Stephanie Rachelle Edwards of Leavenworth and Ryan Andrew Fricke of Great Bend exchanged wedding vows on June 11, 2005 at Calvary Baptist Church in Leavenworth. The Rev. Christopher Boaz, formally of Hutchinson, performed the wedding ceremony. The bride’s parents are David and Sarah Farmer of Leavenworth, and the groom’s parents are Ken and Alicia Fricke of Great Bend. The bride chose a Maggie Sottero Felicity white sweetheart gown in white satin with bead work on the bodice and skirt. The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father, David Farmer. Amanda Whitworth of Leavenworth served as her maid of honor. The junior maid of honor was Jennifer Farmer of Leavenworth, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Tarin Maley of Leavenworth; Valerie Alexander, cousin of the bride, of Kansas City; Deborah Babbitt, cousin of the bride, of Kansas City; and Christen Harrington, sister of the bride, Cambridge, Vt. The attendants wore red floor-length dresses with short sleeves. The flower girl was Arianna Mitzelfelt of Fremont, Neb., cousin of the groom. The candle lighters were Mikayla Olsen and James Farmer, brother of the bride, both of Leavenworth. The groom was attended by his father, Kenneth Fricke. Charles Brent of Hudson was honorary best man. The groomsmen were Anthony Farmer, brother of the bride, of Leavenworth; Matt Brandt, Flagler, Colo.; Chad Mitzelfelt, cousin of the groom, Fremont, Neb.; and Kevin Fricke, uncle of the groom, of Little Rock, Ark. The ushers were Rick Fricke, uncle of the groom, Hastings, Neb., and Jacob Babbitt, cousin of the bride, of Kansas City. The ring bearer was Jerry Harrington of Cambridge. The bride will be attending Cowley County Community College and the groom is employed at Sharkeys of Wichita. The couple makes their home in Wichita.
