Elaine Nalley
Elaine Nalley, 59, Overland Park, died Thursday, Nov. 9, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center due to complications from adenocarcinoma cancer. She was born Oct. 28, 1941, in Mayview, Mo., the daughter of Herbert and Juanita Hoeppner. She grew up in Mayview, Mo., graduating from Mayview High School. She spent 25 years in the Raytown Community where she was a former member of the Southwood United Church of Christ. Elaine moved to Overland Park and had lived with her husband, Jerry, for the past 11 years. Jerry and Elaine are current members of the DeSoto Baptist Church. She enjoyed volunteering for various church and civic activities. She also loved to spend time with her family, friends and especially her grandchildren. Elaine was employed at St. Lukes Hospital of Kansas City for 15 years as medical staff coordinator. She was a member of the Association of Medical Staff Coordinators and served as President of the Greater Kansas City Chapter. She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Hoeppner; and her sister, Shirley Tye. Survivors include her husband, Jerry Nalley, Overland Park; her son Steve Goddard and his wife, Kelly of Blue Springs, Mo.; her daughter Shelly Williams and her husband Brad of Manhattan; a stepson Brian Nalley and his wife, Joan; a stepdaughter Cherri Garcia and one stepgranddaughter; three grandchildren; and two brothers, Dale Hoeppner and Carl Hoeppner. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 13, at the DeSoto Baptist Church. Burial will be at the DeSoto Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, Mo. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the DeSoto Baptist Church building fund.

Matthew Nan
Matthew A. Nan, 35, Olathe, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City. He was born March 6, 1965, in Kettering, Ohio, and had lived in Olathe for the past eight years. He was a 1983 graduate of Valley View High School in Germantown, Ohio, where he actively participated in sports. He received his bachelor's degree from Ohio State University in 1987 and was currently working on his master's degree through the Rockhurst Executive Fellows Program. He was a manager for Sprint, having been with the company the past 13 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Suzanne S. Nan, in 1974. Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Nan, two sons, Brian Matthew Nan and Adam Edward Nan, and a daughter, Elizabeth Suzanne Nan, all of the home; parents, David and Alda Nan, Germantown, Ohio; a brother, David W. Nan II and wife, Amy, Auburn, Ind.; a sister, Laura N. Boyd and husband, Marlin, Farmersville, Ohio; stepbrother, Eric Patterson and wife, Theresa, New Lebannon, Ohio; and two stepsisters, Cindy Patterson, Fairfax, Va., and Lisa Hanahan and husband Doug, Germantown, Ohio. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 20, at Indian Creek Community Church, Olathe, where the family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Farmersville, Ohio. Jessalee Napier
Jessalee Napier, 74, Olathe, died Sunday, April 23, 2000, at the Johnson County Nursing Center. She was born in Blackwell, Okla., the daughter of Walter and Daisy (Garnett) Harness. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Harness. Survivors include her husband, Louis Napier, of the home; and her sister, Luanne Spradling, Springfield, Mo. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 29, at W.L. Frye and Son Mortuary, Olathe.

Larry D. Natalini
Larry Dean Natalini, 55, Independence, Mo., died Sunday, March 12, 2000, at the Olathe Medical Center. He lived in Pittsburg, Kan., until 1965, when he moved to Kansas City, Mo. He worked 35 years for General Motors. He was elected district committeeman for Local No. 93 and held that position six consecutive terms. In 1995, he was elected shop chairman for Local No. 1021, and held that position until his retirement, Oct. 1, 1999. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Natalini, and his twin brother, Gary Gene Natalini. Survivors include a daughter, Melissa K. McClaskey-Crane, Olathe; his mother, Juanita Hardin, Frontenac, Kan.; a brother, Joe Natalini, Pittsburg, Kan.; two sisters, Pat Kavanaugh, Pittsburg, Kan., and Louise Houston, Wichita Falls, Texas; and two grandsons. Visitation will be 7 p.m. today at W.L. Frye and Son Funeral Home, Olathe. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, at the funeral home. Frank Neal
Frank Neal, 50, Stilwell, died Saturday, March 17, 2001, at Providence Medical Center. He was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio. He was engineering supervisor for Channel 9, and was adjunct faculty at Kansas City Kansas Community College in the information technology division. His hobby was amateur radio, silent key N8FN. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Joyce, of the home; and two brothers, Wesley Neal of St. Clarisville, Ohio, and Larry Neal of Bridgeport, Ohio. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Amos Family Chapel of Lenexa. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Salvation Army.

