Lindsey Bledsoe became the bride of Klint Bitter in a double-ring ceremony on June 4, 2005 at the Wanamaker Woods Church of the Nazarene in Topeka. Officiating were Dr. L. D. Holmes of Topeka and the Rev. Doyle Smith of Great Bend. Parents of the bride are Ron and Karen Bledsoe of Topeka. She is the granddaughter of Bob and Jan Lingard of Topeka, Gene Bledsoe of Independence, Mo., and the late Norma Bledsoe. Parents of the groom are Mark and Chris Bitter of Great Bend. He is the grandson of Richard and Marline Amerine of Hoisington and Elmer and Aleen Bitter of Great Bend and the great-grandson of Ted Bitter of Great Bend. The bride, escorted by her father, wore an ivory satin gown by Casablanca. The strapless style had a sweetheart neckline with delicate lavender accent beads and halter-style vest. The floor-length skirt fell away into a chapel-length train adorned with large rum-lace motifs scattered around the hem of the skirt. She chose a crystal tiara for her headpiece and carried a hand-tied bouquet of lavender roses, white calla lilies and lavender lisianthus. Whitney Rice of Topeka, the bride’s twin sister, was matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Chelsi McAtee and Stephanie Colburn. They wore f1oor-length lavender gowns accented with green and carried hand-tied bouquets similar to the bride’s. Lane Smith of Great Bend was best man and groomsmen were Chris Aytes and Scott Beahm. The bride is a graduate of Washburn Rural High School and Mid America Nazarene University in Olathe with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is a registered nurse at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo. The groom is a graduate of Great Bend High School and Mid America Nazarene University with a bachelor’s degree in youth and family ministry. He is employed as the junior high youth pastor at Westside Family Church in Shawnee. The couple will reside in Lenexa.
