Jeri Mitchell and Joel Postlethwaite were married on July 30, 2005 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Great Bend. The Rev. Kris BjerkeUlliman officiated the double-ring ceremony. Parents of the couple are Dale and Yvonne Mitchell and Jerry and Debbie Postlethwaite, all of Great Bend. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a diamond, white and black delustered satin strapless gown. The back featured a corset-style lace-up closure. Asymmetrical side draping enhanced the waistline. Back embroidery combined with delicate handbeading graced the organza bodice and skirt inset. The back flowed into a chapel train. Jessica Kern of Great Bend served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Tasha Grossardt, Haley Guesnier and Shawndra Harbaugh, all of Great Bend. The bridesmaids wore street-length tank-style satin gowns featuring V-neckline and princess seaming. The empire waist was accented with a wide ribbon band, forming a small back bow. Brian Pedigo of Great Bend served as the best man. The groomsmen were Jake Sloan of Spring Hill, Matt Achatz of Salina and Mike Harbaugh of Great Bend. Taylor Kern of Great Bend was the flower girl. Instrumental music was provided by Karen Reddig, organist. Deb Higgins of Wichita was vocalist. Ushers were Scott Mitchell, brother of the bride, and Mike Burnham, Shawn Crane and Chad Leiker, all of Great Bend. Taperlighters were Keelia Postlethwaite of Lindsay, Okla., and Kyle Postlethwaite of Lawrence. The couple makes their home in Great Bend.
