April May Chlumsky and Hal Elliott Hughes II were united in marriage Jan. 3, 2004 at Larned United Methodist Church in Larned with the Rev. Charles Grant officiating.
Parents of the couple are Harry and Marlene Chlumsky of Larned, Eloise Garland of Moncks Corner, S.C., and Hal Hughes I of Rutherford College, N.C.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a David’s bridal original with a chapel-length train and carried a bouquet of carnations and tiger lilies.
Colors were burgundy and silver.
Maid of honor was Amanda Binns of Larned.
Bridematrons were Lily Jones of Lawrence and Katrine Chlumsky, sister-inlaw of the bride, of Larned.
Best man was Anthony Noto of Raleigh, N.C.
Groomsmen were Nathan Chlumsky, brother of the bride and Tyrun Flaherty, cousin of the bride, both of Larned.
Flowergirl was Hannah Honomichl, cousin of the bride.
Ringbearer was Keaton Hughes, son of the groom.
The bride has a bachelor of arts in religion and philosophy from Southwestern College in Winfield and will receive her masters of divinity degree from Duke Divinity School, Duke University in Durham, N.C., in May.
She will receive placement in the Methodist Church in June.
The groom received a bachelor of arts degree in mechanical engineering from North Carolina State University and is currently employed as a paralegal at Tom Hayes and Associates, a mortgage law firm in Cary, N.C.
The couple resides in Cary.
