JAMES DELBERT LANGE I
James Lange, 67. of Kansas City, KS passed away February 1st, 2005 at Specialty Hospital of Overland Park. Services will be held Friday February 4th, 2005 at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee at 10:00 a.m. Friends may call Thursday the 3rd, from 6-8:00 p.m. at the chapel. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Crest Bible Church.
Jim was born July 17th, 1937 in Kansas City, KS to George and Ruth (Marrow) Lange. He attended Rosedale High School and worked repairing televisions eventually owning and operating Jim’s TV Shop in Rosedale. He married Beverly Beals Fain September 7th, 1963 and they made their home in Kansas City, KS. Jim also worked for Interstate Bakeries until his retirement in 1987. He was a member of Crest Bible Church. Jim is survived by his wife Beverly. His children Kathy Fain of Raymore, MO, Teresa Hilgardner of Kansas City, KS, Jamie Males and her husband Jon of Shawnee, James D. Lange II and his wife Sandy of Shawnee. He also leaves seven grandchildren Tommy, Teryn, Marc, Josh, Alex, Ethan and Gavin. He is survived by his sisters Betty Caster of Shawnee and Thelma King of Kansas City, KS as well as a brother Jack Lange of Kansas City, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Lula Bell, Ovena Meierhoffer, and Delores Craft and a brother Arthur Lange.

BETTY IRMEN
Betty Irmen passed way in her sleep on January 31, 2005. Funeral mass will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, Feb. 5 at St. Pius X Catholic Church; burial in the Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call from 10-11 AM, Saturday at the Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to either, St. Pius X Catholic Church, 5601 Woodson, Mission, KS 66202 or HospiceCare of Kansas, 15239 W. 95th St., Lenexa, KS 66219.
Betty was born on May 1, 1920 and grew up in the small town of Salem, Nebraska. She became an accomplished pianist at an early age and was blessed with the ability to play music by ear. She happily shared this special gift with others throughout her life, even during her final years.
Betty was valedictorian of her high school class, and after graduation attended Chillicothe Business College in Chillicothe, MO. It was there that she met the love of her life, Bill. They married on August 14, 1943, and after Bill’s service in World War II, Betty and Bill established their home in the Kansas City area. After several years of working in downtown Kansas City, Betty became a full-time mom and homemaker in Mission, KS upon the birth of her two children- Doug in 1947 and Nancy in 1950.
Betty served her community as a member and officer of her children’s PTA, her ladies Circle and Women’s Club at St. Pius X Church, as cub scout and girl scout den mother, and as piano teacher to countless children. Throughout her life, Betty’s special gift to the world was her gentle spirit, her genuine kindness and good wishes for others, and her humility. Betty never put others down to feel good about herself. She believed in each person’s essential worth and goodness, no matter their wealth or social standing. Always sharply dressed, Betty had a wonderful sense of humor, and taught her children and grandchildren the joy of laughing out loud. Even at the end, Betty couldn’t help but bring herself to share the glow of her beautiful and loving smile that her family and friends will cherish in her memory.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Martha and Arthur Klima, sister Virginia Whitney, and her beloved husband, Bill. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy and her husband Jim Schumm; her son, Doug and his wife Monique; by grandchildren Andy, Audrey and Derek Schumm, Sara Irmen and Anne Close and her husband Troy; sisters, Marjorie Weber and Bonnie Haynes; many nieces and nephews; devoted and loving staff at Mission Springs Assisted Living; and by her constant , faithful and protective companion in her final years, her cat Ebony.

HELINA L. CAMPBELL
Helina L. Campbell, 84, Shawnee, KS passed away February 1, 2005 at Sharon Lane Nursing Center. Cremation, private family services. Survivors include sons, Phillip Campbell and William Campbell.

