Lenka Elizabeth Gerrish and Capt. David Thomas Wright were married on July 30, 2005 at the U. S. Air Force Academy Chapel in Colorado Springs, Colo. Chaplain Ev Schrum of San Antonio, Texas, officiated the double-ring ceremony. Parents of the couple are Dr. Alvin and Cynthia Wright of Puyallup, Wash., and Daniel Gerrish of Huntington, N.Y., and the late Yvonne Gerrish. The groom is the grandson of Lonnie and Bertie Wright of Albert. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a shimmering crystal sheath, beaded with an overlay of Swarovski crystal and pearl over matte satin, with a sweep train. Her elbow-length tulle veil, edged in satin ribbon with rhinestone accents, was attached to a tiara highlighted by Swarovski crystal and pearls. She carried a hand-tied nosegay of red Charlotte roses. Dawn Hollowell of New York City, N.Y., served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Krista Fogelsong of Fort Myers, Fla., Terra Gates of Abilene, Texas, and Jennifer Wright of Carlsbad, Calif. They wore candy-apple red tea-length gowns and carried hand-tied nosegays of ivory vendella roses and pink calla lilies. Jeffrey Wright of Puyallup served as the best man. The groomsmen were Tom Bowman of Rapid City, S.D., Phil Gagnon of Jacksonville, Fla., Nate Maertens of Anchorage, Alaska, and Jeff Schrum of Grand Forks, N.D. Saber bearers were Rich Millard of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Luke Baker, Nate Barrett, Mike Cornelius, Jacob Jaworski and Ben Kessler, all of Rapid City, S.D. Music was provided by vocalist Julie Oberlander of Rapid City, S.D. The bride is a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind., with a bachelor of arts degree in political science and telecommunications. She is employed as a news anchor for KCENTV in Waco, Texas. The groom is a graduate of the U. S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., with a bachelor of science degree in biochemistry. He is a B-1 Bomber pilot with the Air Force in Fort Hood, Texas. The couple makes their home in Georgetown, Texas.
