Sandra Chunn Wood and Kirk Allen Zoellner were united in marriage on Oct. 2, 2004, at St. John Lutheran Church in Russell. The Rev. Henry Hartman officiated the ceremony. Parents of the couple are Danny and Luitgard Chunn of Milford and Donita Goosen and the late Roy Zoellner of Ellinwood. Matron of honor was Daniela Simpkins, sister of the bride, of Cheyenne, Wyo. Junior bridesmaids were Meredith and Melissa Simpkins, nieces of the bride, of Cheyenne, Wyo. Best man was Kyle Zoellner, brother of the groom, Kansas City, Kan. Ushers were Scott Stegen and Jeff Methe, both of Wichita. Gary Lavender of Wichita provided vocals. He was accompanied by Eileen Vladar of Russell, organist for the ceremony. Leonard Goosen, stepfather of the groom, of Ellinwood, was the scripture reader. The bride graduated from Patch High School in Stuttgart, Germany, and from Kalamazoo College, Kalamazoo, Mich. She earned a graduate degree in public administration from Wichita State University. She is employed with the Village of Park Forest, Ill., as economic development and planning coordinator. The groom graduated from Ellinwood High School and Kansas State University. He earned graduate degrees in business administration from Arizona State University and in public administration from the University of Kansas. He is employed as assistant village administrator for the Village of Mokena, Ill. The couple resides in Mokena, Ill., a suburb of Chicago.
