Ann Giebler and Wyatt Haase of Fairway were married on April 9, 2005 at Moon Palace Resort in Cancun, Mexico. Approximately 40 friends and family made the trip to Mexico and enjoyed an extended weekend of festivities. A traditional Mexican civil ceremony, complete with a mariachi band and champagne, took place in an oceanside gazebo, where the bride and her father arrived in a horse-drawn carriage. Parents of the couple are Steve and Debbie Giebler of Great Bend, John Haase and Lyn Chance of Lecompton and Gary and Janice Toebben of Fort Mitchell, Ky. The bride wore a mermaid-cut strapless champagne satin gown with an ivory lace overlay and front corset by Impression Bridal. She carried a bouquet of stargazer lilies, daisies and red roses. Jennifer Cox of Overland Park served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jill Hawkinson of Manhattan and Lindsay Bourdon of Kansas City, Mo. The bridesmaids wore tea-length matte satin dresses in sugarplum with chiffon sash by After 6, with matching bouquets of white lilies, daisies and roses. Will McQueen of Boston, Mass., served as the best man. The groomsmen were Joshua Bourdon and Eric Meysenburg both of Kansas City, Mo. The groom and groomsmen’s attire consisted of Hawaiian shirts and Tommy Bahama slacks. Witnesses were Amie Pringle of Great Bend, Jennifer Cox of Overland Park and Matthew Cox, also of Overland Park. The bride is a K-State alum and a home loan consultant for the Jon Platz Team at Countrywide Home Loans in Lenexa. The groom is a graduate of the University of Illinois. He is software developer for, and vice president of, Talon Interactive Technologies in Lenexa. The couple makes their home in Fairway.