Ray Needham
Ray William "Bill" Needham, 77, of Osawatomie, died Friday, April 6, 2001, at the Olathe Medical Center. He was born July 3, 1923, in Lane, Kan. He was a member of the Osawatomie Christian Church, Masons and Odd Fellows. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Bridget Maxine Needham; two sisters, Lula Mae Spellman and Laura Belle Needham; and a brother, Howard Needham. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, of the home; son, Lewis and wife Johnna Needham of Osawatomie; two brothers, Donald Needham, Osawatomie, and Richard Needham, Garnett; one sister, Joy Dalton, Garnett,; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren. Margaret Nellor
Margaret N. Nellor, 101, Gardner, died Sunday, March 26, 2000. She was born June 29, 1898, and was reared in Marshfield, Mo. She married Kimball G. Nellor in 1919. The couple, married 41 years before his death, farmed in Johnson County. She was a Methodist and a community volunteer for many years. She also was preceded in death by two sons, Robert and Kimball; and a daughter, Barbara Boyd. Survivors include three sons, Joseph, Santa Ana, Calif., David, Kansas City, Mo., and Jim, Gardner; a daughter, Dorothy White, Wanache, Wash.; 16 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren. Private interment service will be at Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Olathe Hospice.

Dale Nelson
DESOTO, Kan. - Creston Dale Nelson, 70, of DeSoto, died at his home March 26, 2001, after a short battle with lymphoma. He was born May 21, 1930, in Kansas City, Kan. to S.C. and Mabel L. (Conley) Nelson. He married Beulah Jean Massey on September 29, 1956 at New Lancaster, Kan. They enjoyed 44 years together traveling extensively in the United States. Nelson served in the U.S. Navy for four years and the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve for 28 years. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict and was proud to serve his country in this way. He was a professional truck driver for 34 years. He stayed busy doing woodworking, tinkering with engines and home and vehicle maintenance. He enjoyed spending time at the family farm near LaCygne, Kan. and especially enjoyed the wildlife. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Jeanne, of the home; daughter Cathy and husband Spencer Schieck, Temecula, Calif.; daughter Michelle and husband Dan Drye, Nixa, Mo.; son Sterling and wife Debbie Nelson, Olathe, Kan.; two brothers, Kenneth, Selah, Wash. and Don, Pomeroy, Wash.; three sisters, Loretta Reynolds, LaCygne, Kan. Betty Bangs, Louisburg and Marilyn Morgan, LaCygne, Kan.; grandchildren Angela Scholl, Jeremy and Krystina Schieck, Jared Drye, Audrey and Travis Nelson and two great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. Services will be 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2001 at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel, 32665 Lexington Ave., DeSoto, with visitation immediately following at the chapel. Cremation. Alan Ness
Alan J. Ness, 62, Edgerton, died Tuesday, June 13, 2000, in Kansas City North, Mo., at his work. He was born Oct., 16, 1937, in Mayville, N.D., the son of Frank O. Ness and Esther Storhoff Ness. He was a 1955 graduate of Fargo Central High School and attended North Dakota State University. He married Julie Engel Ness, Dec. 30, 1961, in Moorhead, Minn. He had lived in Sioux and Lenexa, then moved to Edgerton 11 years ago. He previously had worked as a sales manager at Trend Plastics in Olathe for eight years. He was a sales manager for Best Tool and Manufacturing Co. Inc., Kansas City North, Mo. He attended King of Kings Lutheran Church, Gardner. He also was in the U.S. Army Reserve. Survivors include his wife, Julie Engel Ness, of the home; two daughters, Stefanie Blackburn, Tampa, Fla., and Stacey Ness, Lutz, Fla.; two brothers, Stan Ness, Portland, Ore., and Duane Ness, Plymouth, Mich.; two sisters, Betty McAllister, Ridgefield, Wash., and Gloria Ness, Portland, Ore.; and four grandchildren. Michelle Neville
