Wanda Lu Spencer, 64, longtime Newkirk resident, died Sunday (May 7, 2000) in the Newkirk Nursing Center. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday (May 10, 2000) in the Newkirk First Christian Church with Danny W. Cornish, minister of the Newkirk Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be in the Newkirk Cemetery. The casket will be closed just prior to service time and not reopened. Arrangements are under the direction of the Miller-Stahl Funeral Service, Newkirk.

Richard Kimes Keene, 55, of Waco, Texas, formerly of Arkansas City, died Saturday (May 6, 2000) at his home in Waco. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday (May 10, 2000) in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Arkansas City. Memorials may be given in Richard's honor to the donor's choice. Contributions may be made through the funeral home. George G. Gochis, 76, of Wichita, died Friday (Jan. 14, 2000). Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday (May 13, 2000) in the Riverview Cemetery in Arkansas City. William Frank "Bill" Russell, 68, of rural Eureka, died Sunday (May 7, 2000) at the Greenwood County Hospital. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday (May 10, 2000) at the First United Methodist Church in Eureka with Rev. Jim Bush officiating. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Eureka.
