JOSEPHINE A. REEDER
Josephine Anne (Jo Ann) Eisenman Reeder, 75, Cameron, Mo (formerly of Kansas City, MO), passed away 12/3/04. Rosary will held at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee, 10901 Johnson Dr, Shawnee, KS Wednesday, December 8 at 5pm followed by visitation until 7pm. Memorial Mass will be Thursday, December 9 at St. Munchin Catholic Church, 301 N. Cedar, Cameron, MO. Graveside services will be at Resurrection Cemetery Thursday, December 9 at 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Catholic Charities, 1112 Broadway, KC, and MO.
Jo Ann was born to, Eugene & Irene Eisenman on August 7, 1929 in KC, MO. Raised in KC, MO attended Bishop Hogan High and later, earned an AA in Micro-Biology.
Married to Caldwell Warner Reeder, Jr., June1, 1948. JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband Warner, her parents and two brothers, Bill and James Eisenman.
She is survived by her five children, Leiola Reeder of KS, Christopher (Pascale) Reeder of CA, Michael (Theresa) Reeder of CA, Anne (Tony) Gregorio of CA and Eugenia (Robert) McGuire of MO; two sisters, Mary Baiter & Betty Gibbs; ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Jo Ann was a life-long devout Catholic who volunteered for the Women s Altar Society, Truman Hospital and as a communion minister at St. Munchin Church in Cameron, MO. One of her greatest loves was baking for her family & friends.
Jo Ann faced her last illness with a great amount of courage, tenacity and faith.
JOHN DAVID FRANKLIN
John David Franklin, 60, of Leawood, KS passed away at his home on November 30, 2004. A memorial will be held at 7:00PM, Tuesday, December 7th, 2004, at the Amos Family Chapel of Lenexa, 10113 Lenexa Dr., Lenexa, KS. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Rotary International Foundation, which may be sent to the chapel, C/O John David Franklin Memorial Gift Fund.
Born in East St. Louis, IL, John David was a Certified Public Accountant, serving the Kansas City area for more than 28 years. He was past President of the Rotary Club of Lenexa, of which he was a proud member for nearly 30 years. A Paul Harris Fellow, John David lived his life by the principles of Rotary, with a commitment to the Four Way Test of his thoughts, words and actions. The Four Way Test is 1. Is it the Truth? 2. Is it fair to all concerned? 3. Will it build good will and better friendships? 4. Is it beneficial to all concerned?
John David started his career as an Exchange Teller at Jefferson Bank & Trust in St. Louis, and after graduating from the American Banking Institute in 19##, he began working as a payroll accountant at McDonnell Douglas during the Vietnam War. In the evening, he attended Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, earning his Bachelor of Science in Accounting in just three years in 1971.
Beginning his professional career at Arthur Andersen, John David left his position as Supervising Auditor after three years in 1974 to become Controller of Johnson County Community College. In 1976, he started his certified public accounting firm. Also in 1976, he wed Willa Marie Hodges, his wife of 22 years and the mother of his two children. In 1986, he formed a partnership with Robert (Bob) K. Walsh, C.P.A., and the firm of Franklin & Walsh Certified Public Accountants. Bob was John David s friend and confidant in business and in life for more than 25 years and remains a source of strength for his survivors.
John David is survived by his loving mother Inez Franklin of Overland Park, KS, his daughter Amber Franklin LaRue of Chicago, IL., his son John Brenton Franklin of Washington, D.C., his former wife Willa Marie Franklin of Lenexa, KS, and his companion Patricia (Trisha) Jean Sauer of Leawood, KS.
John David Franklin was a kind and loving father, son, companion and devoted friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
H. PAUL LANGSTON
H. Paul Langston, 79, of Shawnee,, KS, passed away, Friday, December 3, 2004 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 8 at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee with burial in Pleasant View Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 8 p.m., Tuesday at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association.
Mr. Langston was born in Kansas City, MO. He was an electrical supervisor for Smith & Loveless before retiring. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. He was an avid bowler and was a youth bowling instructor for over 25 years. He coached baseball and softball and loved to hunt and fish as well as play the guitar. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth May Langston, of the home; a son Randy and his wife, Julie, Langston, Lenexa, KS; a daughter, Diane Burkitt, Lawrence, KS; three grandsons, Andy, Beau and Casey Burkitt and two great grandsons, Caleb and Maddox Burkitt.
MICHELLE HOFFPAUIR
Michelle Sandoval Hoffpauir, 36, of Lenexa, KS passed away, Thursday, December 2, 2004 at KU Medical Center. The Mass of Resurrection will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 5, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 6 p.m., Sunday at the Amos Family chapel of Shawnee where the Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. The family suggests contributions to the Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation, 1111 Main, Kansas City, MO 64105.
Michelle was born in Houston, TX. She was an accounting clerk at Gear for Sports. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Ray Hoffpauir, Jr. and three daughters, Mickaela, Alexandria and Avery; her mother, Rachel Alaniz; two sisters, Patsy Vargas and Celeste Curnutt and two brothers, Nasario Sandoval, Jr. and Alfredo Gonzales, Jr.

Frances Ensor, 77, Shawnee, KS passed away Wed. Dec. 1, 2004, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Mass of Resurrection will be 10:00 AM, Monday, Dec. 5, 2004, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial in Lorraine Park Cemetery, Baltimore, MD. Visitation Sun from 6:00 to 6:00 PM, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee with a Rosary at 7:30 PM. The family suggests contributions to St. Joseph Catholic Church Adoration Chapel Building Fund.
Mrs. Ensor was born in Baltimore, MD. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband Samuel W. (Woody) Ensor of Shawnee, KS; a daughter, Deborah and her husband and John Kukula of Omaha, NE; a sister, Victoria Carroll of Baltimore, MD and two grandchildren, Mike & Maria Kukula.

John E. Foley, Sr. born to eternal life Dec. 1, 2004. Mass of Resurrection will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee with a Rosary at 5:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mr. Foley was an Army Veteran and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. John and his wife, Judy, were married September 1, 1971. Survivors in addition to his wife include; a daughter, Jennifer and her husband Kurt Wagner; two sons, Jeffrey and his wife Cathy Foley and John, Jr. and his wife Shannon Foley; a sister, Kathleen Bellinghausen; six grandchildren.
JOSEPH B. PONDER
Joseph B. Ponder, 74, of Overland Park, KS, passed away, Monday, November 29, 2004 at Trinity Lutheran Manor after a brief battle with cancer. Visitation will be 4 6 p.m., Wednesday, December 1, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, December 4, at Memory Park Cemetery, Longview, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the animal shelter of your choice or the American Cancer Society.
Mr. Ponder was born in Burkburnett, TX. He was a Baptist and was baptized in Longview, TX at the Longview Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Ponder was the Credit Manager for Jorgensen Steel Co. for 34 years and retired in 1992. He was a veteran of the Air Force. Survivors include his daughter, Debbie Ponder, Mustang, OK; his very dear friend, Nancy Ann Erwin, Shawnee, KS; his sister Betty Jean McMillen, and a niece, Karen Dalton, both of Dallas, TX.