Michelle Neville of Olathe, 42, director of learning resources and assistant professor at Saint Luke's College, died Thursday, March 8, 2001, at Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City, after a three-year battle with leiomyosarcoma, a very rare cancer. She was born June 18, 1958, in Coronado, Calif., the eldest of five children born to William and Lois Muenchrath Berberich. She grew up in Springfield, Mo., graduating from Springfield Catholic High School in 1976. She attended Saint Luke's Hospital School of Nursing, where she met her future husband, graduating in 1979. On Aug. 11, 1979, she married Denis Neville in Springfield, Mo. She received her B.S. degree in nursing from Webster College in 1981 and M.A. degree in gerontology and health services management from Webster College in 1987. She worked as a staff nurse and an assistant head nurse at Saint Luke's Hospital before joining the faculty at Saint Luke's School of Nursing in 1982, where she was an assistant clinical nursing instructor. In 1990, she became the director of the Learning Resource Center and an assistant professor at Saint Luke's College. She was honored to be chosen, in recognition of her many contributions to Saint Luke's nursing education, as the commencement speaker at the 94th commencement ceremony for Saint Luke's College in May 2000. She was the recipient of the following awards: Certificate of Excellence as Employee of the Month at Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City, January 1991; Excellence in nursing, Saint Luke's Hospital School of Nursing, 1991; Isable Curdy Teaching Excellence Award, Saint Luke's College, 1994 and 1997. She was recognized in fall 2000 for the "Angels in the Work Place" Award at Saint Luke's/Shawnee Mission Health System. She was a member of the Missouri League for Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society; and Saint Luke's Alumni Association. After her youngest son, Christopher, was diagnosed with Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy, she was an active participate in the muscular dystrophy parents support group and a volunteer for many muscular dystrophy events. She also served on the board of directors for the local Muscular Dystrophy Association. Survivors include her husband of 21 years, Denis; her sons Stephen and Christopher; her parents, William and Lois Berberich, Destin, Fla.; her sisters, Susan Berberich and Anne McVay and her family, Atlanta; her brothers, Stephen Berberich of Dallas; and William Berberich Jr., St. Louis, Mo.; and their families, her many friends who remained at her side during her illness, and her many students. Visitation and a prayer service will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Olathe. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 10, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Olathe. The family will receive friends in the church hall following the service. Miller Nichols
KANSAS CITY, MO - Miller Nichols, who as chairman of J.C. Nichols Co. expanded the city's Country Club Plaza shopping district, died Wednesday. He was 89. Nichols died at his condominium overlooking the district created by his father, Jesse Clyde Nichols, an 1897 Olathe High School graduate, who founded the company in 1905. The death was described as due to natural causes. He became chairman of J.C. Nichols Co., a development and real estate firm, following his father's death in 1950. He retired in 1988, following establishment of a management-led employee stock ownership plan devised to buy out the founding family's ownership interest. The company was sold in 1998 to North Carolina-based Highwoods Properties Inc. Nichols is survived by his wife, Jeannette; four daughters: Kay Nichols Callison, Ann Nichols, Nance Nichols Lopez and Lynn Nichols; a stepson, John Deweese, and a stepdaughter, Jennifer Deweese. He also is survived by his brother, Clyde. He leaves nine grandchildren.

Orbin Nichols
Orbin B. "Nick" Nichols, 92, Loudon, Tenn., formerly of Spring Hill, died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2000. He was born July 19, 1908, in Missouri, the son of Ralph and Nellie Nichols. He married Freda Mae Raef in March 1935. He operated his own service station for many years in Spring Hill, and lived in Spring Hill for 50 years before moving to Tennessee. Survivors include his wife, Freda; three daughters, Penny Nichols, Brenda K. Leonard and Darlynn Snell; a sister, Margie Doll, Urich, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. The memorial service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Loudon Funeral Home, Loudon.

