Oren William (Bill) Page Jr.
July 13, 1922 – September 3, 2007 Bill died quietly at his home after a period of illness. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2007 at The Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee, with burial in Leavenworth National Cemetery. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Oren William and Edith Gail (Stinson) Page a brother, Donald Page, and brother –in-law Henry (Hank) Brown. Adele Haehlen Lowe
Adele Haehlen Lowe, born February 2, 1916 in West Allis, Wisconsin, died September 5, 2007 in Overland Park, Kansas. Her husband of 65 years, Ralph, predeceased her in 2005. She is survived by son Thomas (Rhonda), son Bradley (JoAnne), daughter Linda (Jerry) and son Robert (Kathlyn), grandchildren Kevin, Jessica, Courtney, Heather, Brandon, Katherine and Michael. She was predeceased by grandsons Ryan and Read. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
In the 1930's, Adele was the featured vocalist with the Billy Baer Band and was heard regularly on radio broadcasts in Milwaukee. The band performed at venues in and around that area and also at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago and Bear Mountain Resort in New York. A member of the band, Don Swan, wrote a song for Adele that became her signature closing number. Over the decades "Dream a Little Dream of Me" was recorded by a number of vocalists including Bing Crosby, Tony Bennett, Ella Fitzgerald and Mama Cass Elliott.
It was at an engagement of the band for her future sister-in-law, Evelyn Lowe's sorority dance that Adele met Ralph. They married in 1940 and she excelled at her chosen career as devoted wife and loving mother. Her children remember her for her unwavering care, her magnanimous love, her delightful sense of humor, her strong faith and her selfless way of living. Even during her final difficult days she never uttered a word of complaint.
A funeral mass will be said at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lenexa, Kansas at 10:00 A.M. Monday, September 10th. The family requests that donations be make to a charity of one's choice in Adele's memory.

Debra Allison, 43, Shawnee, KS passed at her home peacefully in her sleep, Monday, September 10, 2007. Funeral Services will be 1:00 p..m., Friday, September 14, 2007, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee with private burial. Visitation 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the Chapel. Debra was born in Des Moines, IA. She was a Sales Support Administrator for Pitney Bowes.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Gregory Graham. Survivors include her husband, Kent Allison of the home; a daughter Nicole Allison and a son Nicholas Allison both of the home; parents, Raymond H. and Phyllis Graham of Shawnee, KS.
Thomas James Charbonneau
1940-2007
Thomas James Charbonneau (Tom), 67, passed away on September 13, 2007 at Kansas City Hospice, after a courageous fight with cancer, surrounded by his family. Tom was born on August 30, 1940 in Falls City, NE to Paul and Beatrice Charbonneau. Tom married Patricia Cusack Feb. 2, 1963 and they had three children.
Tom spent his entire career in the insurance premium finance business, and in 1977, he founded Premium Financing Specialists (PFS). Under Tom’s leadership as CEO, PFS grew to the fourth largest premium finance company in the United States. Tom semi-retired in 2005 but remained an active part of the company.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a brother. He is survived by Patricia, his loving wife of 44 years, and his children: daughter Joy and husband Darin Hall of Shawnee, KS, son Scott and wife CJ and daughter Julie and husband Scott Hardeman all of St. Louis, MO. He will also be missed by his six grandchildren: Brady and Cooper Hall, Bailey and Thomas Charbonneau, and Henry and Mitchell Hardeman.
Tom was the happiest at the Lake and in Florida, fishing, golfing and boating with his family and friends. Tom will be remembered by everyone for his kind heart, wonderful sense of humor and for being a great husband, dad, papa and friend.
Friends and family are welcome to attend visitation and funeral services at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shawnee. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 16, from 6-9pm, with the Rosary at 6pm. Funeral mass to be held the following day, Monday, September 17 at 10:00am, with burial services immediately following at Resurrection Cemetery at 83rd & Quivera. Memorials in Tom’s name may be made to Atchison Valley Hope in Atchison Kansas and Sacred Heart School/Sister Hilaria Fund in Falls City, NE.
LOLA M. BEHRENS
Lola Mae Lewis Behrens was born March 13, 1914 and passed away September 15, 2007 at the age of 93. Lola lived in Lakeview Village since August 11, 1975. She was born in Waverly, KS, in Coffey Co. and made her home in the Kansas City area since 1946. Before living in Kansas City, Lola and her husband, Herman F. Behrens, lived in Richmond, MO and Liberty, MO. They left Waverly, KS in 1939. Lola was a former member of the London Heights Baptist Church in Wyandotte Co., Kansas. She was also a Sunday school teacher. At the time of her death, she was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Lenexa, KS for many years. Her husband preceded her in death on September 20, 1988. Herman was a technical editor. He wrote manuals for TWA Trans World Airlines for 30 years. Lola leaves one niece and four nephews and a host of friends and other distant relatives. Services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Visitation will be from 10 – 10:30 with graveside services at 12:30 p.m. at the Waverly Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church, 8130 Lackman Rd., Lenexa, KS 66219.
ALTHEA RIEL
Althea Riel, 86, Overland Park, KS passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2007, at Kansas City, MO. Private graveside services will be at the National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS.
Mrs. Riel was born in New Jersey. She was a grade school teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Riel. Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey Riel of Mission, KS and Steven Riel of Minneapolis, MN and 3 grandchildren.
Clyde E. (Dink) Fry, D.C.
Dr. Clyde E. (Dink) Fry, 74, of Shawnee, went home to be with his lord and savior Jesus Christ on September 19th after a sudden heart attack. Dink was born in Kansas City, Missouri and lived all of his life in the greater Kansas City area. He graduated from Central High School in 1952 where he played football and basketball. Clyde received his Dr. of Chiropractic degree from the Cleveland Chiropractic College in 1955. He went into private practice and turned down many offers to play professional baseball including one from the St. Louis Cardinals. Dink continued to play baseball until he was 39 and then started coaching.
Dink was a member of the Grace Christian Fellowship Church where he was an Ambassador, Usher and Greeter. He also was a member of the Young at Heart group, the Kansas Chiropractic Assoc. and worked with Fishers of Men.
He is survived by his wife, of 53 years, Florence E. Baehr Fry, a daughter, Lou Ann and husband Dr. Mark Balderston, and a granddaughter Christi and husband Danny Bartlett (We are sad that you are gone but rejoice that you are with Jesus, and we find peace in knowing we will meet with you again).
Services will be 3pm, Saturday, September 22nd at the Grace Christian Fellowship Church, 7230 Quivira Road, Shawnee. The visitation will be before the service from 2 to 3pm, Cremation.
The family suggests contributions be made to the Grace Christian Fellowship Church Academy.
