana on February 28, 1932 to Raymond and Jeanette Merkamp Weiss and had lived here all of his life. He was a 1950 graduate of Greens Fork High School and was a veteran of the US Air Force where he served during the Korean War. He was a retired 31 year employee of Belden Wire and Cable and he farmed. Vernon was an avid sports fan and he enjoyed genealogy and local history. He was a member of Saint Andrew Church and he also attended Visitation Catholic Church in Eaton, Ohio. His wife, Patricia Weiss, died in 1997.

A prayer service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday (February 27, 2004) in Riggle Waltermann Mortuary followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in Saint Andrew Church. Burial will be in Saint Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday (February 26, 2004) from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home and prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society Wayne County Unit, 1401 Chester Blvd. Richmond, Indiana 47374 or to the Monroe County YMCA Cardiac Rehab Program or to a favorite charity.
George J. Lux
George J. Lux, age 75, of Richmond, died Wednesday (February 25, 2004) at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Richmond on December 30, 1928 to George and Katherine Lahmann Lux and had lived here all of his life. He was a graduate of Richmond High School and was a veteran of the US Army. He had worked as a dry cleaning press operator and as a clerk for Bircks Hardware. He was a member of Saint Andrew Church.
Survivors include Sister Ruth Johnting of Lynn, Indiana
Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
Public graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday (February 28, 2004) in Saint Andrew Cemetery. There will be no public calling. Riggle Waltermann Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Floyd Nelson Redd
Floyd Nelson Redd, age 73, of Williamsburg, died Thursday (February 26, 2004) at the Dayton Veterans Administration Medical Center. He was born in Middletown, Ohio on May 17, 1930 to John Everett Redd and Lora L. Logue Redd Moore and had lived in the Richmond area most of his life where he spent his formative years at Wernle Home. Floyd retired from Chippewa Motor Freight and had also driven trucks for S & S Auto Service, Warfield Oil Company and while he served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Saint John Lutheran Church, the American Legion and he had served as an assistant Boy Scout leader.

The apples of his eyes were his 13 grandchildren: Duane, Scott, Amy, Amanda, Melissa, Marsha, Brian, Justin, Cristina, Kristy, Bob, Sarah and Luke Nelson. And he dearly loved his 17 great grandchildren: Miranda, Ashli, Faith, Bryan, Brandy, Caleb, Devon, Cody, Dominic, Amanda, Jacob, Kylene, Brittany, Oksana, Zoe, Karley and Dean Nelson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Everett N. Redd, and two half-brothers.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday (March 1, 2004) in Riggle Waltermann Mortuary. Pastor John Place will officiate. Burial will be in Williamsburg Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday (February 29, 2004) from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Wernle Home, 2000 Wernle Road, Richmond, Indiana 47374.
Winnifred E. Treffinger
Winifred E. Treffinger, age 82, formerly of Richmond, died Friday (February 27, 2004) in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born in Richmond on October 5, 1921 to Windsor and Edna Von Pein Harris.