SCOTT MICHAEL BOND
Scott Michael Bond, 41, Overland Park, KS passed away Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005 at the St. Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City, MO. Funeral services will be 7:00 PM, Tuesday, Feb. 8 at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Friends may call from 6-7 PM, Tuesday at the chapel. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the Shawnee Mission Baptist Temple Building Fund, 12230 W. 75th ST., Shawnee, KS 66216.
Scott was born Oct. 15, 1963 in Kansas City, KS. He enjoyed playing chess and was once a member of the United States Chess Federation. Scott was also a member of the Shawnee Mission Baptist Temple. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Ray Bond. Survivors include his mother and step-father, Shirley and Daniel Bowers, Shawnee, KS; step-mother, Judy Bond, Roeland Park, KS; grandparents, William and Rosemary Cusintz, Neosho Rapids, KS; uncle and aunt, Henry and Betty Dahlin, Shawnee, KS and many cousins.

William Wagner
William Robert Wagner was born on February 20, 1959 in Peoria, IL and died January 10, 2008. Survivors include his loving wife Susan and his daughters Ashley and Karissa. Bill is also survived by his parents, Robert and Jo Ann of Raymore; siblings Lynn (John) Coxon of Dallas, Margaret of Lenexa, and Richard (Peggy) of Morris Plains, NJ; nieces and nephews Shelby, Mike, and Robbie Coxon, and Kristin Wagner; and great-niece Haley.
Bill expressed his creative side in many ways including stained glass, leather and woodworking, and years of designing and installing window treatments.
A generous and giving spirit led Bill to be involved in numerous activities helping others. He received his Eagle Scout Award and continued helping with scouts as a leader. Other youth involvements included being a referee, umpire and coach for various sports. With both girls involved in band, Bill was an active member of the Shawnee Mission North band board. He was responsible for refurbishing a trailer for the marching band to take uniforms to competitions.
God played a vital role in Bill's life. Whether he was on a missions trip to India, teaching Bible classes, singing in the choir, leading Divorce Care Classes, participating in puppet ministry, or helping others in any way possible, God's light was shining bright.
After 20 years of installing window treatments, Bill recently became head custodian at Mission Valley Middle School in the Shawnee Mission School District. There he made an impact on the lives of both children and teachers with his high standards and commitment. A major project that Bill was working on was the cleanup and reconstruction of the water pond as well as re-establishing the neglected garden areas around the school.
The family requests no flowers and suggests memorials be given to the Mission Valley Middle School Campus Beautification Fund (“The Green Team”) or Wayside Waifs.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 14, 2008 from 6-7 p.m. at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee , 10901 Johnson Drive. Memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. at the Chapel.
Bill was loved by many and will be missed by all, but we take comfort knowing that he is now at peace in the safety of his Father’s arms.

William Sutton
William Louis Sutton, 68, Mission, KS passed away Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008 at his home. Memorial services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, Jan. 8 at the Trinity Lutheran Church. Friends may call from 10-11:00 AM, Tuesday at the church. Inurnment will be 9:00 AM, Tuesday at the Leavenworth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to either Trinity Lutheran Church 5601 W. 62nd Street, Mission, KS 66202 or World Vision, International Office, 800 West Chestnut Ave., Monrovia, CA 91016-3198.
William was born September 26, 1939 in Cape Girardeau, MO to William C. and Louis Ellen (Tanner) Sutton. He lived in Sikeston, MO until moving to Kansas City in 1962. After graduating from Sikeston High School, he joined the Army in 1957, went to Army Security School for six months to become a Morse Interceptor and was discharged in 1962. William was an insurance investigator before going to work for the Union Pacific Railroad as an engineer, retiring in 1999.
William was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Ruth Sutton; son, Bill Sutton, Humble, TX; daughter, Vickie Fogg and husband, Dave, Pierce, CO; their mother, Judy Santner; two step-daughters, Laura Pyeatt and her husband, Marty, Eudora, KS and Linda Watson and her husband, Chris, New Knoxville, OH; seven grandchildren, Morgan, Bryson and Dawson Fogg, Chad and Brooke Pyeatte and Andrea and Felicia Watson; two brothers, Hugh Moose, Palm Springs, CA and Gordon Jines, Sikeston, MO; two sisters, Ellen Murphy and husband, Dean, Jefferson City, MO and Betty Jane Stewart, Sikeston, MO; also nieces, aunt, cousins and many dear friends.

William Semrau
William Alexander Semrau, infant son of Nicholas and Courtney passed away Dec. 18, 2007. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007 at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:30-8:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2007 at the chapel.