Bessie Nicholson
Bessie Pauline Nicholson, 83, Ocheltree, died Monday, March 20, 2000, at the Olathe Medical Center. She was born Aug. 25, 1916, in Ford City, Mo. the daughter of Lloyd Otho Oshel and Mayme June (Baker) Oshel. She moved to Johnson County as a young child; in 1943, she moved to Ocheltree, near Spring Hill. She was a 1934 graduate of Gardner High School. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Olathe and the Miraculous Medal Association in Perryville, Mo. On March 30, 1935, she married Lawrence Bernard Nicholson in Olathe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, on May 19, 1979; a son, John Nicholson, on June 8, 1998; three brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include a daughter, Kay Boydston, Ocheltree; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m., with the rosary at 7 p.m., Thursday, March 23, at Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 24, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Olathe. Burial will be at Aubry Cemetery in Stilwell. Kathleen Nicholson
Kathleen S. (Shipp) Nicholson, 54, Gardner, died Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at her home. She was born Sept. 3, 1946, in Long Beach, Calif., the daughter of Charles Shipp and Nadine Dawson Shipp. She moved to Gardner in May 2000 with her daughter and family. She graduated from Central Phoenix High School, Phoenix. She attended two years of college. She worked for 15 years as an executive recruiter for Independent Business Co., in Dallas. She also worked for 10 years as an executive recruiter for her own company, ARS Group in Dallas. She was co-founder of Executive Search Roundtable, Dallas. She was a member of the Lenexa Baptist Church. She was active in Bible studies. She was preceded in death by her parents; a stepmother, Dolores Shipp; and a brother, Ron Eby. She is survived by two daughters, Angie Walters, Gardner, and Annie Collins, Austin, Texas; two sisters, Connie Burden, Eugene, Ore., and Bonnie Newman, Phoenix; and two grandchildren. Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lenexa Baptist Church, 15320 W. 87th St. Parkway, Lenexa. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Camelback Cemetery, Scottsdale, Ariz. Meredith Noellsch
Meredith Houston Noellsch, 87, died March 24, 2001. She was born Jan. 6, 1914, in Springfield, Mo. She attended Dury College, Springfield, Mo.; and Toledo University, Toledo, Ohio. She was a member of Chapter FL, P.E.O. Sisterhood; daughters of the American Revolution; Seniors Serving Schools at Havencroft Elementary School in Olathe; and Full Faith Church of Love, Shawnee, where she was active in Senior Saints, Women's Ministry, and Bible Study. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, William Joseph Noellsch, Lakeview Village, Lenexa; two daughters, Merejo Dussair and her husband, David; and Kathryn Bondurant; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at W.L. Frye and Son, Olathe. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Full Faith Church of Love, Shawnee. Harold Nord
Harold Herman Nord, 87, Manhattan, died Sunday, June 17, 2001, at the Valley Manor Nursing Home in Ottawa, Kan. He was born on Aug. 8, 1913, on a farm near Beattie, Kan., the son of Oscar Olaf and Esther Hederial (Larson) Nord. He graduated from the Kansas School for the Deaf on April 21, 1934. On Dec. 21, 1940, he was married to Nadeen Myrtle Dey in Omaha, Neb., who preceded him in death on July 15, 1990. He was a longtime Manhattan resident and worked as a carpenter from 1964 until his retirement in 1980 from civil service at Fort Riley. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Manhattan, the International Lutheran Deaf Association, Midwest Lutheran Deaf Association and the Northeast Kansas Lutheran Church for the Deaf. He is survived by two daughters, Lois A. Ferguson, Brookings, Ore., and Esther M. Zimmerman, Paola; a son, Carl O. Nord, Mulvane, Kan.; three brothers, Leonard Nord, Bend, Ore., Bill Nord, Cheyenne, Wyo., and Mervin Nord, Marysville, Kan.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Manhattan, with the Rev. Joseph Jones officiating. Cremation will follow with private family interment in Valley View Memorial Gardens Cemetery, in Manhattan. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church. William Norris
William "Bill" Howard Norris, 72, Edgerton, died Monday, May 15, 2000, at Olathe Medical Center. He was born Dec. 30, 1927, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Eugene R. Norris and Marie Powers Norris. He lived in Kansas City as a child, then moved with his family to Gardner for a year. He and his family moved to a farm north of Edgerton in 1940 and had been a resident since then. He was a 1946 graduate of Edgerton High School, where he had played basketball. He married Mayrene Counselman June 16, 1951, in Edgerton. He was a powerhouse engineer for Farmland Industries in Lawrence for 35 1/2 years, retiring in 1990. He was an active member of the Edgerton Assumption Catholic Church, where he served on the church council. He was a Johnson County Fair Board member and served as the sheep chairman for 35 years; a Sunnyside 4-H Club leader; Wednesday Morning Breakfast Club member; active in the Senior Citizens Group; a Johnson County Soil Conservation Association board member and past president; a Hillsdale Water Association board member; a former Lanesfield School board member; and a basketball referee for many years. He was preceded in death by two sisters. Survivors include his wife, Mayrene Norris, of the home; three sons, Bill Norris, Shawnee, Eugene Norris, Wellsville, and David Norris, Eudora; four daughters, Rita Norris, Chesapeake, Va., Kathy Rankin, Olathe, Annette Lauppe, Manhattan, Kan., and Mary Brannon, Greensboro, N.C.; two brothers, John Norris, Bedford, Texas, and Eugene "Mick" Norris, Edgerton; two sisters, Rosie Mayfield, Georgetown, Ind., and Jo Ann Patterson, Dwight, Kan.; and 12 grandchildren. Joe Northern
Joe Northern, 88, Paola, died Friday, Jan. 21, at the Country Haven Nursing Home in Paola. He was born May 19, 1911, in Kansas City, Kan., to William and Anna Falk Northern. He grew up on a farm in the Kansas City area and attended school there. He later worked in the construction business, learning to operate large equipment. He was united in marriage to Margaret Gardner, July 11, 1931, and they had two children. He and his wife moved around Kansas, Texas, Missouri and Arkansas while he worked for Carrothers and Crouch Construction Company. In 1943, a need for stock water ponds in Miami County, along with his own desire to run his own business, prompted him to purchase a bulldozer and begin to build ponds. During his first year of business, he built 54 ponds in the area. He also contributed to the promotion of Soil Conservation work in Miami County. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed supplying his friends with fresh vegetables each summer. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Paola, and he volunteered with the Christmas baskets program each year. He also enjoyed fishing. After he retired in 1973, he spent spent many hours in his workshop making wooden birds and lawn decorations. Preceding him in death is his wife Margaret, Feb. 27, 1999. Survivors include one son Kenneth Northern, Paola; one daughter Betty Jo Gillum, Laramie, Wyo.; three sisters Lucille Rogers, Bonner Springs, Florence Warren, Lawrence and Aletha Beach, Tonganoxie; one brother Harold Northern, Conway, Mo.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 24, at First Baptist Church in Paola. Burial will follow at Paola Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the services at the Baptist church. Lawrence Nostrand
Lawrence E. Nostrand, 72, Olathe, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, at the Olathe Medical Center. He was born Feb. 12, 1927, in Lido Beach, Long Island, N.Y. He had lived in Tucson, Ariz., before coming to Olathe in 1988. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a carpenter and cabinetmaker for many years. He was a former member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Nostrand; a stepson, Mike Andres; a sister, Mildred Unkel; a granddaughter, Danielle Nostrand; and a step-granddaughter, Dawn White. White, Olathe, Cindy Hamblin, Topeka, and Lisa D. Packard, Tonganoxie; three grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28, at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, of Olathe; the funeral will immediately follow at 11 a.m. at the chapel. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Olathe. Everett Noyes
Everett U. Noyes, 85, of Parker, died Monday, Jan. 1, 2001, at his home. He was born, July 2, 1915, in Sharion, Kan., the son of Alfred O. and Jennie D. (Williams) Noyes. He had lived in Olathe since 1952, moved to Centerville in 1997, and recently moved to Parker, Kan. He married the former Betty Vaughn on July 8, 1947, in Belton, Mo. He was a foreman for Johnson County Road Bridge for 13 years, retiring in 1978. He also farmed. He was in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1945, during World War II and received a Purple Heart. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, James Noyes; one daughter, Connie Noyes; one brother, Lon Noyes; two sisters, Opal Robinson and Rena Williams; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild. Survivors include his wife, Betty Noyes, of the home; two sons, David Noyes, La Cygne, and Steven Noyes, Centerville, Kan.; three daughters, Janice Smith, Wellsville, La Vonna Montgomery, Olathe, and Cheryl Schmidt, Centerville; one brother, John Noyes, Garden City; one sister, Hala Thuro, Princeton; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, at W.L. Frye and Son Funeral Home, Olathe. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Olathe. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the National Kidney Foundation.

Charles Nunamaker Sr.
Charles Joseph Nunamaker Sr., 84, Olathe, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, at the Olathe Medical Center. He was born April 21, 1915, in Kansas City, Mo., and had lived in Olathe since 1984. He served in the "Mighty Eighth" Division of the U.S. Army-Air Force in Nuthampstead, England, during World War II. He had worked for the Kansas City Southern Railway, Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, and John I. Paulding Company; and retired from Sears and Roebuck Company in 1977. He was a member of the Olathe Singers and Strutters, and was a former member of the Kansas City Community Chorus. Survivors include his wife, Sue Nunamaker, of the home; a son, Charles Joseph Jr., Overland Park; a daughter, Dr. Cathy Diane Ream, Olathe; a brother; Bert Nunamaker Jr., Kansas City, Mo.; three sisters, Dorothy Bowers, Independence, Mo., Maxine Thornton, Kansas City, Mo., and Wilma Gaines, Prairie Village; and four grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23, at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Olathe. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 24, in the Garrett Chapel at College Church of the Nazarene, 2020 E. Sheridan Ave., Olathe. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery, Kansas City, Mo.
